We are Brian & Jessica, a married couple who started on a life-changing whole food, plant-based weight loss journey back in June 2018. In June 2022, our lives were flipped upside-down when Jessica was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer. We continue to share our adventures (highs, lows, struggles & everything in between) in following a plant-based diet while keeping you up-to-date on Jessica's cancer treatment.

Jessica, do you know the story of the bumble bee? I was in a horrible accident when I was 26. I was told I would never walk again. Like you, I fought like mad to get my life back! A year later, I was in physical therapy taking steps. Three years later, I was dancing at my wedding. During this ordeal, a nurse gave me a bee pin. She told me that aerodynamically, bees should not be able to fly because their wings are too short. The nurse said, “ every day bumblebees get up and do the impossible, just like you.” I saw your shirt and I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate for this video. You and Brian beat the odds and now have a beautiful baby girl entering your lives. Keep flying, the best is yet to come!

You two have been through SO much during the last 18 months, it is wonderful to see you both look and sound so happy. I know you realize that Elsie is a gift beyond belief but Tess! It brings tears to my eyes to think about who this person is and how big her heart must be ... her love for you shines so bright! Elsie is a very lucky girl. I wonder, how would one ever repay such a loving, generous soul like Tess who is making a dream come true?? I often wonder that and about those who donate a kidney and other lifesaving organs. I don't t think there is anything that will equal such a gift.

Yes! Great ideas! I was never quiet around my kids when they were babies. Vacuumed and the whole 9 yards and they can sleep through anything. I’m 64, so of course they’re adults now!

I told my son-in-law about the conehead thing a few minutes before my grandson was born. He thanked me so much because he said he would have been really freaked out if I hadn't mentioned it!

Wow, my 36 yr old daughter just gave birth 3 weeks ago! Baby was also breech at 32 weeks, healthy baby girl was born on 4th push at 37 weeks - yes, she had turned. And now at 3 weeks, she texted a pic showing baby’s hands wrapped on her bottle. Unlike her 2yr5mo sis who still takes a bottle but refuses to hold it! Much joy & love to you and to Tess for a happy, joyous & healthy birth!

I lived in Columbus for many years. If you haven’t visited the Columbus zoo, I would totally recommend it, it’s one of the top zoos in the world. The aquarium section is amazing, they even have a section with manatees that they are rehabilitating after they were involved in boat accidents.
If you’re on the west side of the city, Highbanks park is massive and really nice, when the leaves start to turn colors, it’s totally gorgeous.
You both look great! You both appear to have lost weight. Looking forward to watching you teach Elsie all about real food.
Hi Brian and Jessica. Now the excitement starts to build! What a blessing that you are able to be close by your daughter for an extended period of time! Of course, you remembered to bring the car seat along with all of your kitchen equipment, right? 😜😅
No worries about having Elsie in the kitchen. Dillon and Reebs (Well Your World) made a smooth transition when they became parents, and you will too.
Has anyone told you about sign language for infants? My daughter did it, and it was amazing to see my granddaughter communicating this way! Of course, crying was still one of her go-to communication methods. However, sign language offered a higher level communication experience. The amazing part is that you know exactly what your child wants to tell you…more, milk, mommy, daddy, potty, cat, dog, and so much more. I believe learning sign language also gives your child other developmental benefits, in my humble opinion.

PS: You will be the best parents ever! It's funny when you hold the baby for the first time the maternal/paternal instinct kicks in and somehow you just know what your babies cry and what they need.
