This guide covers her new playstyles with dendro, value, explains her kit, artifacts, energy recharge, stats, weapons, DPS builds and Hyperblooms builds, Teams with Dendro and Furina, and lastly constellations. Shogun the only character I'd actually play that fishing game for and learn the fishing spots to get that pole arm. Wish i had her 5 star weapon instead.

No joke to anyone who doesn’t have raiden but she is possibly the best character I’ve pulled in genshin she hasn’t left my team since Liyue upon which I had to farm her materials in a friends world lol believe me she is literal god mode even if there aren’t constellations

shes very good yes, but for me she got boring and now i dont use her except as a hyperbloom trigger or sometimes in the abyss :/ (my opinion tho, doesn’t mean shes bad, shes very good)

Guys, 4.4 first phase is nahida and could retainer. You might want to skip raiden for Nahida if you dont have nahida yet. You can replace raiden with other characters like fischl or kuki in most cases to gain pretty much the same utility, but nahida is the best dendro applier in the entire game...

@@AH_125 Raiden is great, but nahida is just better. It is better to get a C0 Nahida than a C0 Raiden Shogun. At C0, Raiden can be best used as a battery or hyperbloom bot.
For the battery, a similar (or perhaps even better) alternative would be Fischl. Give Fischl a decent Golden Troupe artifact set, and the lvl 90 R5 slingshot (a 3 star weapon), and she will be able to battery your team while dealing significant off-field damage.
For hyperbloom, kuki would be a better alternative because her healing has EM scaling. Raiden is better than kuki for dendro only if you want to attack enemies at a distance (as in case of tighnari). For aggrevate you won't believe, but even Lisa is a great character for aggrevate (pretty much on par with Kequing).
Raiden is a great character, but at C0 the utilities provided by her could also be provided by other alternatives. She is a decent dps at C0, but so could be Fischl (while being off field), or Beidou. She becomes god tier at C2. So unless you are planning to go for C2, it is better to pull Nahida.
Nahida is pretty much irreplaceable in some teams. She decides the dendro damage of many dendro oriented teams. Even some of the best dendro teams of Raiden need Nahida.
If you are a new f2p who does not have Raiden or nahida yet, it is better to pull for nahida. Raiden will eventually get a rerun again (maybe by the end of the year), and until then you could very well use other electro characters for dendro related reactions. But nahida is very hard to replace.

After losing 50/50 to Dehya during Furina banner and knowing that Raiden will come next banner, I decided that I will get Furina on her rerun and get Raiden instead. I prefarmed her, even fished for R5 Catch, grinding her artifacts, and I'm sitting at 72 pity and guaranteed for her. Chevreuse and Sara are on her banner and I'm actually interested in running an Overload comp with Raiden, Chevreuse, Sara, and Xiangling.
After that I'll be saving for Furina on her rerun. I really want to get her on the first banner but I can wait until her rerun since it will be coming around 4.6 patch.
If you want R5 The Catch asap, then go into Co-op mode and try to join someone's world. I tried this without having done Co-op before and people were really friendly. I got to fish in their spots and got R5 within a few hours instead of 1-2 weeks.
The Catch got me to kinda like fishing in this game. It seemed shit to me as when I first tried it months ago I didn't know how things like bait worked and would get frustrated at the hardest fish to catch, not knowing that some are easier. Also make sure you get the Stabilizer ASAP! It will make fishing extremely easy after you've caught a few of the type you're farming and works in all regions.

I still think beidou should work with raiden
As beidou burst procs on ca and na **ATKS** and even though raiden burst dmg and na/ca/plunge is treated as **burst dmg** she is still doing na/ca atks
Na/ca damage is very different from na/ca attacks
Its just a foul way to nerf a possible synergy with my main beidou

The problem is with Beidou burst not Raiden burst. Beidou burst is what requires fixing. It triggers on normal attack damage type rather than actual normal or charge attacks. The description on her burst is just wrong.

This is one of the few weird problems with the game, they could easily clear up all these misunderstanding by clarifying skill descriptions, even if it takes a whole paragraph.

@@nikumilotic1333 Because the shields are being hit by normal damage type. It is not about doing any actual health damage. Raiden does burst damage type with her burst so it can not activate. Normally when you use normal attacks you do normal damage type but skills can do normal damage type too like Childe E skill.
Just got her! Im in love. She's so elegant and powerful. Ive been running furina, Charlotte, raiden and yelan. She' level 60 and already putting up big numbers. Cant wait to put together a hyperbloom team and test out chevreuse
Saved up 130 fates and finally got C0 Raiden and Her weapon. ❤
As a c0 day 1 raiden haver who's seen her roles change and develop over time, I'd argue that her greatest strength is not any one particular role, but her ability to perform all of those roles comfortably. As a hyperbloom trigger she is the best but there's no content that Raiden can clear that Kuki wouldn't be able to. Quicken/quickbloom works but you're probably better off with Cyno or Keqing for pure damage. She's obviously good in National but National is so strong that she's just one of many options that will perform well. She does pretty good damage (probably worse dps than Fischl in all honesty) but she needs very little setup to deal it and provides a ton of energy generation and a damage buff to your team while she's doing it. She's not so much better than any other unit that she's required and she's sometimes worse, but she comfortably fits in a lot of teams and provides a decent amount of value no matter the circumstance.
Raiden was made to pull. The moment you see her you must have her.
This was very helpful as I will be pulling for her rerun. I would get her c2 but I'm just gonna pull her and save for Nahida. Then I'll get c2 on her next rerun.

My Raiden is a Hybrid ER/EM.
Using a ER weapon and ER sands with a EM Goblet and Circlet.
My team is Raiden, Nahida, Jean and Furina and my Raiden is always on field using ber burst for hyperbloom, Energy and DPS.
With Nahidas burst on which is 100% of the time thanks to Raiden she has almost 1000 EM while still having 300% ER leading to massive hyperbloom and personal damage while Furina buffs Raiden, Nahida and her own damage.
Just got her after losing a 50/50 to dheya when banner came out, time to build her !!!!

Don’t listen to him u always want ER sand and atk goblet u need atleast 250%ER for her passiv and emblem set she has so much dmg bonus in her kit atk% has more value than elec goblet

Wish yoimiya was later as i also want to raise her too. Not that much agter getting yelan who is very broken and fixed my problem wirh national team of a range unit to deal with flying foes.
Raiden is the reason I haven't pulled for Yoimiya when she first released. Always ends up with banner close to Raiden for some reason. Good luck on your pulls!

Raidens burst counts as doing a normal attack but not as hitting with one
It doesn't set off beidou because beidous burst requires you deal NA damage but xingqiu, yelan, thoma, etc only care that you did the attack at all
Does the damage calcs account for skyward spines increased attack speed or does it not get you an extra hit?
guys raiden at c0 would run rational so xingling would do most dmg so build raiden with er sands and atk goblet and buld xingilng with no er and use the dragonspin and do the same for xinqiue and use lion's roore and the catch is better than the skyward spain cos the extra 4 cr and er
the same for the other two above dmg is not everything and maybe the catch is even better than the staff of homa because the cr and er the catch gives (only if you don't have enough energy) and about that 2nd weapon just don't ues it raiden doesn't need a shield she can't be knocked back anyway
and the skywar spain becomes better when your bennette doesn't give enough atk and because the E dmg is way higher than the catch and for the atk speed it gives
Looks good, my only issue with the teams is that I don't have Furina, Kazuha, Yelan, Yae Miko, or Kokomi
250 ER is ideal for her. 200-220 is a bit low...

In Raiden, Yelan, (c1) Furina, Jean, can Jean be replaced with Bennett? Or is the swirl too valuable?
If the swirl is too valuable, would it be ok to replace jean with (c1) Kazuha despite the lack of healing?

Jean provides full fanfare, and she can swirl electro and hydro
Kazuha can only swirl and buff whole team and group
Bennett can only heal and buff raiden so you won't get full fanfare

If you get her c2 then I'm pretty sure kazuha becomes better than jean and Bennet becomes more viable but your still need some form of healing

assuming you dont have both then its nahida.. she opens the door for dendro based teams one of them is hyperbloom.. high floor, fast and ez to build, perhaps fastest team to build to reach 90s abyss treshold, highly recommend for newer player
As a Raiden haver and Main. Nahida because she is the best dendro applier and but Raiden is just too good and satisfying to play but im biased so idk
I just got lucky today I did two one pulls and then 10 in total it only took me 12 pulls to get Raiden shogun and I also used 10 aqua those things to pull Jean Noelle

Here’s the summary from someone who has had c3 for like 2 years now. 4 piece emblem of severed fates er sands er weapon c2 if you spend money and build Sara.
I’m builindong her with golden troupe and have 3 five star polearms and 2 four star EM weapons waiting for her

I have a C2 Raiden on PJWS and whenever I run hyper with C6 Kujou, Benny, and Kazuha, I only ever do like 300k max. My raiden stats are good, but she's running an attack goblet instead of electro. I also just noticed KS is on a level 70 sac bow so leveling that up should give some extra damage. But I see others doing 400k plus even on the catch for C2 . Wonder what I'm doing wrong, idk if the small adjustments I can make will make up the gap I see from others. Kazu is on about 1000 EM and Benny is on level 12 talent with skyward blade, and KS is level 11 skill. Everyone is on their proper artifact sets (Noblesse, VV, and Emblem_)
Raiden has crowned burst, 2k attack, 65 CR 194 CD, and 235 ER.
Can anyone help me understand what I'm missing?
1. investment lv differences : benny, sara, kazu lv, talent lv, weap etc.. looks small but it adds up
2. artefacts optimization with weap.. perhaps you should try using genshin optimizer to address this but i believe electro goblet > atk for pjws

I’ve been researching everything Raiden, from what I’ve learned, Sara’s BiS is Skyward, if you have it, Electro Goblet and more ER% on Raiden ~ keep me updated, I plan to test it out when I get her as well
@@kitsune_kukanttv2574 just tested C2 PJWS Raiden with level 80 Sara on 11 talent and level 80 sac bow, 90/90 skyward blade Benny on level 12 burst, and 90/90 Kazu with about 1000 em.
I switched her to electro damage off piece and had 1500ish attack , 55 CR 180 CD, and 240 ER and did 375k.
My stats are like 500 less attack, 10 less CR and, 15 less CD, and similar ER and I was doing 345k on atk goblet.
So electro seems much better on the hypercarry team cause she’s already getting so many attack buffs from benny and Sara.

Navia at C0 is incredible still, as long as you have a Zhong/Albedo paired with XL/Furina and Bennet both comps are amazing.
At that point it's just which character you like better! I've been playing sense 1.2 so I had my Raiden already when she first released and was/is my favorite BUT Navia came home to me and I LOVE her play style and she does amazing damage at C0.
Navia is new so she'll rerun but of u miss raiden you'll wait another year
borrow your friend account who has raiden c2 and navia.. play with it couple of days..
if you dont have friend then its only matter of vertical investment vs horizontal investment
pick the most beneficial to your account
Raiden works with a lot of teams, where as Navia works with certain teams. Raiden provides more value where as Navia provides more fun.

It is better on average. But yes pretty much better in any situation in terms of Raiden's personal damage. The gap between both weapons is minimal anyways.

Definitely, Furina buffing both Yae and Raiden is going to be strong. You can always try out any team comp you think of.
your claim that R5 Wavebreaker's Fin is generally weaker than r5 catch contradicts results I've come up with and results I've seen others come up with. Raiden is generally played in teams with high burst cost due to how her kit works. Playing her in low cost teams is a waste of her battery potential and hurts her damage as well. Your screenshot of your weapon comparison sheet even has a high burst cost team (which im assuming is raiden national since it's 220 energy) as its basis.
R5 WBF wholly outpaces catch without ATK buffs. With a large ATK buff like bennett to lessen the disparity in ATK, r5 catch comes closer, but does not surpass R5 WBF.
To say that R5 WBF is worse than the Catch in most scenarios is questionable.
I'm not saying others should pull for R5 WBF since it's a weapon banner exclusive.

Who could I replace Yelan with in the Nahida, Yelan and Xingqiu team? Keep in mind that the only Hydro 5 stars that l have are Tartaglia and C2 Mona. My Raiden is C3
Go for any flex unit, you don't have to necessary go for a 2nd hydro unit. Zhongli or any Anemo unit should be fine.
I can get either c2 raiden or engulfing lightning what should I go for first ?
C2, and give her the catch
C2 is overwhelmingly better because there are many decent polearms you could put on her. Not to mention pulling for c2 will likely give you c6 Sara to play with. Now the difference between c3 + R5 Catch vs c2 + Engulfing is what is small. C3 being about 1% better than Engulfing Lightning but it might change on team comps and substats.
I have been saving for half a year. I'm getting both C2 and the weapon. C2 is way better if you can only have one or the other.
I'll just be repeating what was already said in the replies, but yeah C2 is always better.
I'd even recommend c3 before going on that nightmare banner 😂

Just use an Energy Recharge Sands, additional rolls from other pieces and you'll be fine.

Chevreuse was built for overload, and she doesn't do a lot of pyro application off field, so as your only pyro source it might not get as many reactions. But either way you should try it! You never know till you test it out

For her personal damage yes. Staff of Scarlet sands is best put to use on a quickbloom team as it scales off EM. But it doesn't mean you have to change your build.
Assuming all three of her teammates are 80 burst cost characters, how much ER do they need in order for Raiden to be able to fully charge their burst from just one rotation?

I'm thinking of making a team of neuvillete nahida and raiden with a flex . Will it be a good team and which character should I use for the flex i don't have yelan but have c2 xingqiu
I use Layla as the flex spot since I don't have Zhongli and my Neuvilette is not C1. Layla provides interruption resistance and powers up Neuvilettes ascension passive. It's a really comfy team for over world exploration.

That depends on Team assumption. If in a team with high total burst cost wavebreaker will be better.
For National it's still Emblem set? I just got her C2.

Yup, her burst infusion can't be overridden.
Planning raiden, nahihi, nuve and fischel is it good?
It's going to work. But I would recommend use either Fischl or Raiden and use another unit of another element for Nuevillette's passive.
Ei C3 + Bennet + Sara C6 + Cheveruse C6 = EXPLOSION!!!

kazuha 1000 EM give 40% dmg bonus < C6 cheveruse 20%*3 stacks
cheveruse + bennet = double pyro give 25% atk > kazuha no bonus
cheveruse passive if 40k hp give 40% atk > kazuha no bonus
I'll be talking more about Chevreuse in my guide later on, I think both of them together will be stronger but only better in a single target situation or where enemies don't get knocked back by overload.

Which of the three should i pick for my team?
If your sticking with Venti in your team, Kujou Sara and Bennett will be a better pick for your team. Xingqiu is good if your able to vaporize (if you have Xiangling in your team), otherwise Kujou Sara is better for Raiden's personal damage.
Which is better C0 with main weapon or C2 with R5 catch??

Is xiao's signature r1 weapon better than r5 catch?
It depends on ur artifacts of u have a lot of energy recharge on ur pieces primordial jade winged spear is really really good but if ur lacking energy recharge u might want to consider the catch but I’d say ur build is going to be really good with Primordial as the base attack is 200 more. deathmatch isn't as good, catch already gives 12% crit rate and lot of useful stats so it's better
in abyss if you dont have enough energy for the round then 210 er is problematic to fill her burst.. r5 catch is your safe bet

Battery, and just overall a good DPS.
DPS - High Burst multipliers (Over 700% just the initial slash at Talent level 10, not even counting the NA/CA you do during her Burst.)
Battery - She can charge other unit's Bursts (Though that doesn't mean run no ER. She just helps A LOT.)
Her passive actually wants you to build a lot of ER on her (Over 220%.), as she gets an Electro damage bonus. So, you can run Attack goblet and still get amazing results.
Yes, others can apply Electro, but Raiden is basically the best one in the game because when her Skill is active it's a short cooldown between AOE hits and her Skill's duration is 25 seconds; enough for basically a full rotation of her.
I'm not forcing you to pull, but I can surely tell you that you won't regret it if you do.

iirc her ele skill proc faster thus allowing her to proc reaction faster and more frequent than other electro applicator
super cost (primos) efficient.. basically her power at c2/c3 comparable to other c6
just take a look at her c2 and yae c6.. they are quite similiar 😳
