      @Fitandover40 4 года назад +4

      And like that mistake, many many others can be found in these videos, that is not to say they are wrong but a reminder for the men making them, to not fall for believing they know "everything" about the Scriptures. Remember the advise the Lord has given in the Bible AND in the Qur'an. In the Bible:"do not be like those who pray in the synagogues and on the street corners, for they have received their reward in full"; and in the Qur'an: "do not rush to recite the Qur'an before the revelation is fully complete but say 'Lord increase my knowledge'". That also means that those who rush to speak or "teach" have received ALL that they will receive but not ALL THERE IS to receive.

    I’ve always been a Christian, but have never truly read the Bible. I, personally, reject the idea of organized religion so I haven’t been a member of any denomination. I encouraged my children to find their own path, their own understanding and their own relationship with God. Recently, my 15yo has challenged me to look into a book a day. I’ve watched your Matthew, Mark and know Psalms videos. Thank you for putting these together and helping to educate and spread the word of God. ❤️

    • @Rotisiv
      @Rotisiv 3 года назад +5

      @@IAMDC322 let me educate you my dear friend: Yah or Jah is the short form of the Hebrew: “יהוה”which translates as the tetragrammaton or the divine name of God: YHWH (which doesn’t have a certain pronunciation of it although scholars use יַהְוֶה/Yahweh as the closest pronunciation to what it might have sounded like and also based on the multiple theophoric names that ancient jews frequently named their kids with). As for baal or baʽal well let me tell my dear friend it is NOT a proper name of a one pagan deity, it’s a semitic noun which literally means “lord” or “owner” and it was used by canaanites when referring to all of their gods in general although it must be noted, that despite the fluidity of the term it was used eventually attached to their false god of fertility and storms which in the bible, the Prophet Elijah scorned the canaanites for worshipping. So in conclusion no yah doesn’t mean or even equate with baal and the True Living God of the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) doesn’t have ANYTHING to do with the false and lifeless heathen “deities” of pagans.

    May I mention that the book of Psalms is the most quoted book in the New Testament. Another interesting fact about the psalms are number 113 to 118 wich where sung (as a tradition) at Jesus´ ¨last super¨ with his disciples. (Matthew 26:30) So reading these psalms let us know what Jesus sang right before he was arrested and sentenced to death by crucifixion.

    This series has made me want to be reborn and grow up as a little Jewish boy, learning these books in Hebrew and singing this song of the alphabet and learning these lessons of "our" history (the Jewish history) and seeing all of Scripture in a new, deeper light.

      hi, i’m not Jewish and i’m really curious about this and confused (sorry, bare with me). so, Jewish reads the book of psalms? then what about Torah? who reads it? is it also Jewish? or like Jewish divided into 2? what about Tanakh?
      also if you knew, what is the Old and New Testament? is it somehow related to Psalms and Torah, or is it more related to the Bible?

    It is by God's grace that I am still going through the Bible with the Bible Recap and about to start Psalms tmrrw and also His perfect timing bc I couldn't have needed it, the biggest book in the Bible about prayer, more right now. I mean, when do we not need more prayer in our lives but this time the Holy Spirit is opening my eyes to just how desperately I need to pray and to desire to bring more of my burdens to Him, the only One who can provide what I truly need in a way that I do not lose hope or joy.

    The messianic King was Jesus defeating the evil of Sin. Building up the kingdom of God. Abrahams promise from God to establish his kingdom throughout the world, that's expanding to the Gentiles, not just the Jews. About 33% of the world are Christian and give Gods kingdom, making it the most popular religion across the world. Thus fulfilling the part 1 promise of Abraham

The first/basic one that comes up, the Bible Project Poster Collection Book, is humongous, btw, and each poster is perforated for clean removal. Hope that helps!

    New Bible reader and believer here. I am so very appreciative of your videos! Quick, yet in such depth and informative. Either before I read, or after, I watch whichever book I’m at to either get a brief overview of what I will read or as a refresher at the end of what I read. So helpful to me! I love seeing what I read correctly or getting alittle more insight on something I did not understand well. Bless you for being such a great resource! This video I definitely felt the urge to comment and let you know!
