Since the wife wants A kid so bad, this should work out just fine, no? Watch the hamster start going...because, I predict, it's ok if she gets it from another man, but not if he gets it from another woman. Another option: do both. She gets one from another guy, he gets one from another girl, and they have 2 kids when all is said and done. Fair, right? Now both of them have their genetic material go on another generation. The issue with your suggestion is that although IVF is super expensive, surrogacy will cost you a kidney. The cost of surrogacy is INSANE and very very very few people could afford it. Here's a suggestion: don't have kids at all. They've waited a bit too long. Even if they could get pregnant via IVF, the possibility of which is VERY low on its own, there is no guarantee that the child will be normal. This will be a geriatric pregnancy which means higher risk of: miscarriage, birth defects, premature birth, Downs Syndrome, autism, shall I go on? There is nothing wrong with not having kids AT ALL. If you've waited until you're freaking 35, it was obviously never a priority or a deal breaker for you. Just continue to live a happy, childfree life, loving each other.

When we returned to the car she stated “I’m going to do this with you or without you”. This was a kick in the guts that became the beginning of the end. The issue with your suggestion is that although IVF is super expensive, surrogacy will cost you a kidney. The cost of surrogacy is INSANE and very very very few people could afford it. Here's a suggestion: don't have kids at all. They've waited a bit too long. Even if they could get pregnant via IVF, the possibility of which is VERY low on its own, there is no guarantee that the child will be normal. This will be a geriatric pregnancy which means higher risk of: miscarriage, birth defects, premature birth, Downs Syndrome, autism, shall I go on? There is nothing wrong with not having kids AT ALL. If you've waited until you're freaking 35, it was obviously never a priority or a deal breaker for you. Just continue to live a happy, childfree life, loving each other.
