Wowww. For that price that’s insane! Looked around for something to control tone on my A3CM as it booms a bit and you sacrifice punch trying to pull it out, this is perfect! And FX too.. and FX loop…AND a looper! So stoked to plug into this thing!
Seems like a good option to consider for an acoustic guitar. Has all the functions and effects an acoustic performer would most likely use. The only issue I see is that it's coming late into an established market and does not have, in my opinion, something different to distinguish itself from pedals, like the boss AD series acoustic pedals, etc. Would like to see a USB out.
I've just spend about minute trying to clear a black dot under your guitar's neck from my screen before realising it's onto your background (or camera lens)
I got one of these for a present. I admit, I haven't given it much of a chance. Maybe when my current dust of moving settles, I'll give it a go again :)>
I just got one of these, thank you very much. This IS a great bargain preamp/di. I've got this thing with my chorus and reverb in the loop + a Mooer looper. I've got everything I need for a lot of humble gigs if I like. Could you complain about the lack of effects controls? Not at this price you @#$% can't. It sounds great with my Cordoba into my Blackstar.
Thanks for this, really checking it out. I have checked many DI but for the price this seems like a good choice with the send/return it’s too good ( bummer it’s mono, but oh well ) the freeze seems amazing, nearly as good as the ehx? However the reverb and chorus from what I’ve heard in videos seems so bad. But meh. They just crammed so much stuff lol even a looper..
I use AKG C411PP Pre-polarized condenser transduce vibration pickup with my Epiphone EJ200SCE, which has also esonic 2 preamp system. I want to add NUX stageman Di pedal after the akg transduce for more realistic acoustic flavour. What do you suggest?
I have it and kinda like it because it's small and has EQ, Reverb and a looper - all I need really. I find the reverb too muddy, too much low end. The chorus is nice. When you use the hold function the reverb is off then when you release the hold it comes back too wet for a moment then back to normal. I don't know what the USB is for. Anyone? The best use I have found for it is with the Ortega Horse Kick, which I also run through a compressor because the kick definitely needs it.
I would say the USB would be to use it linked up with a pc etc for recording purposes ie to put through an audio interface or similar hardware when running instruments to record directly.
How to set up stereo sounds with atlantic in video? When you turn on atlantic, Sounds like stereo. Isn't stereo? I want to use stageman and atlantic via send return like stereo can I ?
Even though the trebles never really become "strident", dialing up the treble control puts the sonics on the verge of being 'etched', clear but almost edgy.
Too bad you didn't play the guitar first without the engaged pedal. Now it's not possible to tell what the actual improvement is, especially because you don't like the sound of the Fishman pick up.
Clean. Make sure you set it to magnetic first. Or check out the Solid Studio, it's basically the same price and much more feature rich for an electric set up.
Does it work with passive piezo pickups? Looking for a preamp for electric cello, this might work. I guess if it fits Bill (Vencil), then it fits the bill :)
Piezo. Pronounced 'Pee-ei-zo' 🙂 There is no pie, (unless you're having pie for dinner). Seriously, these Nux units look great value. I bought a Roctary Leslie simulator and it's unbelivably good for the price, which is about 1/2 to 1/3rd of anything better (Strymon, neo-vent or Tech 21)
If they sent it to you than it is an automatic biased review. While you may be reviewing it honestly it can never be unbiased. Professional journalist here and I can tell you this is something you will learn in journalism 101.
I watched this video again to be sure - I never said the demo was "unbiased". I said that I could say whatever I wanted (as there was no contractual agreement). But agreed with your basic premise - everything I have ever said in my entire life is biased in some way or other. I hope you realize the same about everything you have ever written (including your comment).
@riverroxmusic - Unless People strictly cite specifications and objective facts, ALL musical reviews will be biased. If you are indeed a journalist, then you need to go back to school to learn how music is inherently subjective.
@@savoirfaire8979 Wrong. Ask any journalist. We do not accept gifts because it compromises our objectivity. You are referring to general personal interests in which case anyone’s opinion is subjective and that is ok. However, as a reviewer, for public consumption, you cannot characteristically say your review is unbiased simply for the fact that you were given a gift. You forfeit all objectivity in this case.
@@chordsoforion You took this out of context. The fact you were given the item forfeits your ability to be unbiased. Obviously anything anyone ever does is biased but saying your giving an honest review (even if you feel you truly are) cannot be accepted as unbiased, it doesn’t matter whether you labeled as such or not. By contrast, if you purchased the item then your opinion is not tainted and therefore call it what you want. I’m sure you’ll ignore this but look it up. It’s about keeping integrity in journalism. Not that many people even know what that is anymore.
I really can't stand the "They sent me a demo of their product, but I can say whatever I want"-bs anymore of all these sponsored guitar gear channels. Pretty obvious that if you release a negative video about the product, you will not receive the next. Being paid in product, instead of cash, is still being paid. Hence, the resulting video has no value anymore besides that of a commercial. Author of these videos seems like a decent human being that, deep down, knows full well what he does is below his own standards.
Actually, it is not below my "standards". When one receives free product, it is the law in the US that this must be disclosed. That is why I have the "Paid Promotional" flag set on this video and my other "free product" demos and why I generally disclose in the video that I received the product for free. As far as doing negative demo videos - I don't. If I dislike the product, I let the company know and return it to them. I am sure there are better ways to handle this, but that's the way I do it.
@@chordsoforion I believe it would help the beginners AND manufacturers to avoid bad products if someone with a megaphone such as yourself gives honest, negative reviews. Agreed that the market is crowded. I have not seen a price on this yet, but that will definitely be a factor in success (or not).
Beautiful sounds!
Thank you!!
Way better with the delay and reverb together using the Atlantic. Good demo.
First. Looking for good, portable and affordable acoustic guitar pedal. Built in reverb, noth filter is a must have.
Compressor just a bonus.
Thanks for the helpful video. Suddenly I find myself missing my old Thunderhawk...
Love mine, the midscoop function is great ;-)
The part where you play by the end of minute 9:00 is really beautiful

Great video, love the presentation style and mix talking/demo

only disappointing thing was that you didn't show us the sound of your guitar WITHOUT the pedal before engaging it. good sounds though.

The compressor is before the preamp? Thinking to get one compressor..😁

I think this pedal never had a firmware update?
Bill, I really think you ought to try the ToneDexter.
Yes - that looks really interesting!
Haven't been able to find where to buy the pedal in the U.S. Know of any stores?

I wonder if the aux input could work as an input for backing tracks?
Someone said there's a usb on it so you could hook up to laptop and get backing tracks that way I would imagine.

I want to use stageman and atlantic via send return like stereo can I ?
I don't understand the send return there's only one socket. How does it work??
It requires a TRS splitter cable. One side of the split is the send, one is the return. Here's an example: imp.i114863.net/jWDQKb
@@chordsoforion OK thanks. I guess you can put more than one pedal in the loop.. Is that how you put the compressor and delay in the loop??

IT is also forma nylon strings

Don't see why not nylon string is acoustic and I've never seen a designated pedal just for nylon strings I'm sure it would do just nicely.
was the acoustic guitar signal 100% the pedal or was your mic picking it up too??
O efeito Chorus é o mais bonito, na minha opinião . Minas Gerais - Brasil .

I don't know. I have never used either of those.
How do you think this would work for an archtop/jazz style electric direct to a p.a?
I think it depends on the tone you are looking for. If you don't want any amp or speaker coloration, then it may work pretty well.
