I've never stopped loving these guys since first hearing them in 1967 on the box in DC at the One Step Down Lounge. How can it EVER get better than this? Say Amen somebody!
I love the smile on Lewis' face and the rest of them. They just love playing. They have played this song hundreds of times, but every time is like the first time. They are true artists, are masters of their craft, and the music that they make will never get stale!!!
I would say 'It's ONE WAY Jazz can be played'. George Benson's "Breezin' ", "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis, Ray Charles on "Blues & Jazz" - all very different than this but excellent musicianship across the board.
Fantasticos!!!, gracias por colgar este video, además con buen sonido. Cero que he oido a nadie swingear con el vibrafono como a Milt Jackson, sin desmerecer al resto del cuarteto....todos buenísimos....irrepetible grupo!!!
You can almost read their minds - or at least you all of a sudden know what they're talking about. Well - that's what's making the title of this song a real truth!
