I find it crazy that people get labeled "lazy" for not mindlessly working yourself to death to build someone else's dream while they not give a sh*t me in the slightest.
I took the red pill.
These pills as of now are making stuff worse than making it any better
Absolutely right, you summed it up beautifully.
If organisations can pay just enough that employees don't resign. Employees will also work just enough so organisations can't fire.
@@peacekeeper9840 and more so currently most of what ppl ( esp in formalised sectors) are contributing to is detrimental for society, I think it stems from there and ppl subconsciously know that
You can leave the job then. There are candidates who can work harder / better.
@@UNMEASURED100 yes but still we need to care about the society too, plus in india it isn't as good as western etc countries on any front and at some stage or the other ppl would have to be as per the market, that's v simplistic and ignorant of you plus humility is needed, and is that hardwork actually pointful though?
In japan.. people don't have any social life, friends, don't get married find it stressful to have kids and don't get good sleep. If this is what entails being called ambitious.. who wants this? Lazy girl job only sounds lazy but in reality is perfect for healthy, minful lifestyle not just for oneself but also for your family and loved ones!
Whatever the CEOs or journalists say against remote jobs, in reality, remote jobs are the best jobs. We should encourage remote working wherever possible. It definitely provides a better life-work balance!
I have a fully remote job (in IT) and believe me its not as great as it seems to be. You lack routine, lack socializing and sometimes its less productive as well. I’ve worked in all three ways - everyday office, hybrid and remote. Hybrid is the best when you have full control over your schedule and you can chose when to go to the office and when not.
@@NikitaWhy Yeah I like that kind of Hybrid where going to the office is non-mandatory and as per each employee's choice. But most of the companies deceive everyone in the name of Hybrid by forcing everyone to the office compulsorily for 3 to 4 days a week. There had been a lot of days where people would just come to the office and have nothing much to do except attend unnecessary meetings. We do not need to come to the office every day. We can only those days when we are feeling bored and want to socialize. The problem is mixing socialization with work leads to a lot of distraction in itself due to one interfering with another through useless gossibs and chit-chats in the office areas.
@@NikitaWhy🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😢😢😢🎉🎉🎉😂🎉
Hybrid 😂 only for transition phase it's like Indian Govt job, which never works for the company
True, I've realised it later. It takes 4hours travelling through jams to be able to be there at the office only. What a waste of time and energy. Unhealthy foods, travel expenses along with no work life balance really reduced mental energy and productivity.
First quiet quitting. Then great resignation. Now lazy girl. With different names it's the same thing continuing. People have gradually realizing that no matter how hard you work, even you put 100+ hours per week, getting all the qualifications & certifications to climb ladder; at the end vast majority not going to be in that 1% club. Look at many people in 30s & 40s. Many are sitting on mountain of debts, mortgages, student loans, suffering rise of cost in everything. People are exhausted. Dead tired. No more energy, no hope left to function any further. So some people are taking steps back, simplifying lives, giving up the ideas of climbing the corporate ladder, chasing status, shine in society, chasing lavish lifestyles etc.
Please don't call it a lazy job.Its really a wrong way to portray it.Its about striking a good work life balance.Utilising the extra time to work on family or self and things that we love so that we don't get drained. Its a smart way of working rather than killing yourself at work. We are putting our best foot forward during the working hours. This work life balance is especially important for working mothers.
In bangalore just the travel to and from office takes over 2 hours even if u manage to stay within 6 km radius form the ofice, which too is difficult given the high rent. Earlier I used to cope with the same, but after becoming a mom this useless 2 hours would seem like eternity, I'd hate to waste time like that every day. Also, to do lazy girl job you need to be smart and that good at the job.
In this context 'Lazy' has positive connotations
Itna takleef lene ki zaroorat hi ni h.. why don't u find somewhere nearby
Ok 😮
STAY AT HOME - COOK AND CLEAN ! SIMPLE NO?
We seriously need better labour laws in our country. Our ministers don't care about the salaried middle class. We need a 40 hour work week with a labour ministry that punishes companies that exceed it.
Would be great if Palki and others highlight this to the government.
Going over and beyond in most cases gets you rewarded with more work 😂. Do what you’re being paid for and live your life. How many times have people gone over and beyond for their employer and still get fired lol. No promotion, No raise, just more work.
One of the reasons why Indians wanna move to Europe! Better work-life balance!
@@user-wy3xh6mj9t Yeah, in Europe, people have more affinity to remote work than in-office work because they care for their life.
If Indians open their mouth & utter the words like “right to disconnect” they will be permanently disc. From the org.! 😂
No, it’s because they want 1st world lifestyle.
In Mega MNC like Accenture the official work hours are 8.30 am to 6.30 pm n needless to say most ppl do work extra to “shine”☺️among the colleagues in hope of promotions..
Indians definitely need to introspect themselves about where is this taking them
Accenture is a tech harem
@@robertnelson9621 lol true. all the services companies are the same
This is a misconception. Just because a work can be done from home doesn’t make it easy. Computational physics can be done from anywhere as long you have a laptop, yet only those who work in the field know how brain racking it is. calling a job “lazy” just coz it offers a better style of working is imprudent to say the least
Best perk of this is that we get to avoid the bullshit office politics that are rampant in Indian companies Atleast
The corporate world leaders doesn't like this arrangement . Hence the term . Many sectors will be at loss .
@@bharatdesikan5134 yes the same reason why I like working remotely. Also no gossips ! which makes it all the more better.
The description doesn’t sound lazy; it just sounds like it doesn’t give you cancer. Why is having a healthy paced job lazy?
Even Prime Minister says you must work "hard". This is what kills the joy of working and ends I. Broken marriages, cancer and suicides. Work and juggle family life should be the key words
People don't pay enough attention to the complexity of just maintaining a body. It takes time to do simple things well.
True, I've realised it later. It takes total of 4hours travelling through jams to be able to be there at the office only and then getting back. What a waste of time and energy. Unhealthy foods, travel expenses along with no work life balance really reduced mental energy and productivity.
Just curious.. why isn't it called a lazy boy's job?
Because it is only done by women ☕
Because men HAVE to work hard, else they're the ones who get axed first. Women are generally not fired from their jobs as most companies try to maintain a healthy sex ratio and due to fear of criticism as well. So, the boys don't and can't slack in general. This fact may hurt the misandrists!
@@NavSah1000 haha .. quite a generalization..
Anyways
Maybe if we get to know who coined this term, it might get us some insight as to why that person calls it so
Feminist spotted 😂🤣😂
Is this just another way of saying work life balance?
She is being deceptively sarcastic. Even she can't believe this nonsense. Do you think she became who she is now by being a 9-5 lazy journalist? Like can't cover a story because it's beyond office hours? Like the world ceases to exist after hours?
My favorite Indian news woman! 👩🏽
my favorite indian woman is sushmita sen, the most beautiful indian woman
The lazy girl?
The Hen and the Golden Eggs story. That is today’s work culture and that’s capitalism.
The same employers will use the situation that they created to introduce tireless robots to replace humans in the name of efficiency.
@@user-wy3xh6mj9tAss with the value. The sole purpose of capitalism is to earn money and it can do anything to do that.
@@user-wy3xh6mj9twell, then the definition of value itself is wrong. An item girl gets way more money than a school teacher. Who is providing more value? A guy building a wall gets paid less than a guy building an app for senseless entertainment. Who is actually creating more value? A diamond ring costs more money than a laptop.
Capitalism has created a lot of narratives and used advertising to push ideas down our throat.
Basically lasy girl job means focusing on work and ourselves at the same time... having a good work - life balance !!
My fiancee works 72 hours in a week. Sometimes he doesn't get off for more than ten days so the count is more. Exploitation of employees in private industries in India is too much. Company wants heavy profits by reducing manpower too.
#firstpost can you cover the recent Udupi school incident in Karnataka, the secret filming thing. And how some "fact checker" are trying to dismiss is by falsely claiming it a prank when the victims have said it was without permission.
And the people who raised this issue are being harassed by the Karnataka state police which is being ruled by the Indian national congress party at present.
They won't.
#Khangress won't Even consider the case if the accused is of #pissfullreligion , even if you have authentic video or eye witness 😢
Yes, poor Hindus are being victimised by bad Muslims. *yawn*
This is western media talking that suits their audience they don’t care about the country nor the internal issues in India !
What irks me is that there's a gender bias even in this new work preference reality...I guess what really happened during the post COVID WFH era is that most working women realised that they put in way too much effort to succeed at work and home, now they just want the balance to be established
Not just the gender bias - calling a lazy job as lazy "girl" job is the peak of casual gender biasing. Men who want lazy 'girl' job aka good work-life balance will be mocked !!
I love working from home. Also, why should we work when pay is still of 2015 ? Still review .. no proper leaves nothing. U should also talk about corporate slavery in India.
The reality is we cant give our best everyday and also we cant be lazy everyday... there needs to be a balance... speaking after 15 years of work experience..
I am not a girl, but long ago without even realizing I took up a 'lazy girl job' in a product startup as a Software Engg. I built some rudimentary product at a slow pace, but the people were happy. Furthermore, I had a carefree lifestyle and my bosses were okay with it. Then, when I applied for an interview in a bigger MNC, I had to join at the starting level because my experience wasn't strong enough to skip the entry level. A sum total of 6 years was wasted because of this comfortable job.
Can't agree. As a tech startup founder, I can say that It's because your founders were either shitty employers who didn't know what kind of work to get done or you just didn't care enough to proactively try and grow the company. I could be wrong but based on my personal experience, it is one of the 2.
@@sachit9212 You don't have to agree. I posted it as an example of 'lazy girl job'. They can exist anywhere depending on the circumstance. You interpreted it as an assault on all the startup companies. If you are a real tech startup founder, you would have the basic wisdom to figure out that my statement was not an attack on all the startups and there is no need to call people 'shitty' or 'careless' because using such language alienates people. Are you are sure you are a 'tech startup founder'?
I have a question, so if one were overqualified for a job, yet doing it, easy peasy, not putting in too much effort, would that be a lazy girl job?
Oh😮
Brother, although I'm from a non-IT background currently pursuing an IT based course, still based on ur facts I want to highlight a few things: first of all, u mentioned u were doing some rudimentary job which probably means it didn't involve any rare skillset which large mncs are craving for, so that experience didnt mean much to them anyway, second, since u had a large amount of spare time, u could have thought of working on some freelance projects based on advance skillsets or may be build creative apps on ur own..that could hv boosted ur income n resume as well, even if u didn't have those skills, there was ample time for u to pursue courses from esteemed universities online.Doing a lazy or relaxed job doesn't mean u stop growing altogether..u can be a cookie cutter John working 12 hrs shift for 20 yrs, still the next cookie company u join won't make u their CEO for sure! It's not about the work hours u put in,it's how much u grow out of it!otherwise, recruiters simply won't care.
Anyone who is against this is just plain stupid. Everyone says work smart not hard, until a woman does the same. Then it's a problem. 😂😂 Those who are against this really be saying they want to slave away with less pay😂😂. People aren't made to work 996. People need me time. Those who are against this are just saying it because they're suffering and think others should suffer too. If the pay is good and it provides a good work life balance, then you should take it. YOU are more important than the job. YOUR HEALTH is more important than other people's opinions.
Kindly inform what the job title is. Everybody really to join.
Most of tech workers in India work 5 days a week but still works 50+ hours per week 😂
Its no doubt most of us have work hacks to relax undercut the working hours😎
Need to look at "productive" time per week not how long someone stays at work.
exactly as it should be. infact we should adopt the chinese version of it. "Let it rot"
Dont wanna say but its completely true, most will not even reply to pings on teams for hours.
It is not lazy girls job..it is sane persons job.
This is a HEALTHY job not lazy job
All the workplaces seem to have become sweatshops. At last some sanity is returning to the workplace.
I have worked in manufacturing industries for twenty five years before becoming an independent professional. I can vouch that working long hours reduces efficiency, leads to errors, spoils family life. Work is just a part of life, not the life itself.
i am not going to work in IT now, anyhow i will get a government job. i have suffered alot due to private jobs. reason is indian itself, my college used to work 12 hour per day so my boss told me i am not effective he do more work than me.
i decided not work untill company fires me. company name crystinfosystems.
these companies are illegal and don't have pf etc.
Once upon a time i was in a 8 to 5 job, then realised all my life i was travelling long distances or running to catch a mystery bird or animal, health deteriorated, now catching up with sleep!
remote jobs are neither easy nor for the lazy. just because someone stays home for work, its not like they don't manage the family responsibilities. we end up multi-tasking and often work more hours.
Work from home or remote jobs are the best 🌟 no matter what anyone says
being a woman i can say this kind of lifestyle is necessary for all not only women..doing 9 hrs of jobs, travelling 4 hours and still picking up call hampering mundane chores just for few bucks and someone else doesn't sound good. y bursting the crackers on women? it should be allowed to all where possible else some sort of compensation should be given keeping Indian lifestyle in mind!
I have been working since I was a teenager. Even though there are massive controversy regarding women having a career at all in my country. The amount of work to pay ratio has changed drastically for me during these years. I mean it's all about being smart about it. I saw some places where women were dying due to extensive work obligations. Such a bad life. Honestly, atleast my problems are created by others not self-induced. BTW could have gone for a better name for this stuff. Sounds like a corporate conspiracy theory to making better choices sound like a crime. Honestly!
You nailed it . The corporate leaders aren't liking this arrangement. Many sector will loose revenue.
I've retired early by saving 70% of my salary within 16 years and now i am doing retail business from morning 8 AM till afternoon and then doing short/medium term stock trading from home for 3 hours, This is called diversification and i am financially independent.
Reminds me of that tiktok where the girl crying why did we fight to get us to work and crying.
It is frustrating that Firstpost will not increase its audio level to the average level of other videos in RUclips, despite repeated feedback.
In India actual work hours is less than 24. But, yes they are required to show up for 48.
These will be the first jobs AI takes away lol. This is the worst time for you to be lazy, you should be working on at least improving your skill set outside of work and appreciating when you have a good thing (which won’t last forever).
You simply did not understand the entire article. A lazy woman's job is not lazy. You may work as a data scientist but in the form of remote work that pays you well then according to this article, it's a lazy woman's job. In this job, you can upskill yourself a lot! The term is given to this job in order to view the people doing or searching for this kind of job negatively. This job is better to be termed as a simple 'comfortable job' or 'comfy job' as this is exactly what it is.
The intelligent ones are building their unique skill sets. The actually lazy ones will be the ones who suffer.
Everything what u said is valid only if u shall be alive during that AI period
Govt employee in West Bengal is doing this since the revolution
Do you know how much overtime Indian do..... So many hours go unaccounted .. overtime pay is just law specially private sector
Remote jobs are future media always misslead
Here’s to all the girls in the health team. There’s no time to be lazy.
Remote job, Work from home is best. In current era where both the partners need to do job to beat the inflation one partner must do work from home otherwise who will take care of children & family because in India there is no work life balance like Europe for office going people.
Why criticizing women for remote work? This is so sexist, I cannot belive this commentary. Are these people a journalists or gossipers.
I remember in my childhood, ppl use to compare with Japan that as they work hard more, they turned into a developed nation. Im in my 30s now, and working for state Goverment, we work for 10 hrs a day, sometimes 12-13 hrs with we have to run and be alert on sundays and holidays as well. No officer questions no employees unions come to rescue! We are dead exploited in the name of meagre salary.
are you joking with this tag "lazy girl job" ? work-life balance was only made possible with getting into remote work jobs
I a man but won't lazy girl jobs
It make me very happy and nearly 0 stress
But why called it lazy girl job
Just called lazy job
I don't think so there is anything wrong in this kind of jobs, we need more jobs like this, we women face so many biological issues
No matter what we Indian women have to do domestic works
We need proper work life balance
I agree that working from home is convenient and allows for an ideal balance between work and personal life. But when you have a lazy job, despite its income that it brings, are you growing as an individual? What kind of challenges do you face that allows you to grow?
How much growth does a corporate fulfill for its employees. The current job scenario has taken a toll to physical and mental health. Are you sure that corporate growth caters to its employees as per the current inflation. Several private corporates like IT tech industries have not provided appraisals to its employees for more than 2 years and employees have to shift to another companies every 3 years to retain their decent salary. You are talking about individual growth and it never matters to any corporates.
Very interesting! It is truly helpful to realize this trend!
Success appears to be related to activity. People that are successful never stop. They make errors yet they don't give up... We actually require multiple revenue sources as the severity of the economic crisis worsens. With the appropriate skills and knowledge of how the market operates, there are many opportunities to make a respectable living in the stock markets and the world of blockchain technology.
Your assertion is true in every way. Many people continue to become extremely wealthy through the stock and virtual currency markets; all you actually need is some relevant information and professional coaching. During times of extremely high market volatility, investors shouldn't just stand by and watch the markets drop. If you work with an experienced tutor, your portfolio will significantly grow. Andrew Glenn Adams has always been the financial analyst with outstanding accessibility and in-depth experience with the many financial industry sectors. A quick search on the Internet will help you find him.
@@AlecHadden The financial markets undoubtedly provide a lot of chances, but throughout the years I've learned enough to be weary of the notion. Knowing where to concentrate is crucial, and it would be worthwhile to try whether Mr. Adams may genuinely be of use.
Technology sector seems to be the only one disrupting work place practices. Most others are just the same with little changes work is harrowing & employees are just like slaves
Yes and not just girls everyone faces this, there is not life beyond work a notion completely driven by counties like US and Japan where people are so over worked.
Whereas the shareholders of big companies enjoy the life and luxuries.
Balance is the key from both extreme
It is definitely time to work smarter and not harder.
It’s not about the hours you put in but about the efficiency. Many people work long hours in the office but also waste a lot of time in chitchatting and socializing and other irrelevant stuff. Sometimes they have to otherwise it’s not sustainable. Also, working mothers have a lot in their plates. The work doesn’t just end at the office but continues beyond that and that takes a toll on their physical and mental health.
Am I the only one who thinks the sound in these videos is very low? I have my volume at the highest level and yet it’s not enough. I don’t have this problem with other channels. I hope they do something about it.
This is called dream job & not a lazy job. Redefine the label rather than glorifying the wrong label. We all deserve to be treated as Human & not Machine.
Self employeed & corner shop.owners do much more hours
Wonder why this video NEVERS states what these jobs actually are?
Because they either don't exist or don't pay well.
The video prolly assumes that ppl have friends. Like i have many friends who are doing data scientist/ ML/ SWE jobs remotely. Make more friends that way u can still know whats the trend 😂❤
'Dull Girl Jobs' appears to be a better term instead of 'Lazy Girls Jobs.'
2:36 so that’s “dull”????
Then they complain about WAGE GAP 😂😂😂😂
Papa ki pari . 😂😂😂
God forbid if I decide not to continuously sit in a grey walled 4x4 cube, just making sure to be visible to my boss, whether I am actually constructively workjng or not! God forbid if I paced my work through the 8-hr day, did 40 min of uninterrupted work, then decided to do a couple of chores, listen to 5 min of music or did stretches or yoga, then back to another stretch of focused work.
Wait isnt that how we all managed in school or college? Were we all called “lazy” students? This labeling and naming of evry little thing nowadays is beyond ridiculous! Didnt expect this sort of journalism from Firstpost.
Am doing that lazy work.. Remote work 40 hrs a week..
Honestly at present what people contribute in while working is detrimental to society, if we all keep on doing that unquestioned we have had it, plus equality, transparency , honesty, workers rights are at a toss v badly
In this woke age I am surprised that girls are not complaining about use of word "Girl". Why not call it "lazy person"
Don't give them IDEAS ......
Moreover this is because , MEN don't have a choice , they have to do the job if they want to survive. No body is gona feed them , sopnser their dreams , buy them gifts etc ..
We work to live not live to work.
We being exploited by MNCs😊
Women finally realizing that we can't have it all - a man's way,... and not be depressed.
We can have it all if, yes,... we prioritize our health. Mental and physical.
If it is less than 2000 hrs of productive work per year it is lazy job.
Obviously the term "lazy girl job" has a negative connotation. It's obviously to de-hype remote jobs with better pay and better hours so the companies can continue profiting by under paying and over working their employees with ridiculous deadlines and vague requirements.
Lazy girl job is win win situation for both parties...it gives life some breathing space or else you don't know when you grew old...
huh 1900 and 1600 aren't much given in the west that's a standard full time job.
am i missing something?
😮
I work over 50 hours per week
Indians work that much the only difference is there’s 0 life value since we r too many so no 💰for us & the co. Expects u to keep in mind that u cn be replaced any moment so u should be grateful that u got a job n not expect stupid things like money
That's what I'd call being smart at work. It's improved efficiencies in everything including their own lives. Why work when you don't even have your own time to spend those money? Might as well eating grass.
So a job that maintains health and balance
Proud to have a LazyBoy Job 🌚
it existed for 100 of years, its called a house wife 😂😂
Lazy girl jobs?! Nooo it's called Smart girl jobs(going by your explanation). Why complicate and take the long route when one can uncomplicate and achieve the same with much efficiency and ease!
From girl boss to home work life balance , lazy girls and then finally back to household work alone...no controversy..it is just nature ..
ok Uncle
It should be a pre requisite to be self employed, the free market doesn't care what your gender, race, religion, politics are, it's the ultimate equalizer. You get paid what you're really worth.
Why lazy girl? Why not lazy person or lazy man job....
In India undoubted king of lazy girl job is Govt Job. We have worked hard to get one but when you got it, your JOB is over !😂😂😂
AI will gobble up and take over all the lazy jobs. 😂
When you want to work to life and provide, but when they eant you to live to work
Those " lazy job " are the pillars of the company. It's kinda sexist to call it "lazy girl jobs" men can do it too.
It's very inappropriate to call that as lazy girl job
We should replace lazy with normal.. there's no exception from job, they are trying to work normally without burnout
Any links of such lazy girl jobs..... i want to try them out plleeeaasseeee
Wonder what the lazy boy job is then ? Maybe let the women do all the work ?😂
We dont see it now, but I guess 5-10 years from now, the shift to hybrid mode of work culture will be single handedly responsible for reduction of many health care issues in 30-50 year old age group such as heart attacks, obesity, hypertension depression or anxiety.
Also we will see a rise in general happiness especially amongst working women as they get more time for themselves while still achieving career goals and getting enough time to spend with kids. In general health awareness will increase amongst the middle-aged employees, especually in countries like USA, Japan or Korea where working yourself to death is seen as an achievement.
tPerhaps the greatest boon to society will be decline in air pollution levels. Of course corporates will not want this welcome change in society.. all they care is their expensive glitzy glass buildings are lying empty and they still have to pay their rents!
Miss palki in her fabulous sarees.
This is not lazy girl job, this is busy mom job.
Such misogynistic title and story. Didn’t expect this …
this is pathetic ploy from Real estate builders to pull remote workers into horrible city traffic and pay huge money to them in rent. this is how low greediness can stoop in.
