I am a 42 yr old Asian woman. I have never been overweight, and I weigh the same as or slightly less when I was 18 and don’t look much different. I am probably in better shape than I was 18 because I exercise regularly. People mostly think I am in my late 20s because I have two degrees 😂

The idea of a “glow-up” is more damaging than you think because it forces you to compare yourself to someone with a totally different biology and development. You can’t compare apples to oranges; both end up great in their own way.
Im 23 and I’ve been struggling with a lot of body dysmorphia lately, also constantly wondering why I’m past puberty and still haven’t “glowed-up” like who I was seeing on social media. Turns out that a lot of what you see is still pretty fabricated with either a lot of makeup, forced camera angles, and/or filters.
Please don’t resign yourself to societal expectations. Your worth is not connected to your appearance in the slightest.

I kindof think puberty really did hit me in a pretty weird way (I'm an asian) but not only my looks changed but also my personality did, I was pretty extroverted and like I used to get along well with people, had like 1000s of friends but now I'm usually a quiet one and I've got only the real 6 friends out of those 1000s of friends ;) that's pretty good for me and the fact that I'm an ambivert now makes me even glad.

as a kid i was downright adorable, people always commented how cute i was and shit, now i’m an acne ridden teenager with fat in all the wrong places and i look completely lopsided, i look like the after part of the before and after drugs comparisons even though i’ve never done hard drugs
edit: okay i think y’all aren’t understanding that i don’t care that i have acne and if i did care i know how to get rid of it, i’m not overweight i just have a little bit of stomach fat that would go away if i had the energy to exercise, and since i don’t even have the energy to go to school anymore i could not care less about a small amount of fat that’s not effecting my health. i’m not the picture of health or anything but if i wanted to change i know how and while i appreciate that y’all care enough to try to educate me i already know everything you’re saying so please stop
