  • This Bible study devotional covers Psalm 40. In this psalm, David describes his past disobedience as being stuck in a slimy pit, and God’s salvation like being lifted up and given firm footing.
As always, we are committed to showing you how to see the good news of the Gospel in every passage of Scripture. In Psalm 40 we see that Jesus comes to open our ears, open our eyes, transform our hearts, and bless those who trust him.

Lord almighty, I do not want to backslide, but I want to move forward! My job and career count as well Lord and I pray you will not allow any attack on my health or career anymore, since I am praying for quality of life. Set me free God, now! In accordance with psalm 40, john 10:10 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

I have a question if anyone can please answer, I'm a fairly new Christian, I have a KJV Bible and I'm having a hard time understanding, is there a bible that I can trust (there's so many) that I can read and understand? I'm from the USA

You can go for ESV. it is a nice translation you can easily understand. BTW don't depend on only one version. Keep checking other versions while Bible study. You can use blue letter Bible or biblehub websites for parallel reading. You can download e-sword software if you have a PC.
May God guide you brother. Blessings.

The NLT makes for easier reading, but must be matched and compared to the ESV or the NASB. God bless and may His Holy Spirit teach you. 🙏🏻

Everyone is different. I like NKJV, and if i need to understand better I use NIV and ESV.

@@tessah.7641 I understand a person’s main preference of the Bible being the KJV. But I have seen insane comments from a few people saying that a person would go to Hell if they didn’t read the KJV.
