GoolRC RS150A ESC DOA - don’t buy

- My attempts at getting a goolRC RS150A ESC to work. Was DOA but as there are no instructions to be found anywhere on the internet I have no idea if it’s faulty or if I’m simply not setting it up correctly.
It's not dead I have just spent 4hrs programming mine . You need to press an hold the set button turn on esc , then press the set button again then press throttle and red light flashes , wait with full throttle until it stops flashing then got to neutral a blue light flashes wait then brake until that stops flashing press the set button a 3rd time and switch off . The next time you switch on it should bleep 3s 2s or what ever is plugged in and work . Like I say hrs of my life have passed but I have had success. Let me no how you get on . Good look mate 👍
You are awesome. Worked like a charm. Now I need to wire it up and install. Hopefully this is a keeper for 53.00 on Amazon 👍
I cannot get mine to work I have two of them and neither one of them work properly.goes from blue to red no flashing please help me
@@carllyons4260 hold set button, turn on and let go. Then press set button again. Then hold full throttle, and presst button, it should beep. Then neutral and press set button, then full brake and press set button. It should beep. Then turn it off, and restart, and voila! Hope it helps
I to calibrate mine and it goes blue then I press the set button and throttle and nothing happens so tried without pushing the button and the leds just shut off witch ever way
It also goes red and doesn't do anything after it was fine before I reversed the wires because reverse was faster then forward no matter how I calibrated it
Just a pointer, if you hold the set for to long you will enter setup instead of calibration, and most likely you have initially pressed the set for to long and then by accident changed the settings in the ESC, to reset it start it up, then press power button for 3 seconds (with ESC on) that will reset it.
Then calibrate again, staff up and hold set for about one second.
Second pointer, you get what you pay for. A hw bl8 won't cost much and that's the same esc as the blx arrma is using.
My leds won't change when I do that
Ive got 4 different ones mate.
Hold set and turn on until ready Blues light.
Sometimes you need to move to reverse slightly to "activate" , usually just pull full throttle and you will hear one beep and led links red ( and blue) then turns to steady blue again.
Now full reverse, same response, two beeps.
Then leave it at neutral , 3 beeps, then turn it off and on again.voila.
Do this at 100 % throttle rate and try normal then reverse throttle mode on transmitter.it will work!
Did the red goolrc program card work for anyone, I've got one that came with an 80amp esc and it doesn't work on 120 nor 150a esc.
I've ordered my 2nd card and also a hobbystar led which apparently might do the job....goolrc CS hopeless and slow BUT
I had these esc out at 40 degrees on 4s w 2850 motor 15t pin on cheetah 21101 , it did not get past 50 degrees C, it is great!
I have to assume you have sorted the issue? I am gonna make a video showing how I calibrate it. Mine wouldn't go into set mode, until I turned it on with the esc not plugged into the receiver. Mine was same as yours? It wouldn't do anything... but, after I turned it on with no signal to the esc at all? the light turned red and blue, when I turned it on holding the set button. Hope you have it figured out by now. If not I would be happy to help.

U need to calibrate the esc. There is a set button under the power on button. Press it while turning the esc on. Wait. The LED turns Blue. Hold full throttle. Esc blinks red, beep. Now full brake position, beep beep. And now neutral, beep beep beep. Calibration ✅. Turn esc off and back on. Now it should work.
I have a simular version, what I've done was turn on the esc and hold the set button for 5 seconds
let go hold full throttle 5 seconds
Press set button
Hold full reverse 5 seconds
Press set
Esc should chime
Turn off esc
And it should be working after that
If not check motor wires plugged into esc, if it still won't program throttle end points unplug motor from esc try once more
If it's still not working its a bad esc. Or broken connection giving you a problem
Was the battery fully charged
I just bought one and I finally got it to work thanks to the comments. Does anyone know what program card is compatible with this thing? Or does anyone know how to program it using the set button and what parameters are programmable.?

Goolrc led programing card is compatible and please use hobby star application connect with PC for easily programming
Do you have part numbers for the cars and hobby star application tion connect?

I have the same esc with the same problem. Seems like this initial batch is faulty from manufacturer.
Cable 3 to 3 led 2 to 2 then 1 to 1 turn off and then hold set and switch on together, set your throttle to the blue light u well work that bit out. It works bro . This guys Cables are in the wrong holes in esc he put 3 into hole 2 .and 2 in 1 and 1 in 3 lol that's the problem hear .
I purchased the 120amp and the 150amp the 150 worked a little but same problem
i bought two of the esc both i have the same problems with
Motor cables are the wrong way round my friend that one I see at the top goes in socket 3 in esc them 2 in 2 and 1 in 1 then turn off car press set and on at the same time and set your Turtle. All dun .
Make sure throttle in the middle and on 100% on the remotes
Does anyone know what programing card works for this esc?

@@RcOffroad9513 I havent ordered the esc's yet.. I cant find any information on them either... The only things i found were people that had issues with them. I might just bite the bullet and order one, and figure it out for the RC community.

I got a couples of these and 1 was defected or so i thought i shelved it for at least a year..
I just kept messing with it, followed your procedures and try a few other things like instead of channel 2 for esc i put it in channel 1 ( were the turning servos goes) and that fixed it
He's got a 1/8 scale ESC, and a 1/5 scale motor and vehicle! He needs at least a 200 amp ESC to even pull that size vehicle
it's an Hobao Hyper ST Pro. Last time I checked was a 1/8 scale.

Yo I got 1 on wayhope it works for me.
Cable 3 goes to hole 3 then 2 ,1 then set and on button together to set throttle.
ZTW Beast programmer works on these ESC's
