- We are Brian & Jessica, a married couple who started on a life-changing whole food, plant-based weight loss journey back in June 2018. In June 2022, our lives were flipped upside-down when Jessica was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer. We continue to share our adventures (highs, lows, struggles & everything in between) in following a plant-based diet while keeping you up-to-date on Jessica's cancer treatment. In October 2023, we welcomed our very first child via gestational carrier.

Today is the first time I could watch. I'm blessed by your presence. My partner of 30 yrs😢had mild endometrial cancer, had a hysterectomy poof cancer gone. Had radiation. Was considered good. Fast fwd to August diagnosed with pneumonia Dr said go to ER if no improvementt. She went. They did chest x-ray, said let's do cat scan with barium. They found terminal cancer in lungs, stomach, spleen & liver inoperable. Inside 2 weeks, my rrogck, my world passed. I'm thankful it wasn't long and drawn-out.,drawn-out but, omg it's hard. I'm so glad your story is happy. I will con tinge watching as its healing to me.
You do you and we'll follow along. You two are more real than most you tubers and most of us know that you are multi faceted. So, I want to see it all, go for it!!

It can be where you shoot your episodes, because, let's face it, people gather around the kitchen whenever they get together! You can bring food initially into the episode. I know a lot of people would be interested in plant based meals for babies & children, as well as adults. Krocks in the Kitchen can be about you growing as a plant-based family. 😊 Have a Merry Christmas!
Krocks in the Kitchen and Beyond...you guys have filmed SO many videos outside the kitchen, and we all still love sharing the life that you're so open about. Even if some of us are old ladies who don't have babies anymore, I'd never get tired of watching you no matter where you are or what your topic is! Enjoy your first Christmas as parents with your beautiful Elsie, and trust your gut to lead your channel in the future. Don't forget to nap when you can! :)
You could just have your same channel but have a special time that you insert like”Krocks in the nursery” something like that:) I think everyone likes to see what Elsie is doing and things you find important and helpful!

No, sweetie we don’t love the cancer, we love you three. Your videos no matter the subject are real, unpretentious and we love them. Anything you want to do videos about is just fine. Once I see “Krocks” pop up for notification I’m excited to see what’s going on with your family. Whether it’s about the Elsie or it’s about weight loss or it’s about your delicious recipes, It doesn’t make any difference I’m there. I believe that goes for most if not all your followers. I started watching you almost from the beginning and honestly I don’t care what your name is if it’s 😊 in the Kitchen Krocks in the living room or Krocks daycare, or Krocks on vacation, just do whatever you wanna do and I’ll watch.
Krocks in the kitchen, has always been more then just plant based recipes and weight loss, you guys are the kitchen table folks that can talk about life!! I love that you are so open about everything that is and has happened in your life. Yes, your channel is Krocks in the Kitchen, but we have walked alongside you as you have shared your lives with us, and we are still here, tuning in even when there are no recipes being shared or throwdowns being done. I too had cancer in 2022, had my scans and blood work every 6 months but now….December 20-2023 I now have “metastatic disease unless proven otherwise” so my journey will continue. God bless you 3!!! That beautiful baby girl, 😮 so very blessed to have you for parents!!!

I just watched this video again. I started watching your videos quite sometime ago, not because I’m whole food or anything like that. I just thought you were an interesting couple and had a lot to share. None of us ever expected to see you get cancer and go through that time. I prayed for you both every day and was so glad that at least I could do that. Then, of course, the baby! I check all the time to see if you have a new video. Elsie has no idea how popular she is right now. If we could just see her cute little face whenever you post a video, we would all be so happy. I know she is growing so fast. I hope your beautiful wonderful cousin Tess is doing well. What a gift she was able to give you. No other gift can compare to the one she gave you. Would love an update on her. Merry Christmas, Krocks! Don't stress about the content of your channel. We can choose to watch it all or just select the stuff we're interested in. I bet a lot of us are here for the ride and love a little smattering of everything! Those who only want recipes can just turn it off when they realize a video won't feature that. One of the reasons I love your channel is that you two are not "instagram perfect". You are authentic, open, and relatable. I love your recipes but I also love people sharing their messy, complicated, beautiful lives. Just be you, make the videos you feel inspired to make, and I promise you'll continue to find your audience. I'd keep one channel and maybe just sort the videos to playlists to make it easier for people to find the food based content if that's all they want.

House hunting tips: Buy a house in a cul de sac! Bike riding room; also, a backyard is a must-for the swingset. Do not buy a house whose yard slopes down toward the house or the yards around you slopes down toward your house. Get an inspection done before you sign. Look at the neighborhood. Don't buy in a big subdivision. Once the houses tank, so does your equity. Look at the trees in the yard too. Are they dying? I wouldn't get one with a septic tank, unless you're in the country. We had an inspection done of the house but it didn't include the yard. A dying tree fell on our roof the first week living there. We have neighbors behind us whose yard is like 6 feet above ours so all the rain comes down to our house. We had to buy two truck loads of dirt and get french drains put in. Hope this helps. I could go on. All this was learned the hard way. Do not get an adjustable rate mortgage either.
