I sold my 17 Dyna WG and bought a 22 FB. I’m glad I did. There are also floor board extensions you can get that make the ride even better if you are taller. I have a smile on my face every time I ride the FB.

I own this bike, the 2018 version and I love it. The one big thing about this bike and handling that people don't get is that it DOES NOT like counter-leaners. I loves it when you give it some motoGP body position. Lean over that tank before dipping into a turn, and it glides right in. But if you try to counter-lean like a lot of harley riders do, the bike will fight your countersteering. Yall can see me riding my Fat Boy hard in the twisties, I posted a video of it.
@@sherribrown4854 As long as you don't counterlean it, it should handle ok. Over the tank to the inside a little bit will help it tip in to a turn easier though.
Great review! Forget the spec, forget the numbers, you can find all that online... tell them how the bike 'feels'! Tell them how it makes you feel? That bike has character and a personality all it's own and that came across loud and clear. Great review, well done! 😁
I'm 47 and a new rider. I took the HD course at raging bull in Durham, I still need to get the written test done. But my question is, what would say is a good starter? I really like the fat boy and fat bob.
I’d say the bike you like the most is the best starter bike. The more you like the bike the more you’ll ride it and the better you’ll become at riding. Durham isn’t that far from Concord. Swing by Speedway and check out some bikes. It’s a huge inventory on the floor right now. Don’t let anyone tell you the best option. But between those two the Fat Bob will be easier to ride.
@InfinitRyda2o Thanks, Ryda, I just took the written test today and passed, and now I'm licensed to ride. I work in Dalls, NC. I will stop by sometime next week. I'm in Dallas Monday - Friday. Hope to see you there.
Thanks for this awsome ride and review I was a little reserved about the wide back tire but you put that to rest. I put a deposit on an anniversary edition
Never rode a Harley before and never really considered one either. But, today went to a dealer just to see what all the fuss is about? Had a good look around and was surprised to see so much stuff in there. Put my leg over Road Glide and Heritage, and then sat on the Fat Boy. I didn't want to get off. With those beach bars, just a perfect fit along with my seat and foot boards. Beautiful bike. The look the finish was craftsmanship. I guess now I know why so many people love there Harleys. I want one! It's not cheap but you can see the quality, worth going that bit extra. Booking test ride.
Thanks for the video and review, I own a 21 and I follow in love when I seen setting in the dealership is also mi first bike I have 0 experience driving street bike, I was not too hard the learning to drive but was a very satisfactory experience and I loved, now is weekends get away
Good video and review! Thats the bike im thinking of getting is the Fatboy. I like to hear when i watch reviews about its leaning. Made me laugh when you said bird shit hitting the mouth.😂
I own a new one, I love all but 3 things. 1 the factory license plate bracket is a huge pain in the ass. 2 It is the hardest bike to make high speed corners with that I have ever ridden. 3, the exhaust sounds like it should be on a 650 Honda
I own an 03 sportster just test rode a 2021 fatboy feel smooth like Cadillac the leaning gotta get used 2 most comfortable ryde position im wanting step up
It depends on your comfort but it’s not your typical bike. Leaning it takes skill and comfort and it has more power than some of the smaller bikes. But I’m a strong believer in get what you like because the more you like it the more determined you’d be to ride it.
I’m confused between the fatboy and the breakout. Nobody has been able to provide clear answers. Which one of the two is better for highway riding? Touring bikes like road and street glide are too heavy for me personally. Any help, community?
i love the color and the Fatboy style , but i feel the Road King is more suited for what i want. friends of mine that have been riding for years say once you ride with a windscreen you will always want it. i also love the FXRT fairing which i can get for the Road King, its about $1600 or $1800 so not cheap but i could always get it later and just use a regular windscreen to start. though i may just get a ADV bike instead. i been thinking of a Sportster off and on just because of its reliable engine, huge amount of parts, and low cost. at 6'2 230 lbs not sure it would fit me very well. and i want cruise control really bad. ya there are throttle locks but they just not the same to me. i hate over thinking lol. good vid
Also I love that color blue that color blue fish to the tee and also love the color red either color red blue gray those will be my three choices when it comes to the Fatboy🚨💟💕💕💟💕🚨😳😳😳😳😳💎
Well ok. Not sure what that means but glad you like the taste. I’ll try to drop more shot from above just for you. Be sure to look up keep you mouth wide open. Lol. Appreciate the love. 🫶
JUST PURCHASED A 2023 BLUE FATBOY PUT ON LED LIGHTS FOR UNDER CARRIAGE

But... If just counter steering (not counter leaning) how does it handle?

That anniversary one is nice.
What a great review! It answered all of the questions I had about the H-D Fat Boy 114. I'm ready to buy one!
Glad it helped

I test rode one before, and loved it. It was the 107, but then I saw and test rode the 2014 night rod, and it was a wrap. Had to have it. Peace Ryda.

3 valid points. Lol. The Corning gets better the more you don’t care and just through that thing.
I find the cornering OK if you really turn your head and look where you go .
I just picked up a 2023 vivid black fat boy last month and I Love it also 👍😁
Nice
We rode the Fat Boy Saturday at Demo Days. Great looking bike.

Sweet! Much love to the Fatboy!
Absolutely Great video💪🏻👍🏻
Appreciate it
My friend just bought a new fat boy. Beautiful bike.
Would you recommend the fat boy as a first time bike

Can put a windshield on the fatboy
Would the Fat Boy be a good option for a brand new rider?
It depends. It rides very different. Leaning it is a challenge for some.
I have a 97 fatboy. It’s amazing. One day i will buy a new one.
Did that year still have the 240 tire?
@@theinfinitryda
No. Far from it. It’s a skinny tire compared to 240. But it’s like an old hot rod. Carburetor and all.
Fatboy will be my very first Harley-Davidson bike I'm truly hoping to get one in the future I wish you didn't come sooner hopefully within the year
Confused a little here but 👍🏼
I have a 2021 fat boy and I love it, I transform into a Terminator
Nice. Wish I could see it
😅 I ask you in another video to make this video 😂😂😂 thanks a found it 🙏
You’re welcome
I have always wanted to have a fat boy. I have a sportster and she is my baby, but I have always felt that the fat boy is the Harley to get.
👏👏 thanks
👍🏼
Can you ride this if you have 162cm height
At 5’3” you may not be able to flat foot it. But you can flamingo it but the weight makes it hard to flamingo.
I must admit ,obviously at 5.8" it's fine for me .But I would nor like it if I could not flat foot it .Too much weight otherwise.
How tall are you?
6 Feet
So Hard Cider Beer For the Love of the fat boy I hope I can work out a good deal at a dealership🚀🚀🚀🚀✌✌✌
