    My biggest tip is to count every row, and if you don’t have the right number of stitches, you must rip it out and do it again. Even one stitch makes a huge difference in the shaping. Ripping out (or frogging, as we like to call it) is heart-breaking and time consuming but a necessary evil to get the shaping correct!

      @Crocheniacs  3 месяца назад

      Yeah, it is super frustrating to frog a project, but depending on what we are crocheting it is necessary, as you said! Thanks so much for you message 😘

      This is such a good tip! I didn’t take it seriously and thought I could adjust on the next row….I was wrong. I am so much happier redoing the row……especially certain parts of the amigrumi ! Thank you for reminding me the right path is try that round again 😊

    I can’t believe you have haters? Your amigurumis are amazing and if you get a thumbs down then it’s due to jealousy on their part. Keep up your fantastic work and videos and thank you for being my inspiration 😊

    You cut your finger? Oh now I don't feel like a True Crochet! I never bled for my craft! LOL But I did sprain my finger trying to make a basket with thick yarn. Chilnelle yarn - I am learning to embrass it! You are so right about Hobbii yarn. I am loving it! Yarn tension - I always ignored it. But I'm in the process of making a book for my grandson and the pages HAVE to be the same size. NIGHTMARE! So I'm working on it now. No. 4 - Clothes! HA! couldn't stop laughing! This is why Sally (Nightmare before Xmas) is wearing a mini skirt instead of a dress! Though I must admit, it was a cute mini dress and she did wear it well. But good advice for the next project. Measure as you go! EMOTIONS! I never knew crocheting could bring out SO MANY emotions. And believe me, there are times I become this CRAZED person when I don't understand something. But when I figuer it out and the project is finished and it looks good, I am proud. Again girl, another great video.

    • @Crocheniacs
      @Crocheniacs  3 месяца назад

      Only sometimes! I had to learn different ways of holding the yarn in my left hand because I used to cut my finger every time. It took me a while to realize it was because of the way I was holding it 🤦🏻‍♀️
      Wow! You are crocheting a book? Is it like a playful book? I think these are SO CUTE! He will love it, regardless of the size of the pages 😅
      And yeah, the feeling of finishing a project is unique. You look at the crochet piece and you say "Oh yeah, I did that!" hahaha - Always one of the best feelings!

    I can't believe some people crochet till their skin rips open 😭 I'm so paranoid about developing chronic pain in my arms that I ban myself from crocheting for a week or so every time my arms start to hurt. I know the crochet withdrawal is hard but health is so much more important

    I've tried a LOT of brands of chenille and I swear I have a huge problem with chenille in general because it knots so easily and I just have to cut it and start over. It's hard to see my stitch count too. However, using a different type of yarn with the chenille makes things easier, like an acrylic yarn. It's like using it as a guide for the chenille, almost like covering a wire with clay. Makes it slightly less of a nightmare to work with. Catmigurumi has a great tutorial for it.

    • @Crocheniacs
      @Crocheniacs  3 месяца назад

      I know how you feel, it took me YEARS to find one yarn that didn't break that easily, I could frog a project without making knots or destroying the whole thing, and also that was easier to see the stitches. Believe me, it exists 🤣
      But sure working with other yarns combined, like doing the magic ring for example definitely helps a LOT!

    You need drape in the clothes. I usually go half a hook size up then don't have to change the stitch count if it's a little dense.

      I love crochet clothes!! I'd like to learn knitting clothes! Although I don't like when designers use different weight yarn to make it. I use fingering weight yarn, Yan uses worsted for the body and fingering for the clothes, so what I have to use?? Haha

    #clothes
    About the callouses, I'm developing one because of the number of the needle engraved on the the needle. Right on that part, my middle finger keeps touching, and it's hurting... 😖😖😖 I need a needle with rubber...

    • @Crocheniacs
      @Crocheniacs  3 месяца назад

      Yeeeees!!! I know exactly how you feel! Because it is the way that we crochet that causes it. Depending on the way we hold the crochet hook, it might not even happen. But after we learn it, it becomes a habit and it is difficult to change the way we crochet.
