That looks pretty nice. Is the 360 camera resolution improved over RAV4? I wish they put more power in the plugin model. Like a "500h+" would've been nice. The 306hp powertrain is fine in the RAV4 and NX, but you'd have expected them to up the performance in the bigger and heavier RX. It's a bit lackluster in this body.
Mr.Redline, you have done a very good job with this particular video. Of course, your subject matter made that a little easier, but just the same, great job!
I don’t understand why people expect a more reliable car to be cheaper. Price is fine for the performance and all you get. X5s if optioned easily get to 80-90k.
I really enjoy the styling of this vehicle, looks are rather subjective to many. I love how people say the performance is lacklustre but 95% of the people who shop SUV’s aren’t looking for speed, mostly comfort and reliability, which explains why it’s a top seller, even among the European brands. And don’t even compare and Acura or Genesis as they are mostly comparable to American Luxury like Cadillac and Lincoln. I currently own a 4Runner and lease an M3 so I’m not subjective although 95% of these people can’t afford these vehicles anyways.
Does the air suspension have a ride height adjustment? It seems that some images I’ve seen of the 500, show the vehicle ride height a slight bit lower!
I love the rear of the vehicle but the front end still looks like a bird to me, like a crow. I think it’s better in darker colors personally but overall, amazing car can’t wait to see in person.
Trying to understand the difference between the engine, trans and adaptive suspension of this car and the Crown Platinum. Havent seen this comparison yet.
Did you feel that this car jerked around a lot and was looking for the ideal gear? I drove a 2023 rx350 luxury and the f sport and both seemed to have a loud cab with the new motor reving higher and being noticeable inside. Curious if the hybrid option eliminates that
Love the RAV4 Prime, but the RX500H is a more luxury in terms of interior design and material, it is roomier as well. Lexus does offer the NX450H+, similar size to the RAV4P, performance is similar as well.
Expect mediocre performance. The fastest crown will do 60 in 5.8 seconds. That’s rav4 prime and Camry v6 performance but you pay significantly more than the camry
Storm Trooper Livery is very popular. Fenders are round now versus Countach tri arch. Does voice command get you to screen or change drivemode? Launch in SPORT mode? DRLs are switched off.
I do really like the color and the redesign, I just hate the front grill. If I get a black color it will blend with the grill but white look sharp then any other color. I hope Lexus fix that front grill.
Thanks for the great review. I am curious about the 6-speed gear box though. Did you have a chance to notice the RPM when you were at 65mph? Coming from a 2018 Highlander with an 8-speed, at 65mph, the RPM is around 1500!!
About the same rpm at 65mph. In normal driving it doesn’t rev very high because all the 550nm of torque is at around 2000 rpm. I have had this car for about 2 months and love it. It doesn’t corner like my LC 500 but that is to be expected.
No comment regarding possible reliability questions when they downgraded from 6 to 4 cylinders which requires the engine to work extremely efficiently.

I was just close to buying one until you just told me that I cannot High MPGs and F Sport only come in the 500h which is really not a gas saver but it would be nice to have a sports package in the 350h model that would have been sweet it seem like Lexus get three steps ahead and they go back one
Shame they went for a 4cyl over a v6. Mazda went from 4cyl cx9 to a i6 cx9. They realised people wanted more power and grunt for a suv cx9. Lexus and toyota is going backwards. V6 highlander to a 4cyc…
I was in market to trade my 2016 RX 350 (Also i own ES 350 and GX 460) since being a loyal and repeat customer of Lexus there is 0 chances i would think about another brand, so i decide to go check 2023 RX, it's fresh looking, but very aggressive. A lot of cool new features but it wasn't the same as 2022 RX. And no V6, less actual switches and more $.
Bought one yesterday, and they had four 500h in stock the day I emailed the dealer and 33 total RX's in stock to 25 the day I showed up. 2 were in the delivery area, and when I picked mine up, 4 other RX's getting delivered. I didn't have to pay over the list, but they don't discount them. I paid cash, and they gave me 4year 50k maintenance for free on top of all weather mats and cargo mat. That saved me around 2800 dollars. The list was 70,550 and cross shopped with a GLE, and the price difference for similar options was insane.
No plug in hybrid. So glad they didn't do that. I love that the performance version is a standard hybrid where we don't have to deal with home plugs or charging stations.
I enjoy the quality that comes with Lexus but I definitely don't like the new grill with the line going across the hood. Also I agree they are behind in technology that they include in the cars compared to cars that are similar in price
The price is in the stratosphere, but I do like what they've done with this F-Sport overall. I just don't think many will find it worth that high price when stacked up against its peers. Also, I'm not feeling the 6-speed transmission, an odd choice for sure.

And it's not a plugin, the 450h is the plug in you just mixed the part where he's driving 450h and 500h and are now too deep to admit you're wrong and audi themselves rate Q5 0-60 at 5.9 sec
Great review, glad to see Lexus with updated RX. 72K might be high for the normal RX buyer but most are not into speed. I feel this will still be #1 selling luxury SUV. I will trade my RX when time is right on the new one. You just can't beat a Lexus overall for day to day driving.
Try a genesis gv80. That beats the RX for daily driving
@@naveenthemachine how do you know when you've driven neither
@@naveenthemachine Genesis's reliability is still unproven at this point, if you drop out of the reliability, why not just get the german competition?
@@kencai6803 genesis has a longer warranty and since its Asian it’s cheaper to maintain than the germans
@@naveenthemachine Longer warranty doesn't mean better reliability, the market still need to wait for years to figure out the reliability of the genesis, for now Hyundai still having low resell value, that's why we need wait for years to see how the newer generation Hyundai product works in a long term.
Now this is a nice RX.
Once a Lexus guy always one. I like the deeper hood profile; reminds me of a bigger, more aggressive truck, like an 18 wheeler.
have you heard of any way to disable the fake piped-in engine noise?
This is on the list of SUVs to purchase soon. love it more everyday.
Super fantastic I love your reviews keep up the good work.
EXCELLENT review! As always. Very thorough and complete.
Mr.Redline, you have done a very good job with this particular video. Of course, your subject matter made that a little easier, but just the same, great job!
Thank you for confirming the 450h+ doesn't switch to gas when you floor it. Still torn between the 450h+ or the 500h.
I don’t understand why people expect a more reliable car to be cheaper. Price is fine for the performance and all you get. X5s if optioned easily get to 80-90k.
Here we go!
Honda robbery
Preach 💯
Nice review. I have owned two RXs, 2016 & currently 2021. Good to see the RX get a jolt in performance!
But it’s just not enough considering the competition is even stronger than ever
Don’t think you can go wrong with your 2021
Does the air suspension have a ride height adjustment? It seems that some images I’ve seen of the 500, show the vehicle ride height a slight bit lower!
I love the rear of the vehicle but the front end still looks like a bird to me, like a crow. I think it’s better in darker colors personally but overall, amazing car can’t wait to see in person.
Reliability is king 🤴, therfore so is LEXUS.
Trying to understand the difference between the engine, trans and adaptive suspension of this car and the Crown Platinum. Havent seen this comparison yet.
that gloss black area has a section that has a light.
in Europe it costs 100+ grands, so Mercedes or BMW looks 1000 times better offer. But if in US it is 65K, then it is definitely a deal
The 26 combined mileage fuel economy for a hybrid says it all. The rest are just superlatives.
Did you feel that this car jerked around a lot and was looking for the ideal gear? I drove a 2023 rx350 luxury and the f sport and both seemed to have a loud cab with the new motor reving higher and being noticeable inside. Curious if the hybrid option eliminates that
Hey, if you are still interested. I own a 500h and the hybrid drivetrain is seamlessly smooth
Anyone else disappointed by the 0-60 on this F sport RX. When I realized the Rav4 Prime is faster I lost interest in purchasing the F sport
Love the RAV4 Prime, but the RX500H is a more luxury in terms of interior design and material, it is roomier as well. Lexus does offer the NX450H+, similar size to the RAV4P, performance is similar as well.
The performance is so pathetic 😂
It can’t even outperform a Camry v6
@@jml9550 a Camry v6 also offers the same performance
@@naveenthemachine
I need to test drive the IS 500 F Sport
@@Noypi54494 that’s definitely faster and it sounds way better.
Is a break torque launch harmful on an auto trans?
I'm curious to see how this powertrain works in the Crown Platinum which is more or less the same size as the RX but is a sedan. Great job!
Expect mediocre performance. The fastest crown will do 60 in 5.8 seconds. That’s rav4 prime and Camry v6 performance but you pay significantly more than the camry
Would be helpful if you can add the gas type octane number into the spec chart.
Good job Lexus! 👌🏼
Storm Trooper Livery is very popular. Fenders are round now versus Countach tri arch. Does voice command get you to screen or change drivemode?
Launch in SPORT mode? DRLs are switched off.
If there was a plug in option, I would buy it. Everything else is on point.
There is, the RX 450h+ will be coming to the US next year.
@@theredline Great. Thanks for the tip.
I do really like the color and the redesign, I just hate the front grill. If I get a black color it will blend with the grill but white look sharp then any other color. I hope Lexus fix that front grill.
do you HAVE to get red interior or is all black available?
You can get all black.
Keep it up Sofyan
You rock!!
Great camera action. I was able to see everything
Love the new styling!
I'm just curious, how does that 6-speed digest all that power?
We have a 2019 Lexus LC500 - greatest sport coupe ever made. Love the new look...black WRAP the C pillar to give it a bit of Range Rover esk....on the rear glass panel = Will Look even better!
Lexus IS getting a lot of updates/refresh’s, any idea if a new ES is coming?
I was in market to trade my 2016 RX 350 (Also i own ES 350 and GX 460) since being a loyal and repeat customer of Lexus there is 0 chances i would think about another brand, so i decide to go check 2023 RX, it's fresh looking, but very aggressive. A lot of cool new features but it wasn't the same as 2022 RX. And no V6, less actual switches and more $.
Is there a drive shaft on this car ? Won't this thing torque steer ?
Cost of new vehicles are insane nowadays. Crazy that people are financing for 7+ years!
good luck to those wanting one. These are going to be near impossible to find for a while.
Sofyan, how tall are you? I would like to use your height as reference. Thank you
Super review thank you 😊
I wonder if the red interior color will age well in 10-15 years
My 2013 GS f sport has red interior and over 220k on it and the leather looks fantastic! I’m sure this will hold up the same.
I wonder why they chose that battery solution over LiPo.
Any ambient lighting?
Yes to ambient lighting check check.
Great review as always! I am wondering if you experienced droning from the 4-cylinder engine as you did when driving the plug-in NX.
No plug in hybrid. So glad they didn't do that. I love that the performance version is a standard hybrid where we don't have to deal with home plugs or charging stations.
There is Plug-In Hybrid too.
@@pepe-r-ling exactly they don't need to make the 500 one too.
Is this the top mid sized luxury suv? Would be nice if a top 3 of each segment was done
does the rx500h also an EV only mode ?
Nope.
Did have Price yet?
62,750 after destination
I enjoy the quality that comes with Lexus but I definitely don't like the new grill with the line going across the hood. Also I agree they are behind in technology that they include in the cars compared to cars that are similar in price
Id like to see a comparison with the rx f sport and the genesis gv70.
The RX already lost badly to genesis 😂
This vehicle is about 10 inches longer than the GV70, this competes more with the GV80.
Great Review! Love love it.
The price is in the stratosphere, but I do like what they've done with this F-Sport overall. I just don't think many will find it worth that high price when stacked up against its peers. Also, I'm not feeling the 6-speed transmission, an odd choice for sure.
I Love you Sofyan.
Keep doing what you doing.
Your channel is the best.
does Lexus RX 450H+ engine is turbo?
No. The rx450h+ will 99% use the RAV4 primes powertrain
