You've done an excellent job with the Bug. You did an injustice to your work with the hideous rock music and inability to read the text. This would be so much better if you'd re-edit the text and the audio. Those in the VW community are interested in what you're doing, not flashy presentations.
Well at first I said what the hell are you doing for me it looked cool red a clear coat fix the rust 👍 but after you painted Harley Black I said yes . So I hope you get it done
We probably put in 500-600 hundred hours. Everything came off or came apart. We're also amatures and knew nothing about VW beetles, so we did a lot of learning along the way. We did all work except new engine and exterior paint.
@@suburbangorilla5515 nice thanks for info. I thought it'd be fun to do a big engine swap in a VW, but I think I'm going to pass on it. Too many sticks in the fire with other projects!
Just a bit of advice, the text appears out of order and one starts to read and then discovers additional text overhead. Very annoying. Next time have the text appear in the order it is meant to be read. That would be very helpful. Also move the text out of the way so it does not fill in and obfuscate the actual video. Also RUclips is a platform also used by the blind as the dialog can be heard. If you use text instead of narration the blind will not be an audience for your posts. Just food for thought.
The rear end was the unintended outcome of NOT being able to baja-ize a super beetle. We bought the derelict on a whim and had no idea what we were doing. We just t thought "oh, let's build a baja bug". We took the fenders off and chopped off the rear deck. Then we found out you can't make a baja out of a super beetle. So, we gave this bug its very own look.
Wow... The hard to read text only goes on for a bit you guys. Also, did you know that you can mute the music if it is so offensive? These guys are clearly focused on making a sweet build and they don't owe you S#!t, not every video needs to be a contender in a editing contest. There would be more content from super talented people (yes, probably not edited well, but informative) if it weren't for all the self-riotous video police on here, and that is why RUclips has turned into a sea of click bait garbage pooped out by a pack of vicious subscriber whores. On a lighter note, Good job guys on the build!
Ok so basically you spent money and replaced just about everything! I'm more the old school repair original parts, don't just change to new.. Looks good though
I greatly respect your way of getting the job done. Old school is the mark of a true craftsman for sure. No doubt you're an experienced professional. I admit we didn't know what we were getting into. On the other hand, we did rebuild, refurbish and repair several components, and in a couple of cases fabricated what couldn't be found or purchased. We reupholstered the seats, we rebuilt the original speedometer, we rebuilt and refurbished the fresh air box and wiper assembly.
nice job on the pan! beautiful motor! awesome paint job!
Love it, was half way thru and loved it. Dad and son must work good together…!
Great job on the bug! You did quality work on the pan and the body shop’s paint job was amazing.
I had to subscribe because I'm picking up a 72 convertible in 2 weeks and plan on restoring it myself.
Awesome work guys, it’s coming along great... even more special beings father/son project.
Nice work!
Like what im seeing. Awesome work.
… Beautiful VW ... can't wait to see the transformation !!! … Excellent Video !!!

The craftsmanship is awesome,
the photography and video is first class,
the music is okay and
the text speed and readability is intolerable.

I agree. The music was a mistake.

Nice work
Thanks for sharing...
Vw Rosstorations - thank you!
Can you put air bags on a 71 super beetle?
How did you tie up the struts
The way your text comes up is annoyingly hard to read.
could you please do another video of this but stop with the weird way that you do the text. It's very annoying
What was time frame and budget on this build? I've got a line on a '72 Super project. Thanks

Cool
slow down the text
Waoo, who is the restoration
I hate when people change the original design!
WHY DON'T PUT MORE BIGGER TEX ON THE PHOTOS !!!!! ..
I would have started with a vehicle in better shape, but that's just me.
Great job but annoying music
The way you're doing your text is a pain. Please stop doing that and let people actually read it as it should be read.
really annoying music and not enough time to take everything in because the screen is covered in information --omg!
Can't watch this because of the music.
I enjoyed the build until i saw the Baja ass end on the car... ugh
