Hi Alexander. That pasture becomes even more astonishing with each visit. Keep the mittens on and don't trim your finger nails, or your good fortune may end. Your Commodus is a RIC 243 and a sestertius with the same legends was also minted. Commodus was born a twin but his brother, a few minutes older, died aged four. He also had a younger brother who died young. It would have been an interesting scenario, if there had been three brothers for their father to choose from. The later situation with Caracalla and Geta didn't end well for the latter. and the earlier one with Titus and Domitian was somewhat fraught. Those hammered coins are also amazing. The horses seem to be substitutes for the good luck that Tasci used to bring you.
Ha! Like a digital Samson!!!! 😁I had a thought maybe Marcus Aurelius named Commodus to avoid an inevitable civil war if he adopted a successor.... Anyway thank you for your thoughts and hope all well down there!!! All the Best John and nice to hear from you!
@@HolzHammerSagas If you find something better than you have done in that field so far, is there any chance of a celebratory canter on one of the horses? It is generally fine here at the present time but we could do with some rain. Unfortunately, the long term forecast is for a drier than average autumn, after last autumn being above average. The farmers never seem to be really happy whatever the weather does. Take care and give Tasci another cameo in your next video.
Thanks for the effort to make these videos - it is always a joy to see the English countryside and your amazing finds. Sorry if I repeat myself but - the condition of the artefacts! It makes such a difference. If I recall correctly, that first buckle with the spurs is from the period of William III.
You do really find the most wonderful objects. Thanks for the English lesson. Important to speak correctly. My big hang up is “plane” when people mean “aircraft”. Any way keep the luck running. Cheers.
Yes, preserve grammar whenever possible. Beautiful Roman coin. Just returned from Kings Lynn and found a few bits, but the wind was blowing something fierce, just like yours.

Bobby please watch the last video bar - one I spend a lot of time at HQ talking about the importance of digging iffy signals... my beef, and i stand by it, is that i don't often dig the "same" signal (with the deus "LITE" audio only) if it sounds exactly the same as endless things I don't want to be digging (mainly cartridges and riflle shells} - 10 years or so only using my ears and NEVER looking at a readout - I get it 95% right and I don't care about that 5% I may be missing if it saves me an hour or two of annoyance at the end of the day! All the Best, Alexander

Have watched all your videos of you using the Deus lite,I am impressed how much it finds, would you recommend it even though you are using the Deus 2 now?
The Deus Lite is a brilliant machine I and honestly don't think there is much difference on arable land in fact the deus lite is a far more subtle machine all round - for a few extra £££ though the Deus 2 Lite might now be a better option as there will be upgrades etc. Not so with the original I fear.. Thanks CC much appreciated and hope all well - All the Best, Alexander
Hi Alexander, very much enjoying the channel. Would it be possible to give details of the desktop magnifier you use in HQ. I’m looking to get one and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Baggy all the stuff I use is in the description of the videos and if you use the link then i get looked after by about 25p too - not much but it all helps! Thanks for watching and All the Best, Alexander
Brilliant 💯
Thanks as always Kaare!
Hope that helps!
What did they use to cut those coins?
Im not sure William its a good question... I think a set of specialised scissors of sorts...
thanks again bud n1
