Whow, just saw the video about SZ and 410 LST and asked for comparison with TM and Callaway and there it is. You guys are great and rock. The best golf channel there is.
Two videos in a day, nice! After watching your videos, ended up getting a couple of Ping G400 LSTs and they aren’t coming out of the bag or backup bag! Keep up the great work and enjoy the Show!
Another great video! Had a fitting from a Callaway rep this past weekend. Currently game a Flash SZ a(that I was fit for 1 year ago) and was hitting it well during the fitting as a baseline. My club pro was with me and his first comment was "we won't get better than that. Tried the Mavrik Standard, SZ and Max. Three different shafts - Ventus Red, Blue and Atmos Tour Spec Blue were tried. The winner was the Max with the Tour Spec Blue. Gained 10 mph ball speed and 15 yards. Fitting is a must. When we finished my club pro's comment was - "It's a no brainer- get the Mavrik." I have to say it surprised me as I didn't expect any gains or a minimal gain at best.
I tend to swear at my driver much more than you do, I also need to hit it twice to make it go over 300 yards 😄. Enjoying the honesty of the Chanel, keep it coming👍
I would like to see you revisit the original M2(2016) driver and see if it holds up to the current drivers on the market. I think the Taylormade M2 was amazing.
And now Ian says "this is the best year ever for drivers" ... phew ... lucky me buying drivers last year hahaha. I love my Ping LST and I love my Mizuno 190. My brilliant Epic Subzero is in a spare bag. My previous Szrixon 765 is a driver with a shaft for a windy day or when ground is firm to let the ball roll. A driver for Scotland visits (only 2 h to Edinburgh). Thanks TXG ... all hidden away from my wife's knowledge!
Hit the nail on the head! I tested out the maverick last week as was AMAZED by its consistency of spin, launch conditions and distance and dispersion. I am an average 11hcp player (but a decent driver) and this club tightened up all my numbers massively! No huge gains, but just eliminated almost all drop offs. I was very impressed!
I've watched a lot of these vids and this is the first time I've seen Matt hit a driver outside. Dude rips it!!! Those indoor numbers don't lie. So inspirational!
I've seen drivers that can outdrive the ping by 5 or so yards. But nothing has come close to it (for me) in terms of consistency. I don't seem to get that low knuckleball I sometimes get with my TM driver when I hit it out of the toe. 6 yards shorter drives will make zero difference in my score. But one or two low hooks can turn a 75 into an 82
Story time.. i switched from my old TM RBZ into the Ping G410 LST. The Ping literally goes MUCH further, and is MUCH more forgiving, even though it's a low spin driver. It also spins less and doesnt balloon if i forgot to mention that. I'm not exaggerating
I was fortunate enough to get fit for sim at the kingdom this past week. I’m a really negative AOA player who launches it low and spins it high. After my fit I went from 4 degrees launch with 4K spin with my Srixon driver to 9 launch 2500-2800 spin with the SIM driver and an increase of 20 yards. That head was almost taylormade for me pun intended.
Makes me thrilled with my Cobra SZ purchase. I love the low spinning 2020 model Rogue shaft is, but adds JUST ENOUGh backspin for a high straight flight. Granted I hit driver extremely high and straight to begin with, but I've easily added 10 yards from my M2
@@pipebliss true on off center hits it had drop offs but center strikes it was a beast...294 average carry for me... My m3 is 288 average carry, I stayed with m3 but f9 was still a fantastic driver.. New face on the SZ should create more consistent speeds across the face...g410 is still the best driver on the market imo just waiting on those eBay prices to drop lol
@@plus2golfer12 For me, it's all about off center strikes. With any driver, if I rip it out of the middle I'm long enough, 275-290; it's the off center strikes where F9 suffered, I saw 20-25 yard drop offs. I ended up getting fitted for the Epic Flash SZ which is a beast and beat the G410 for my swing. I love what the manufacturers are doing this year but improving speed across the face; for the average guy, off center hits are a thing :)
@@pipebliss yeah I didn't see drop offs that big... More around the 7-10 yard mark for me but I don't really get alot that are drastically off center and I've got enough swing speed (117) to kinda fight the big drop offs

Great video! Would've liked seeing you leverage the adjustable loft to get similar launch angles, so you're actually comparing apples to apples. Then you can also give us feedback on which brands are giving you vanity lofts.
Small margins, eh? As an aside, I’d love to see an in-depth video from TXG about the effect of shorter and longer shaft length in driver on distance and strike. We all wear different length trousers, so intrigued about why we generally use the same length driver... 👍🏻
Loft up and he would be fine. Proved that while hitting these at the kingdom. Maintained launch but increased spin. Even moving to the MAX would be a better comparison.
@@jayfangRSA I've been saying this for a minute Regular SIM is going to sell but will be a dud in the long haul. You will see tons on Ebay by April/May. It's too shallow, too low launch, & too low spin. A hard to hit driver.....

I was fit last year for the Cobra (TXG of Course). Love it however it is not as stable as I would have liked. If I were to upgrade to the new Cobra would my settings, shaft etc still be the same? Would another fitting be in order?
i had exact same results with f9 as you. i think the speedzone might be the most stable head ive tested this year accross the face to be honest. i have about 200 hits into mine. its about 300 less spin than f9 for me down to 2600 from 2900. my ping lst 400 was about 2750 for a comparison...so same shaft better numbers...
@@clubchampionmedia Interesting, I thought Tensei White was fairly tip-heavy and Orange was the counterbalancing option for lighter swing weight. Did you measure the swing weights with White vs Ventus? If so, what were they?

What lofts were you hitting these drivers at? I have found the sim to be very low spinning.
Is there a fitter you would recommend in the UK with similar standards to you guys? if there are any? cheers
So is it safe to say that the SIM may be a good option for those of us with a driver swing that doesn't have an ideal AoA?
Depending on delivered loft, but likely yes
What loft are the drivers? Looks like SIM in a 10.5 would be the ticket
What shaft is Cobra offering with the new SZ Drivers?
Why You don’t add TS3
SIM 8 degree on order, will be refreshing not to set on "lower" before even hitting a shot!
Do you think it is lower spinning than the TS4? I think I will want the TS4 since it just kills my spin, but I am afraid it is too unforgiving. I prolly need too test the sim.
Money to burn.
What happened to shots 9, 10, 11? Did it take him a bit to get a feel for the SIM??
Yes, couple adjustment shots needed there. A lot lower spinning head
