    Nice to know that you don't have to remove the screen in order to get to the battery. Each smartphone I own will last more than 5 years and while I can keep it pristine with the case and screen protector, replacing the battery is always a challenge since they stopped using the removable back cover. This phone almost has the removable back cover.

    This is just about the best easy to understand and follow up cell phone repair video that I have seen for a long time if ever .
    my Samsung Galaxy 20 battery overheated swelled up to the point where it push the cover off the back of the phone causing screen burn , I got a battery off eBay except for some reason it became finicky when it comes time to charge it , sometimes it will charge fast yet most of the time it will sit there for hours with minimum charge , I went through all the Hoops replacing cables& Chargers making sure the port is clean and none of that help , option A was to replace the battery a second time option B getting a new phone , I just cut my losses and get a new phone , it would have been a good idea if I have come across this RUclips channel prior to doing whatever I did to that phone .
    excellent job

    Hi there! Great educational video, and thanks for sharing! Being my 1st time disassembling a cell phone, I inadvertently removed the screen instead of the back cover. Now the screen doesn't seem to want to seal as well as it did. Should the screen just snap back in place, or is there more to it? My A13 got dropped in water for a few seconds, and now it keeps "overheating", and not sure if I need to clean any components with alcohol? Not seeing any water inside the unit.

    Hi mate, I'm wondering if you can help me? I performed a screen repair on my Samsung A13 and for some reason I could only hear on phone calls afterwards when the call was on loudspeaker which is not very convenient lol
    Now, yesterday I was on my way out and my phone slipped out of my pocket. Then I got in the taxi and the phone started to turn off and the Samsung logo was there it felt like for about 5 minutes. It switched from the logo to a blank screen to an update of some sort up until I got out and then after it wouldn't switch on at all.
    I started to open the phone up last night to see if anything was dislodged or anything but I'm certainly no expert in this area lol
    As I started to open it up with a stanley blade and prying tools it started to turn on and off again. thing connecting the screen to the back wasn't dislodged and that's the only thing I've checked as I have absolutely no idea what I'm looking at or what could be causing the issue. Any ideas? Any advice would be massively appreciated particularly as it's my only phone at the moment! Thanks.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  Год назад +1

      I'm honestly not sure it can be many things. From defective screen that is shorting the phone, to the main board not being placed correctly (for the contacts to touch the ear piece speaker contacts for signal) to loose cables or even physical damage to parts on the main board when taking it apart.

    So the problem I'm having with my phone is the distance I can move away from my phone while using my Bluetooth connection. My range on my logitech speaker is a really far range. Since I swapped frames after breaking my screen, my range is only like 5 feet then it disconnects or is choppy. What controls the Bluetooth function? Is it on a circuit board or is it controlled by the red and white wires?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  Год назад +1

      Yeah there is a Bluetooth chip on the board. You can always take apart the phone and make sure all the connections are good and put it back together to see if it helps.

    • @FullBarBosa
      @FullBarBosa Год назад

      @PBKreviews I figured out what was wrong. I've been waiting for my new battery to come in because my current battery is swelling and not maintaining battery life and shuts off. It doesn't help that I ordered the power flex of an A32 by accident which is shorter and I can't keep it on and close the phone. I had to put the protectors back on to seal it up and reconnect the red and white audio cables. Much better now. Thanks for the advice. I'm still going to reconnect everything when the battery comes in

      I have links in the description for different tool sets. You can use a pry pic which is listed in the description as well which is basically like a guitar pic, and start from where the sim slot area is since the plastic is thin in that area and easier to push the pry tool in between the back housing and frame of the screen to then run along the edges and pop off the catches.

      yeah, you can take the phone apart, disconnect the battery cable, dry out any liquid inside, use a small brush like a tooth brush to brush off any corrosion around chips or connectors, and then power on the phone to see if it will work. If not, you would need to diagnose to see which part has gone bad, between the screen, battery, charger port or motherboard. Hopefully not the motherboard since at that point your out of luck.
