How did you get on I'm wanting to join but I want to know what it's like, they should make a documentary on the process of applying & training to be a special or regular constbale!
Wish ill-informed kids wouldn't comment and give out incorrect information thinking they know it all. I've been a Special and am now a PC in training and no, they won't just accept "anyone", certain criteria have to be met, part of the criteria involves declaring all and every conviction, caution, charge, fine etc to them (that includes spent convictions), the force will then decide whether they will accept you based on the information provided, if you lie on your application form and do not declare something then it's likely your application will be binned when they find out, that's a when, not if. I was caught speeding back in early 2015 and was offered and completed a driver awareness course, I still got through to Specials and now regulars with that, although of course it was declared, such things are viewed as minor incidents and aren't usually an issue if declared. Other forces can be picky, BTP do not usually accept any applicant if they have received a caution, other forces are more forgiving. Certain things will lead to mandatory rejection, things such as: Terrorism related offences. Espionage Kidnap/Abduction Death by Careless OR Dangerous driving Murder Manslaughter Sexual offences, especially those relating to minors. etc.
So they were travellers dogs. They don’t give a shit. Let them run about everywhere. Probably been stolen from somewhere previously. They should have told the dog handler to bring a scanner to see if they were chipped
Hobby bobbies Police in Uk are a waste of time at the best of times we dont need part timers playing at the job whilst earning a boot full of cash in their prefered profession.
It´s because we want our country to be safe,the government dose not have the funds to pay police officers. So over 28000 British people, risk their lives every day to protect the public, fully trained professionals. So maybe if you use the one brain cell you have left, you might realise that you are a joke.
I was a Special Constable for 6 years. Got some valuable skills and experience out of it. Great times!
