- Recently at a Sleep Token show in Australia, a fan ripped a fart so loud that the whole crowd heard it... Once again proving that no matter the situation, farts are funny.
And there's a little but of live audio education in here too, but who cares...

I've heard from many people who claimed to be at the show that said that the fart in question was faked, and done by someone in the audience just trying to ruin the moment. Unfortunate news, but...

It isnt really that loud, you have to really *listen* to hear it on that recording. I've seen microphone stands that act *possessed* and keep *jumping* into the crowd but not anyone ever fart.
Perfect timing during a really quiet part , it really was masterful timing on this concertgoers behalf!

It's funny how we are all supposed to be full grown, mature adults. But the moment someone rips a fart, the whole crowd suddenly becomes Beavis and Butthead.

I think if it was louder I'd be giggling but it was probably funnier at the concert, because it would have been clearer to hear.
This happened to me at a movie. Best friend thought he'd sneak a rancid fart out during an action scene and all of a sudden the movie went dead silent right as he unleashed one of the loudest, bass driving farts I've ever heard in my life. Good times.
Reminds me of the time my stomach auto released a mad rager that echoed throughout the entire classroom in the middle of a history test in the 4th grade. We had to continue the test the next day because it took a while for everyone to compose themselves.

Reminds me of a time in high school when I tried to let out a silent fart in the back of class… the fart reverberated off the plastic seat and mid lecture and everyone was laughing so hard even the teacher had to go sit down and take a breather. I tried to cover it with a cough but there was no hiding it 🤣

I remember doing a fart sound with my mouth in the haunted mansion at Disneyland. Waited for the quiet moment in the elevator stretching room when the guy shows himself hanging from the ceiling. It goes perfectly quiet for a couple seconds and because it was supposed to be scary right before the entire room busted out laughing

Monitor engineer here - I usually put crowd mics on a vca or control group (single fader that can control the crowd mics in everyone's mix at the same time) and those crowd mics are only up in between songs, or if the primary artist interacts with the crowd. Crowd mics in a mix for the whole show can really muddy things up.
I had a ticket to the fart show in Sydney but couldn't make it and gave it to a random lady in the facebook event who missed out on tickets.
I'll regret not witnessing the fart for the rest of my life.
But what if the person who farted is that random lady? You may have helped a legendary moment happen and not even know it

This reminds me of a time during training when I worked in pharmaceutical mfg and this guy had to fart really bad so this girl next to him told him she was going to slam drop her training module on the floor and for him to fart during that. Well their timing didn’t line up and he farted right after the module hit the floor when all was quiet due to everyone looking over from the first loud sound🤣

Had a similar situation at the Spiderweb Gate Crystal Cave in Sequoia National Park in California. There was a guided tour through these caverns and they get you in this one large cavern and tell everyone to turn off their lights so they can experience how dark it is in the cave. Everyone was supposed to be quite so we could hear the bats and dripping water and everything else. Well, during that silence there was a lady beside me that ripped one and everyone in the cavern started awkwardly laughing about it. Was pretty funny at the time.
The fact that you know that the fart is coming just makes it even more hilarious for me --even on repeated listens LOL
Also, I find it even funnier that the timing punctuated the end of the line that Vessel was singing. Crying with laughter at work right now, probably look like a lunatic, but it was worth it. 😂😂

This popped up in my feed out of absolutely nowhere, and the entire scenario is just so bizarre I can't stop laughing. I think Vessel must've heard it considering the slight tone of hesitation in his voice at the start of the next line.
My personal fear is sneezing or coughing during a quiet part in a song but at least this made me feel a bit less worried. Concerts truly are a wonder since you don't know what the hell will happen.

When it comes to farts, I will always behave/react like a child. I'm sorry, but farts will always be funny. And if I'm in a situation where everything is very serious & the more it is unacceptable to laugh, the harder I will laugh, like to the point tears are streaming down my face.

I did that in the movie theater. One of the Hobbit movies during a really quiet scene. It had to come out and I thought it would be slow and silent. It was long and loud. Everyone in the theater was laughing, but luckily they didn't know it was me.

That fan had an 8 mile moment right there! The timing, the precision, location...I mean most people now are probably really envious of this concertgoer. This person knew that all the stars were aligned perfectly and stole the show. It just shows that with hard work and determination (and some planning) you can stand out from the crowd and have a big impact!!! That really was epic. I think the fans and the band will never forget that moment! I am still upset I wasn't in attendance but thankfully this moment was recorded and will live on forever!
