- Hey guys. Check out a video on how to tune your BMW F or G series (535i F10 in this case) with new updated MHD Flasher App. I hope you'll find it helpful and informal. i just did my stage one MHD bro way better then stock the tubos spool so much faster you can feel the higher boost on sport+ shift so much faster the burbles amazing im running 3 inch pipe with muffler delete with high flow res sounds amazing this car should of been like this from factory next down pipe intake and charge pipe with stage 2 map cant wait

Got It done MHD Stage 1 with Turner Motorsports Airflow System (filter cone). So I had to have a map Pack and that meant getting another license it was $124 but well worth the cost, Now she moves. Next Month Stage 2

Nice video! just a question, im getting a downpipe and going to isntall it, so if i want to go stage 2, do i NEED to purchase the flasher license, and the stage 2 map pack or i can just buy it seperately from the app? if i get the map pack, does it give me the stage 1 options as well? or only stage 2 and stage 2+. because im not looking to get stage 2+ now so just curious. thanks!

Hello, thanks for all these great videos that you’ve made. I have few questions. If I only want the burble tune, i only need to buy the flasher right? And I’ve heard that the burble tune will damage the stock cat. Have you ever experienced any issues with your stock cat?

I though a charge pipe was the important part to upgrade before applying a tune. You’re saying down pipe. I was really hoping to avoid going catless for emissions/inspection reasons but I have charge pipe.
FWIW my son just did all this to his N54 135i and it is an absolute beast now.

How do I know which license I need to buy? Can I get the cheaper one and code everything I need or do you need the more expensive one to get the exact tuning setting presets?
Right now MHD has super license which has everything you need to tune your car in one package. When I was buying mine I had to buy the flasher software and then buy a map pack separately. They have it all combined now - here’s the link mhdtuning.com/products/mhd-super-license-for-n55 . P.S. I purchased mine from google play store when it was only available for Android. Hope this helps

I know this is a couple years old now but how is this compared to the JB4 with the wireless module? I'm getting ready to be in the market for an F10 535 and a lot of people talk about that tuner now too.
JB4 is so not necessary with the MHD tune man no hardware tapping to ECU required ez pz
I have a iOS device with enet cable and lightning adaptor. MHD will not connect to my F10 535i. Adaptor is good and detects enet cable, IP is assigned (auto) 169.x.x.x hence I get no connectivity. Any ideas?
Not sure about IOS mate I used android and no issues there. I’d hit up MHD support if I was you 👍

So question for you. I see 4 different choices to purchase. You have the super license, flasher license,n55 maps, and monitor license. Which one did you purchase to get your stage 1.
Super license will give you the flasher, map pack, and monitoring . I just got the flasher and stage 1 map pack it’s cheaper 👌

Yeah unfortunately you have to get maps separately
Would you recommend MHD or BootMod3 on a PWG 535i?
I’ve heard good things about both. I went with MHD because it was the easiest and reliable DYI tune out there ah and also cheaper. Regardless of the tune though I recommend NOT getting a $20-cheap cable and get a good quality wireless adapter 👍

Hey thanks mate. I believe all together it came out to about $450 (license $250, stage 1 map pack $100, wifi adapter $70 or so)

What do you mean by flasher ? You need the flasher (license) to tune the whip

Is there a risk for cars over 200k?
About 6 month and close to 10 thousand km’s no issues at all. There’s always a risk with the tune but stage 1 is nothing crazy power so I think it’s the safest option of all the tunes out there. Now a car with over 200k already at higher risk without a tune 🤪. Hope this helps

Yes you have to buy a flasher license and pay for maps (prices on their website or google play). Still the cheapest way to tune it 👍

Unfortunately MHD tune is locked to only one vin number therefore you can only tune a single car with it.

You can’t because license is tied to the VIN number. License was $250 and stage 1 map pack was $100 and that’s the cheapest way to do it pal
