@@Andy-Against-The-World Agreed. I couldn't put down the first one. The physics and damage model were awesome. I think I tried the second one and was disappointed.
I say "Fuck you, you piece of shit" to the director. Do you know how hard it is to do all these stunts in a row? Yeah, Ive been play one mission for 2 hours and still haven't finished it
The reason the CPU cars get so screwed up on emulators is because they aren't actually CPUs. Their pathing is based on a controller recording and if they deviate from that path because of any multitude of factors, emulators, cheats, whatever, they go crazy. Source: Ubisoft Reflections Driv3r Let's Play
Wait BeamNG added pathing exactly like how you described where you drive a route and can play it back so theoretically we can set up a pretty faithful version of Stuntman in BeamNG
it's because the way the PS2 handles decimal numbers is slightly different from the implementation in the emulator, which in 99% of cases doesn't break games, but breaks the pathing here. when you change the way the emulator handles decimals in the settings, the routes fail in different ways. the actual detail in precisely how the decimals are calculated is extremely hard to get right, the PS2's implementation is almost imperceptibly different from the way you'd implement them on any other computer or system.
Fun fact about this game: Stuntman is pretty much Driv3r "prototype" just to showcase the physics which is looks impressive for the both game. And another reason why this game is so difficult not only because trial and error to perfection and precision, but also most of the time you pretty much struggling with it's physics that feels too "realistic". That's why Stuntman Ignition is little bit easier because it's arcadey. (Different developer too).
seeing this gem being brought back from the depths brings me so happy. i was around 7-8 when it came out and i remember dumping hours into this game. Hands down one of my favorites and i only beat it twice. Since i was so young i didnt understand defeat so i kept throwing myself at every challenge until i beat them all. I was so excited when ignition came out. a whoopin and a hollerin was my most memorable mission to do. This game needs a modern revival, but done right.
Your sound effects editing is beyond priceless! Love watching your videos so much! Keep it up! And thanks for playing the games that actually mattered to our childhood!

I used to play stuntman as a teenager, it was so freaking hard, i think i broke some controllers over this game.. it's cool how people are rediscovering it
Man this was one of the most difficult games I played as a kid. Countless restarts because of messing up one part. Eventually beat it 100% and feeling so relieved, then going back and trying to do it all over again, but with less mistakes. Such a fun and rewarding game despite its flaws.
It actually depends. Speedrunning community has discovered a plenty of hardware glitches through the years that can't be emulated. But for casual gameplay playing on the actual hardware is way more reliable, I agree.
Proud to say I actually beat this game as a kid when it released on PS2. But I feel like it was easier for me as I always played car/racing games. Loved this game and the free play mode where you could select any vehicle.
One of the things I personally noticed as a kid was that the goal wasn't to go fast, there were timed sections, but you basically need to learn the speed and route needed to hit all the points, the timer makes you rush but think of it more as a zero point, you want to be as close to it as possible, to hit all the points and to make it look good on camera, so drive with control, not speed.
I had the most satisfaction when I manage to 100% the first Stuntman game. What a thrill. Can't say the same about Stuntman: Ignition. I remember I was so disappointed I deleted all my save files. The worst part about Ignition is that some missions not even last a minute.
Stunt man was awesome back in the day every though it was essentially a tech demo but... I loved it. It was super hard at times with no room for error in some situations. Good video!
I actually beat this game on console back in high school YEARS after having owned it and getting stuck in the hong kong level. This game IS HARD and you basically have to memorize the layouts so it's a lot of trial and error but it's VERY satisfying when you get the stunt properly, especially the huge jumps that can be unpredictable to land.
Yes! I was gonna recommend this cause it’s like barely in my memory. I remember as a kid I got stuck on the level where you have to drive on two damn wheels practically the whole stage
I swear the amount of times I felt like throwing my controller across the room on the final missions of Stuntman was infuriating, still it was an amazing game from start to finish. This game definitely needs a remaster!
Playing this at like 8 years old was a pain, came back on a actual ps2 a few months back and holy crap yeah its still a pain. I couldnt imagine it on a emulator
Kuru missing the jet 12 times show why stunts like these are never all done in a single take. Also, you were ejecting too late, you're supposed to hit the action button before you hit the ramp.

Stuntman is one of the most underrated games ever. What an epic idea for a driving game!
Back in the day where devs fear no shit and will put you through literal hell just to having an incredible archivement sensation
i would say it's a gaming genre on itself, cause is not traditional driving, neither racing, is a Stuntman game.
only classic games from the older days i need is need for speed prostreet or shift 2 unleashed

Halo CE did the same for dropships, they're actually following a prerecorded path from a developer flying them in and then flying away
@@foxdancemediaIt isn't just the dropships, it is also most every NPC in cutscenes.
New challenge for PCSX2 devs: Get Stuntman working properly.
Make it happen
AFAIK the AI is super bugged in the emulation making it impossible to actually beat the game on emulation BUT WE WILL GET THERE!
Is it FPS related?..
@@yarost12yes. The game isn’t meant to do anything over 30 FPS so when it runs at 60, the cars you’re supposed to chase don’t follow the proper path
