🪧 Here are 4 Free Tools to Improve Your Presentations: SlidesCarnival, ColorHunt, Unsplash, and Flaticons. You're welcome 😉
Websites like Slides Carnival, Google Slides Template Gallery, and SlidesGo have beautiful Google Slide Themes and PowerPoint templates that you can download and use immediately
Then, you can use online color palette tools like ColorHunt and ColorSpace to come up with a color scheme and truly make the template your own by giving it a bit more personality
To help convey your message a bit better, use stock photo websites like Unsplash, Pexels, and Pixaybay to find royalty-free images, illustrations, vector graphics, and even music you can use with your PowerPoint or Google Slide presentations
Last but not least, stop using the stock icons that come with PowerPoint and Google Slides and instead use the beautifully designed icons over at Flaticons or TheNounProject
Let me know how your next presentation goes! 😁

Really enjoyable and useful. Please continue such type of videos.

I'm using some for school, but because you explained it well not to mention how you deliver it, its enjoyable to watched, thanks for this Mr. Jeff.

“Think outside the box” is like an early birthday gift I never knew I needed 😂
Happy (early) birthday!
Hiii
Slidesgo made college presentations look half decent for me. Gotta love it
Oh really? Nice!! I wish I came across SlidesGo (and alternatives) earlier on...I honestly had NO idea they existed when I was in college!
Instead of switching out each individual color for the shapes and highlights throughout the slide template, it is much quicker to swap them all at once by going to the slide menu at the top > edit theme > colors, and then swapping out the colors in the drop down with the custom color you have selected.
This will only work for slide templates that have used theme colors, but it can be very useful if they have.
Oh wow this is an EXCELLENT catch! Thank you my friend!! 😁😁
Up
The best tips are always in the comments! ;)
Loving this "Think Outside the Box" concept
This episode provides a complete toolkit one needs prior to making a presentation
Thank you so much Jeff for sharing these magnificent tools. Your effort is commendable
Looking forward to the next episodes in this series
Hi Wasib, thanks so much for your kind comment!! Gives me confidence that this series will provide value to people such as yourself 😁. I have 3 more episodes lined up already!
@@JeffSu Thanks a lot, Jeff. Best wishes🙌
Hi Jeff, I just started working on a Digital Marketing Agency one month ago and your videos were and are an invaluable help to me. I just wanted to thank you, the fact that you upload such quality content and offer free tools is absolutely amazing. 10000000000000 Thanks and Thumbs up!
Wooooohooooooo that's what I LOVE to hear! Hope you're enjoying your new role!
While watching this video, my dad took a peek, watched some videos then he just advised me the best thing...
"Just be like this guy, follow his advice and stay organised like him".
If you were in front of my dad today, he would have given you a tight hug. He just loves disciplined and organised persons.
Hahahaha it sounds like all 3 of us would get along Sachin 😁
Actualy happy to see this. Back in my old school we did presentations basically every week. Now in my new school, we do it once a quarter. I have a huge advantage as I was aware of slidescarnival and unspash quite early. This video helped me find new sites and how I am able to live up to my perfectionist philosophy
Awesome! So you're basically ahead of everyone 😁
to think that I'm actually doing some presentation for our class and also, every time you promote/discuss each site, I literally save them in mag bookmarks. thank you so much for telling to us!!!
Awesome! Best of luck with the presentation Clarisse!
I would like to see a new updated video on the same topics; this one was really helpful.
Will do!
This video helped me so much. I'm part of an NGO, and I do a lot of slides for my presentation in a weekly basis. This video actually helped me to enhance my work and give me more options rather than just using google slide or canvas. Thank you for sharing. Subbed!
That's awesome!! Welcome Jerry 😁
your videos are insanely helpful! every time i watch i’m just blown away by how organized & smart all of your videos & tips are!! please never stop, & i would absolutely like more outside the box tips!!
Thank you so much for the kind words Luna! Will do 😁
Very useful! I am a business owner for private practice and I do give some presentation and write blogs so I love these tips for my business! Yes definitely more "think outside the box" context would be great!
Glad to hear it Lea!! Thank you!
Amazing. Love the “smaller” but high result tips and tricks. Thanks!
Glad to hear it Roy, thank you!!
Jeff I didn't leave you! I use your video's as my own guru for productivity and all things google docs. Your the very few people that I like your video before I even watch it. THANK YOU for being consistent and relevant!
Woohoooooo thank you Robert, amazing to hear 😁
i liked this episode actually a lot. Keep up the great work Jeff!
Will do 😁
You are of great inspiration and your content is fantastic. The work is very minimal and accurate, just the way I like it. Keep it up Jeff!
Happy to hear that Lorenzo!! 😁 Thank you
Loving this concept! Keep it going. PS Your videos are always straightforward and provide value, so thank you so much Jeff. :)
I love to hear that Jorge, thank you 😁😁
Dude you just condensed decades into minutes !.... More power to you and your contagious smile brother ! :)
Glad to hear it my friend! And thank you!! 😁
I love this series of workplace hacks! The creating your own colour palette hack is sooooo useful!
Thank you Jerry! Make sure to check out episode 2 :)
I would LOVE to see more stuff like this ! It’s so helpful for work and school
Glad to hear it Ryan! Yes for sure 😁
Thanks for sharing all those tips and ressources, Jeff. I’m always on the hunt for new ways to improve my presentations so this video was really useful! Looking forward to the next videos - already a great series :)
Thank you so much Caroline! I have 3 more episodes lined up, so I'm definitely happy to hear these are useful 😁😁
Jeff, I've been watching your videos all day! You know so much. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I learn from people who know much much more! Glad I was able to help 😁😁
I found emoticon randomly while making a presentation and it was like heaven and almost too good to be true
Nice!!
As a fresher “Think outside the box” is what I am in need right now or might need in the near future. Love this concept. 😄 I Hope for more videos of the same kind Jeff Su
Thanks for letting me know Kalai! Loving the RUclips icon you included 😁😁
This is fantastic, and I'd love to see you make more videos using the non-traditional methods you talked about.
Thank you Christopher! That's really great for me to hear, will do!
@@JeffSu I also would love to make those videos
@@rudrajaiswara9851 Thanks for the feedback, will do!
@@JeffSu welcome
loving the think outside the box concept - keep them coming, I'm picking up so much thats going to help me!
Glad to hear it Nurudin! Thank you 😁😁
This is very useful, keep going Jeff, love this new series outside the box. All the notes in the description saved me a lot of time too.. Thanks!!
Glad to hear it Fernando!! 😁
Every time I have to do a presentation I use: Slidesgo (I LOVE IT), Flaticon (Can't live without it), and DaFont. I prefer icons to images since they seem more clean and aesthetic. I actually love to make presentations, so I always volunteer to make them (and I also don't trust anyone else).
Nice! I haven't heard of DaFont before and will definitely check it out 😁
Please help me make one
Loved this series, excited to see whats next to come!
Thank you!! I have 3 more episodes lined up so stay tuned!!
This video has helped me to create themes for my Power BI presentations by selecting pallets here, I love it
That's awesome!!!
I have neem using all of these tools myslef for quite a while now, but i am surpirsed to see a video on it. Amazing video man really appreciated your approach on thinking outside the box.
Thanks so much for your kind words even though you knew a lot of these tips and tricks already!
Considering how I have a presentation next Tuesday, this is very timely :3 Thanks, Jeff! And I’d love to hear more work hacks! 😆
Question for you though, what do you think is a good balance between text and graphs? I’ve witness plenty of presentations where people just read off their slides but I’m not sure my almost all-graphs powerpoints are exactly ideal either 😅 any thoughts?
Best of luck in your presentation Andrea! You're going to kill it 😁
I always lean towards less text (just memorize what you're going to say) because I'm a firm believer of show > tell.
You just need to make sure you have just enough text to give context (meaningful title, accurately labled axies etc.)
Haha thanks for believing in me! xD
Hmm, good point 🤔 I’ll have to go over it again to make sure there’s enough context for the viewers. I guess having too many graphs on one slide can be kinda overwhelming for them too 😅 Thanks Jeff!
Very useful
Thank you so much Paddy 🙌🙌
Jeff, I appreciate it.
Your videos are both informative and entertaining, plus they are short and sweet.
Keep up the excellent job!
Man that's the best 4 adjectives I could have asked for! Thank you Divyansh!
I'm loving the information but also the enthusiasm and approachability!
Thank you Curt! Glad you're finding me well-rounded 😂
Very useful video!
As feedback, for future videos I’d like to see your (presumed final) slide where you’ve actually given attribution. This is both as examples for us to use as well as well as leading by example by putting the attribution on-screen in your valuable video real estate. For anyone who has ever created Creative Commons licence content, it is super important that discussing attribution isn’t just words.
Thanks a ton for the resource suggestions!
Thanks for the feedback McKay! Just to confirm, do you mean showing you all how the final product looks like, in particular the last slide with all the attribution and links?
@@JeffSu Yes, I was hoping to see that last slide with all the attribution, basically showing us that the attribution talked about does get done, and as a template for how to do it in a nice way. Thanks a lot! Great videos!
I just found this channel, and your content is great! I’ve hit a roadblock at work so am looking to start refreshing what I do. The way you present also makes me so excited to do another PowerPoint presentation (unheard of?)
Woohooo best of luck with your next presentation! 😁
I agreeeee! So fantastic way you talk, joke & present 🙃 And of course there are so useful materials! I am going to check almost all videos)))
This bu gar has been WAY more on my projects than anything I could learn in school. Please keep this series up. 👍🏽
Will do!! 😁😁
This has been* typo sorry 😞
@@vbrekk No problem, I understood! haha
Jeff, this is so fuckin good. For me, your channel slogan is:
"Jeff Su, Never fail to impress you!"
Wooohoo that's what I love to hear! 😁
Those transitions effects for the sections are so clean Jeff! How can I copy you? 🤓
Wait which transition effects? Do you mean the glitch transitions when I go from my talking head to the screen capture?
@@JeffSu Sorry for communicating badly! I meant the transitions between the chapters you created like 0:53 "Use Existing Templates" 2:11 "Unique Color Theme" - They are super smooth. Did you buy them or created them yourself? 😉
@@mimuqod Ohhhhh gotcha. So Ali Abdaal used them and my friend created them for me 😂
@@JeffSu Alright! Thanks Jeff :D
Hello Jeff. Thank you very much for this video. With no doubt, one of the most useful you ever made. Many ideas to take...
Nonetheless, during the pandemic crisis, I noticed that videoconference-based presentations have to remain very simple due to low bandwidth. Since then, I have simplified my slides a lot ! Cheers. François
Hi François, thank you so much for that feedback, I'm extremely glad you found this one useful!
Haha yes, too fancy (or too many pictures) will definitely at times cause issues, so it's a balance for sure. 😁
Jeff you are awesome. You are not only so good in new technology but you r also humorous.
Hahaha glad to hear it !
Dude!!! This is my second RUclips comment ever, and you have earned it. DEFINITELY keep them coming. Awesome stuff.
