@@yotaxpeditionis it possible to extend the breather as high as a snorkel would be if installed? I don't see the point of extending the breather when it's not as high as a snorkel.
The way the breather is designed it would be difficult to get dirt in it. The problem comes when you submerge it in water. So if you do any water crossings or mud pits then I would suggest extending it.

Thank you for the information. I had no idea what it was for on my JKU.
You also want to re route then to a higher location if you do major off-roading where water will be over the breather
Correct, that's what we we're in the middle of doing when we talked about the factory diff breather.
Is there a kit out there for this. Would like to run a tube from the diff?
@@ParZIVal19D he explained he was doing a ARB diff breather kit
@@kilobear9157 ordered one👍🏻

Is there one one on the front end or just the rear differential?
There is one on the front diff as well but it already extended up into the engine bay

wow! That's great to know. Could you show where you got it out of and what we should look for when it's clogged?
We have a full install video on our channel of removing the OEM breather and installing an ARB diff breather kit! Check it out!
I looked for it on my first gen Dakota last week and just found a tube coming out. Idk what to do now...
Your good if your already have a breather line.
Must be nice working in the sunbelt
Yeah, not here in Pennsylvania

Can sand, dirt, dust etc etc get into your diff from the breather???

Correct, milky differential fluid means there is water in it. Which will thin it out and not lubricate properly and over time will cause corrosion.
Builds pressure, why? Heat. If they dont know your not giving them all the info.
