@@NJDJ1986at one point in GT4 RANDOMIZER Mod run, i ever only got Gathers Drider Civic by completing Mission 21 to 24, but getting Setsuna Yuki's Minolta Toyota 88C-V for beating Mission Races 1 to 10.

For me i somehow got tons of banger cars despite being a randomizer mod. I also ever got Ren Hazuki's 2004 RE AMEMIYA RX7 GT300 for winning the MR Challenge.😅

Tbf the original prize car order is so shit I don’t think it’s that big of change. 206 rally is way better than nearly all of the licence test rewards.

i used to love tuning my cars for oversteer and drifting on this game.
i also liked doing rally on rear wheel drives
For me i also ever used cars ideal for oversteering like RX7 type R for GT4.
Fun fact: Dove have a little luck since he got a powerful car on the beginning of the license test.

There needs to be a mod that will randomise event entry conditions to be combined with this one for total randomness

Dude Kuru you should try Tokyo Xtreme Racer *Drift 2* just like Edna/Eden do, the game essentially has the features of Heat and Grid before they were a thing. That being tuning stuff, do legal races, buy cars in the day, then step in the dark and you'll race against rivals parked in the night. And you can apply for sponsors and apply the stickers, each spot gives different amount for each sponsors

Iam playing it on PCSX2 and I like it. Its hard at times but has alot of features like you discribed. It has lots of cars but the games economy keeps you tight and some races need to be grinded in order to get enough cash. And I wonder what would have heppened if they made a game with Highway AND Touge racing? Drift2 has many fast cars that are more suitable for a highway instead of twisting roads...

Kuru gets the Peugeot Rally Car out of the most shitboxes not including the R32, while Dove and his name gets lucky and blessed with all the Touring cars, Race cars, Rally Cars, LM cars, INCLUDING the cover car (GT40 LM II) from a Hyundai one make race
Ah yes.. GT4 was the dark souls of racing games back in the day.. It was my first GT game and it took me so long to get gold trophies.
Just started a playthrough and I’ve been getting some absolute trash vehicles. That being said, I’m driving cars I would have never ever driven in any other playthrough so for that I think this mod is amazing
Update: I did the 24hr at the Nordschleife and won a *drumroll* Nissan Primera 20V 🙃

I got the same RX-7 as Kuru, used it on the same race as Kuru, and also got a Peugeot, but it was the Peugeot 905 lmao

Never flipped in GT4, definitely flipped in GT5.
The only issue I have with this mod is, there is no guarantee to get the F1. There should be at least one event where you get it no matter the name so you can at least try to 100% the mod.
GT4 + RANDOMIZER = Speedrun
I tried emulating it once and i had some massive "motion blur" effects that were making it really hard to drive, need to look into that.
I have done 2 rando runs. First with my nickname which started well with a zonda and the falcon race car but only got a le mans car after the laguna seca endurance race!
I then did it with my actual name and got the M3 race car from the Sunday cup, and from the licences I got the Nissan r92, the Bentley speed 8, the pescara judd c60, the 02 Ford gt le mans...and several other good cars.
However my first run gave me all the cars I needed including kei cars and sports trucks.
ill never look at laguna seca's track map the same way again..

Kuru how are your ghosts working in gt4? I have the emulation too and for me they just either don't drive or go in a straight line and crash
yeah, I want to know too... Having working ghosts would help so much with some annoying license tests
@@abneto2707 Ghost doesn't work on the standard versions (well at least the PAL version as that's the version I had been playing) as of right now in PCSX2. The randomizer mod requires a Online test build version of GT4 which is slightly different to the other versions and the ghosts just work.

HOW did you config your controller? I've been playing gt4 on pcsx2 for so long and my controller setup was using an xb1 controller but the sens is insane for turning and gas and brakes

it's included in the Randomizer mod (which itself is a demo for the upcoming Spec II mod, which is going to improve even more sounds)

How the fuck do you get ghosts and see checkpoint timer? I have neither on my emulator.
Also fuck license tests and gold timers.
for the checkpoint timer at least, you need to set PCSX2 Settings (or Game Properties) > Advanced > EmotionEngine (MIPS-IV) > Clamping Mode > Full
but if you change this while you already have a save file, it might corrupt your garage. it's best to start a new game after changing it
and I think ghosts just work if you use the GT4 Online version, but then you get all the cars and 100 million credits (unless you're using the Randomizer mod)
so I don't know if it's fixable if you wanna just play the game normally
