I remember an actor being asked their opinion on a political issue asking the interviewer, "what make you think I know anything about politics, I plays people that do not exist for a living? " Bob Hope.
Thank you for another 10 for 10!! And for choosing John Branyan!! I especially enjoyed learning the differences and similarities of pastors and comedians. Donall and Conall would give this video two thumbs up...or two Patricks.
As a guest on the Johnny Carson Show, Red Skelton was asked about vulgarity (in light of Eddie Murphy). He said every comedian has their own way to get a laugh. Red then said he didn't need to be vulgar to get laughs nor would he use vulgarity. If Red Skelton didn't make the top 3 then I hope he would at least be number4.
Ski jumpers learn by jumping into swimming pools. Then doing shorter jumps with the form for the bigger ones. There is a setup for this at Lake Placid.
Okay, Hans...you and Babylon Bee ruined my mid-life crisis. I was promised wealth, a Tesla, and a very hot wife by my big box Merivangelical church. I did get the beautiful girl...she occasionally reads my posts around our anniversary...so we are good...wait is this my anniversary? No it is not...however your humor, Holy Spirit, and other Luthertoobers convinced my family to go LCMS. No you do not owe us a sports car...and thank you for 3 Little Pigs...great interview...both of you team up again soon!
60.2 subs as of now and 62 comments in this section (well 63 with my comment) but it made me think of 2 Corinthians 6:2b, saying today is the day of salvation! Maybe that's for someone out there
I enjoyed this interview. I hadn't heard of him before this, but I'll check out his website. Needing a good laugh these days... especially one without a woke lecture.
All you need to be a comedian is to be a good observer of people. People do the dumbest things. They all have a reason for it. Just watch people do dumb things and try to figure out what was going on in their brains at the moment. Who thought climbing stacks of milk crates was the thing to do? The guy that likes to laugh at people falling and breaking their bones.
I would much rather sit through an entire sermon from a pastor trying to be funny than have to sit through someone like Jimmie Kimmel preaching at me. You couldn’t pay me to sit through that type of torture. Not from any comedian really.
It’s a soteriological perspective. Some traditions- particularly reformed ones like Presbyterian often believe in infant baptism. The idea is something like this… please understand that they wouldn’t explain it like this… the parents are elect, therefore their child must be elect too. So let’s just baptise them and seal the deal. However we see clearly in scripture baptism is prescribed to be by immersion and post conversion. It’s the first big step in obeying Jesus as Lord.
@@nathanclark3575 Well, you straw manned what Lutherans and Presbyterians believe and then provided no Bible for your own beliefs. If you are going to assert something is clearly in scripture, you best make sure you back it up.

@@nathanclark3575 "However we see clearly in scripture.." The immersion part excludes people handicapped to such a degree that immersion would kill them. Thanks be to God its not the case. No where in the scripture do we find an absolute requirement for people to be immersed in water for their baptism to be valid. Neither do we find that to be the case for faith. The sacrament of baptism is in scripture never connected with a negative (E.G "this shall not be for children or unbelievers".) However, for The Lords Supper we most certainly do, in 1 Corinthians that is. The sacrament of The Lords Supper is not for unbelievers. Now, do show us where "..we see clearly in scripture baptism is prescribed to be by immersion and post conversion."

Saw him in person with a couple other guys. He's great!

I literally say " Hearken Brethren!" all the time and have forgotten it came from John's 3-Little-Pigs video. :D
Thank you for this Pastor Fiene.

"Laughter doeth good like IDK Pharmacotherapy?" I got that from the King James Joke Book. Which I think we should write.
Where are the cartoons? They told me there would be cartoons...

THIS LOUD INTERRUPTION IN A RELATIVELY QUIET VIDEO BROUGHT TO YOU BY HEARING AIDS.
How is a person a "life-long Christian?"
There is no such person.
I've been a Christian since I was a week old. So maybe not my *entire* life, but I know what he means.
