  • Recently picked up a 2024 #HondaCrf300L had exactly 1 mile on the odometer. Has around 85 miles now and I had to start changing things up. #Protaper contour bars with the #CRHighBend #yoshimura exhaust. #MooseRacing #Skidplate and linkage protection. #Zeta pegs and a #TstIndustries taillight to clean up the rear end. Still got more mods to do, so this is just the start! #honda #hondaacty #crf300l #hondalife #dirtbike #dualsport

I can tell from the sound of the exhaust the air box could use a little modification as well.

Yeah. I’m starting to research and look into intake mods.

@@DontKnowWhatToDoWithMyHands I went with the 550 Performance air box cover, and cut a couple inches off the snorkel, and I run a K&N air filter. Ive actually had my intake set up 3 different ways, since I purchased my Rally back in 2021, but this is what I have found to work best for me for now.
I started out by upgrading to the 87 stock improved tune, the 550 air box lid, drilled out the spark arrestor, and removed the metal screen on the stock air filter. That set up worked very well at the time. When I decide to upgrade the ECU again, to the 87 stage 1 tune, I installed the aftermarket exhaust, installed the K&N air filter and that’s when I realized I needed to cut a couple inches off the snorkel tube. At first I removed it all the way, but discovered that was a little too much, so I cut it. Now it’s perfect. I’ve researched all the air filters on the market, and believe K&N has the best offering. But, that’s just my opinion. Next year this time I plan on upgrading to the 301 big bore kit, and the stage 3 tune. I’m really having fun with making incremental upgrades and modifications, just to see how the bike performs with every single mod. Ultimately, I’ll probably end up on the stage 4 tune. It’s awesome that 550 Performances does these tunes for free once you purchase the first one.

Great info. And I’ll use this info for sure. I agree with incremental upgrades and really seeing how each little change or upgrade affects the bike. Best way to go.

@@DontKnowWhatToDoWithMyHands yeah well, I’m older now. Have had more bikes than I can remember, and in my younger days I probably didn’t have the patience to do such things. Lol.. But now I enjoy doing it this way. The CRF’s are some really fun bikes in every aspect. Enjoy it!

I definitely need to change my bars. I was going to go with Chubs on risers but I like the CR high bend look.

Chubs on risers would work great too. The change in height made a huge difference for me.
