The first estate sale was a dream! The second was great, but not half as good as the first one. My friends kid me when we go to garage sales, they say that i instantly know where the jewlery is at and go directly to it. The first necklace that was shown was gorgeous! The rest was beautiful, but the first one that you showed was gorgeous! Thanks for another great video!!! Love ya!😊😊❤❤
Omg Danni!! I can’t take my eyes off the screen!!!I LOVE this ArtistsHouse full of Fabulousness !! 💜💜💜 I just can’t get enough of this type Video …..more please!💜💜💜
Hello Danni, I really loved you shopping at the estate sales. I'm a glass loving person, so I love the art Murano glass with the nice clear pontil bottoms. The lamps ,paintings, little baskets, etc .But most of all, when you were saying goodbye, I felt happy & sad at the same time. You have such a beautiful presence💙 💙 💙
Maybe, for the baskets, make little ornaments by adding nests made from pine needles, tiny twigs, straw, etc and birds. That'd be cute for easter, or for Christmas if the birds are Cardinals, or if you add some small berries and other wintery accessories. Even with little or no embellishments, they'd look good as Christmas tree ornaments in a more natural, country, or primitive style. Especially the little fans. Add them nestled in all around a wreath and put chocolates or sweets in each basket.
What an amazing shopping experience at the mid-century artist's sale! Loved it!! You got some really wonderful things there. Thanks for taking us along!
That first estate sale was so cool and amazing…and Oh. My. Gosh those paperweights are my kind of heaven. I was drooling over them all! I’ve bought a lot for resale but I haven’t had the heart to sell them and they are all in my cabinet on display 😂
I love the estate sales. My folks used to go to estate sales on the weekend as their entertainment. I live in the middle of Wyoming. Folks here go to farm auctions for that entertainment. It is an all day get together.
Baskets for jewelry shipping containers. Putting jewelry gifts in to them. Putting gem and mineral specimens in them. Make a shadow box with straw flowers and miniature photo flowers (heads on tooth picks inserted into them like a bouquet.) Endless possibilities, plus they are fun.
Love the little baskets! They looked like they might be hand-made. If they are they are collectable empty. However, miniature baskets are sometimes worn on chains as necklaces. I think as talented as Rachel is, she could make miniature clay flowers for them or your mom could do some miniature crochet plants. Loved your video, as always!
I stumbled onto this channel and it is my new favorite. You were just so gentle and kind in your approach and positive. It is so different from some of the others. I’ve watched. I’m learning lots too, so thanks.
First sale, blown away. I'd have bought all of those colorful jackets! Just beautiful.❤ I loved his taste in color. Sad to have lost him. Those huge penguins were incredible!
Those lamps are spectacular. OMgosh that car. The penguins--very unusual. Wow! That couch. Love the paperweights. The insane colors and artistic styles. What a fun sale.
This guys art work is my brother in laws work ! He one the Cleveland “ May” show with his “ one man device for punching holes in the wall!” He’s deceased now , but I’m well aware of his art work ! 😂😂😂 we laugh but, he did alright money wise !
Those tiny baskets could be made into Christmas tree decorations. The woven fans can be used as angel wings and the baskets could have tiny poinsetta flowers within or fruit made of old jewelry. Just a thought... or use them to make other seasonal decorative pieces... Like in an autumn floral arangments, on spikes with harvest veggies and fruit or at easter/spring with eggs or spring flowers. Possiblility? for the creative person.
I don’t know how you could possibly even sleep the night after those sales! Talk about brain overload … and such different styles….whew!! Wonderful going with you!!❤️
The outdoor table and padded chairs are so cool. Very groovy backyard. Laura Caldwell likes blue and brown. The couch might be over the top for her, but perfect for retro fans.
Many artist have painted on both side of a board. That “ plain bowl” was real nice. I see a lot of 1970’s jewlry. With the little baskets what making air balloon type of items
When I saw the Penguins, I was pretty sure that I've seen a documentary about this artist. Or it may have been that they included him in a doc that included several artists. Cool stuff.
That artist's house was amazing! All the assemblages! (All those pictures made from tiny plastic pieces and found stuff!) The people who make stuff like that, as well as those who do collage or junk journals, are my target market: I sell vintage and found treasures on Etsy for people to make new art out of! :)
Oh my goodness Dannie, I would have gone absolutely Nuts at this sale 😂. I would have bought so much, and kept it for me!! 🤗🤗🤗. I’m not a reseller. Darn it I would so love to find goodie’s like this. 😭😭. Just beautiful items 🤗🤗💕💕💕.
Did you go back for the head with the tiny beads? It was so different and pretty. Loved the murano bowl but the big thing for me was all that amazing lighting. I have never seen so much of it. Some of those lighting pieces should have been in the thousands of dollars each Just an incredible collection. Just a gasp worthy video every time you entered a new space And those couches omg 🤯. As for the baskets and fans all I can see is the most incredible Christmas tree decorations. A tree with those painted or not would be just so beautiful and interesting Thanks for the incredible shopping trip Oh geez those Pendleton coats lol 🤤 they were collectors pieces as well.
What wonderful pieces in the 1st house and as for those baskets - maybe for dolls house or putting collections of tiny gem stones, or miniature eggs at Easter. I'd hang them as ornaments on a Christmas tree too.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every second of this video! The art was spectacular! Love all of the colors! My favorite things were the paperweights and especially the wonderful couch that was out by the pool that you first looked at. It was exquisite! Loved your gleeful reactions to seeing all of the colorful beauty around you! What an interesting sale! I can only imagine what the person was like who owned all of the beauty and helped create some of it to. My kind of person! Life is too short for boring colors!
The tiny basket would be cute as little pin cushions. You could also paint them to match the inside fabric color. I bet your mom could whip those up in no time with her talent.
Danni I so love when you take us through the estate sales with you. The 2nd house may have been easier on your pocketbook, but by far the 2nd house was so much fun!! They had my favorite lamps, rugs, tables well everywhere you looked; so much art pieces from my era of setting up house in the 60s and 70s. The paper weights were newer, but nice and only $20 each😂 what a deal cool video 😅❤❤
WOW Danni! That first estate sale was heaven! I wish I was there shopping with you. The funny thing is, I have been so tired all day, couldn't keep my eyes open. As soon as your video came on, I was wide awake! 😂😁 The prices at the Mid century sale were awesome! Those acrylic grapes were large & in charge 😅 I have been looking for some, but for much cheaper. I just can't find any. My mom had some when I was little but we were not aloud to touch. I was so sad when my mom passed at 47 & all of her things were either taken or given away, but my sister & I didn't get anything. Anyways, it was a great video! Thanks for taking us along. ❤❤❤
I think the baskets are adorable. Mini animals/fruits and veggies and flowers in the baskets. Love the children's clothing at that one. She was a very serious seamstress.
You looked spiffy for your daughters wedding! Your son makes me laugh! When you both were posing for pictures, he reminded me of Count Chocolla on the box cereal!
I've never had so much fun at an estate sale!!!!! Thanks for inviting me along. You got a great deal. Love you! 😘❤
Admired the artist's collection of EVERYTHING! Murano, Paperweights, Clothes, Shoes, Furnishings - OMG!! Sadly he passed away so young. 😔
This mid century home, with these contents, needs to be a museum
The first estate sale was a dream! The second was great, but not half as good as the first one.
