This is a great pre amp. Im using this preamp like di box because I have the stompmix 4 channel mixer and Lrbaggs Align session compressor like my first pedal. Nice video
So I picked up a Martin 000-28, I immediately installed an Anthem SL, pickup is so hot it’s ridiculous. LR Baggs says it’s cause of the bone saddle and I should use a Tusq saddle, I ordered one and haven’t tried it yet, I moved the tru-mic portion from in front of the strings to behind the bridge pins, no luck
Sure, I would bet it can help improve your tone with the EQ and preamp. The impedance rating of magnetic pickups isn’t as high as a piezo though so the preamp’s affect on tone won’t be as dramatic as it is in this video.
hey there, like the channel- I have a D18 with a K&K pure mini. I plug it into an ACUS amp but I think I need a pre-amp… it sounds a bit muddy. What (simple) pre-amp you think I need for my gear? Thank you.

I was wondering whether dudes would be happy putting this next to LR Baggs type equipment. Good to know it plays nice and stands up on its own!
Great demo as always! Thanks!
Great review! Very informative..! thank you..
I just got the Behringer Vtone, it has a mid range knob that works for me.

This sounds really good and is so cheap too. Shame it doesn't have a boost for solos without losing the EQ.
Can you directly record this to iphone?
Great demo - thanks . How would this product cope with a magnetic pickup ie. Fishman Rare Earth , Humbucker?
Does this work with a Passive Magnetic Pickup ( Namely : Seymour Duncan Woody HC™ (SA-3HC) Hum Cancelling Acoustic Guitar Pickup)

Nah I never need one and I've had many I prefer my guitars preamp and just use an eq pedal and effects pedals
