I love the european style cable "manhole" systems... especially the ones they use besides railroad tracks as well as main roads... a lot smaller and less complicated to get set and as a lot of our data cables actually are being fixed in sewer pipes as well (they run on inside at the top of the pipe) we not only save a lot of space but even lots of work for installing new lines it is interesting to see how it's done in the US (I wonder how they disconnected the base from the manhole box at first... I mean, as you said, the shoring was removed...) but I enjoy how it is done over here in Austria and Germany a bit more ;-)
We dont have soil like that in Virginia. Thats a square whole dude. Now im all messed thinking damn. My stuff looks like crap compare to this. You made it too perfect.... slurry? To back fill? Woah that thing will be there for 100s of years
Mitchell, Approximately how many hours would it take to install one manhole? Also how many workers/ equipment will be required ( in detail) .. Thanks..
Steve Dunthorne Shoring was removed after the hole was completed. As you might notice no one was in the hole while the man hole was being set. No PPE? not sure what type of ppe is lacking.
Most people are 'too good' to work concrete or shitty physical labor, and would complain about the safety blah blah. Just do the work, and the immigrants complain less.
As someone new in the utility field, this was very helpful to know it's not just a hole under a metal cap. Cool stuff!
Thanks so much!!
Great explanation 😊👍

a couple
How does this manhole connect to a flowing pipe? I didn't see any connecting pipes or tunnels.
Its for conduit, They punch the holes out after they dig the rest of the trench
John Yeoh it an electrical manhole not sewer
Can dry conduit manhole be reused from one job to another?
can anyone inform me about a 'dolomitic topping' on top of the benching. thank you
No shoring no ppe, is this how it works in North America,

Looks like you should utilize E-Verify.

Good stuff
It’s a utility vault.
good movie!
No road vest. Not in this country lmao
Got to find something wrong! Congratulations
If you're in controlled area doing physical, dirty labor it's not uncommon. Don't want shit to get caught on.,
amazing
