15.9 MPG and $35 per tank. You guys have it so good in the U.S! Currently to fill a 20 gallon tank in the U.K it would cost approx £82 so around $100 (I realise the video is a couple of years old so possibly a little out of date)
Just discovered your channel, kinda reminds me of myself, im 20 years old, when i was 18 i got a E36 with just about 32.000km on the clock- rustfree and all, then suddenly on the way back from cinema i lost alot of power and had to drive back on the highway with like 70 kph, i was so angry and worried about the car. Few days later we checked it- and it was just the catalytic converter that collapsed and blocked all the exhaust gases... so it was nothing to be freaking out about. Sometimes we just imagine it way worse than it actually is :)
The same clutch problem happened to me before I was going to go for a joy ride. I pressed the peddle in and it didn't come back up. Luckily I was with a friend that knew exactly what the problem was. Since the car uses a hydraulic clutch, it requires fluid that I had never checked, there was little to no fluid left. So what we did was fill it up with the correct fluid I had laying around, and bled the system until the clutch felt stiff and working as it should again. No throw out bearing problem.
How the heck are you getting 15.9mpg? my 2011 z gets 24.5mpg it's an auto and it's at 44k miles. Also your 18? I thought you were like upper 20s lol. I'm 23 and people think what is a 16 year old doing with a red 370z
Hey Danny Z no joke that better than owning a crown victoria p71 my throttle body crashed in it causing me about 12-1300$ plus my suspension was fucked running another 2000 at goodyear thankfully tho i sold it before that an got the Z haha
bought my 350z 2006 yesterday and day 1 my friend burned the clutch while bringing back to my house lol. im still waiting for diagnostic but its prob the same thing as u.. xd
This all depends on where you life. Totally the gas part. Normal petrol is like 1.65€ per liter here right now so that will be much more. But maintainence also is much more expensive on many cars for some weird reason.
A throw out bearing isn't going to cause you to lose clutch fluid. Chances are all your mechanic did was top off the fluid to regain pedal pressure. If you are losing fluid you have a leak somewhere in the hydraulic system. Most manuals that end up leaking fluid is due to a bad master or slave cylinder. Id be keeping an eye on that fluid because if all the mechanic did was replace a throw out bearing chances are you are still leaking fluid somewhere and all your symptoms of a bad clutch pedal will return.
Danny Z That makes sense. And is a plus because its a much cheaper fix than to replace a throw out bearing because to replace a throw out bearing the trans generally needs dropped and at that point you are looking at the same amount of labor as replacing a clutch. A slave cylinder is about 50 bucks plus install. Much cheaper.
Even our standard UK petrol prices are insane compared to the US. I couldn't believe it when I visited the US for the first time and saw a garage fuel board saying something like '$2.35 a gallon' 😂 In my area it's about £1.30 per litre atm 🙄
I'm looking at some 350s and 370s right now, but the ones I'm looking at are higher miles (100k miles). How high of miles are too high? I heard the VQ engines do a great job with high miles.
So if you don't mind me asking, which insurance company do you use and how much per month do you pay? I'm almost 16 but looking to get a 370z in about a year. Thanks! I appreciate any info!
+Spencer C The insurance I have is Progressive and it will be very high since we are young unless its under someone else’s name, insurance is what kills us haha not the car payment, hope you get it bro good luck 😁
Currently 16 years old about to be 17 in a few months with a full License, I'm wanting to get a 370z in the future for my first car, hopefully next year when I'm 18.
Danny Z forgot to add insurance into his yearly cost. Also keep in mind that as some one under 25 your insurance is going to gut punch you with the premium cost if you buy a sports car, and if you get into an accident then they will ream you with much higher insurance. When I was looking at the cost to insure a 370z it was almost double the cost of my current car. So keep that in mind
+V- lonecion Thanks so much for the support and feedback! I will for sure do more like this and make sure to comment any specific ideas/videos you would like to see in the future!
6000 miles that's not really a lot miles. I would think at 20k miles of ownership to see how will cost to keep a z but each one to his own. I'm just curious what happened to clutch fluid did it leak out? disintegrate? 15.9 I guess u like to step on the gas lol
+Danny Martinez It was also my 1 year of ownership so that’s why i decided to make it. About the clutch fluid.. the slave cylinder(throwout bearing) gave out and the pump wasn’t working so the fluid wasn’t going through and was just leaking out, and the gas mileage is better now but yes haha it’s a Z what can i say 😁
Dark Seraph not many. Just keep checking how it feels before it’s too late. I would get the automatic if it was double clutch. The way it is now is just too slow for me.
So you drive that shit less than half of what normal people drive in a year and then make a review... I've owned my e46 for a little over a year and put on close to 15k on it and did actual maintenance. This video is kind of a waste of time. Also 16 mpg? You drive like shit wtf my e46 coupe gets 27-37 mpg. Obviously a 370 is heavier and has a different engine but you should be getting minimum 20

I get 24.4 mpg all the time. somewhat aggressive driving. lots of highway though.love the car!

Great video man! I’m getting a 370 Z in 2018!! Like your silver with black rims!!
Tires are not a part of repair!
romahahaha - you can get undersized (narrower) rear tires no name brand for cheap. You don't have to spend a thousand dollars on two tires
@@rockefelleragent1357 yes if you want no grip and you want your tires to blow out because of the speed rating
C4 Gaming exactly. if u want dirt cheap tires then use them for drifts n burnouts or whatever. those cheap tires are not for daily driving

+ItAintGaY I ask myself the same thing about the mpg... and haha yeah I turned 18 a bit ago, and people say the same thing about me owning the z lol
After my kn drop ins filter i get 20city 35hiway i was shocked!
mommy and daddy money
ItAintGaY im 22 and i cannot buy 370z even used.. How tf u got 20k to spend used car. U shouldve got new for 31k
you drove the car 6,000 miles in a year and you fill up the tank once a week? i need a calculator cause that shit don't add up
Great video bro . Just got myself a 370z 2012 as well
Keep up the great work
+Raul zuniga Congratulations man enjoy it! And thank you so much appreciate it a ton
I just manually use my toes to pop the clutch back up Ezy
Would you get a 2015 370z Sport with 6k miles for $22k?
Sounds like a good deal
Awesome deal
CSC ZSPEED Z1 swap?
at 4:08 there is a dude just staring at you from behind the car
Lmao that’s creepy
Hey Danny Z no joke that better than owning a crown victoria p71 my throttle body crashed in it causing me about 12-1300$ plus my suspension was fucked running another 2000 at goodyear thankfully tho i sold it before that an got the Z haha
+firesupport Haha that’s crazy man I’m glad you were able to get rid of it and get a Z
bought my 350z 2006 yesterday and day 1 my friend burned the clutch while bringing back to my house lol. im still waiting for diagnostic but its prob the same thing as u.. xd
I fuck with your channel bro, love your content
+Monkey GamingTM Thanks a ton man, it really means a lot

+theripper121 You’re correct sorry for the misunderstanding, we ended up switching the slave cylinder

Nice Z btw. I bet insurance is a killer on it being a young male driver.
theripper121 Thanks man! Haha yeah its a killer
You're lucky, I pay almost £3,500 a year in Petrol in the UK. That's V-power though, but still a lot more than you do.
+Fantic1980 That VQ man haha, but yes i feel lucky now lol
Even our standard UK petrol prices are insane compared to the US. I couldn't believe it when I visited the US for the first time and saw a garage fuel board saying something like '$2.35 a gallon' 😂 In my area it's about £1.30 per litre atm 🙄
Yo did you buy your 370z used and if so how much did you have to pay for it?
+Victor Belardo Yes it was used and it was 20k
I'm looking at some 350s and 370s right now, but the ones I'm looking at are higher miles (100k miles). How high of miles are too high? I heard the VQ engines do a great job with high miles.
Mario Espinosa I wouldn’t recommend buying it with over 75k miles.
So if you don't mind me asking, which insurance company do you use and how much per month do you pay? I'm almost 16 but looking to get a 370z in about a year. Thanks! I appreciate any info!

Didn’t mention the price
What kind of shop did you take it to for the transmission?
+CJ It was actually a general mechanic, but i would take it to someone who specializes on that
Why you look like Blake Griffin?
+Something Funny That’s a first hahaha
Man i need to do a video like this for my g
Mumble Go for it man! It's fun and you also get to calculate how much you've spent haha
Danny Z yeah lol i had my car for about 8 months and i have put about 18k miles lol
Wow! that's crazy
Currently 16 years old about to be 17 in a few months with a full License, I'm wanting to get a 370z in the future for my first car, hopefully next year when I'm 18.
+RaViiC Hero Go for it man! You won't regret it 😁 I wish you the best of luck!
Danny Z forgot to add insurance into his yearly cost.

You ever get the 370z man?
de donde eres??
I've heard the slave cylinders are really shitty on these. You should try a Z1 Slave delete maybe?
+Pericles Underhill Yeah they are, and I’m good as of now but if something happens again i will be considering that
10/10 we need more videos like these
+V- lonecion Thanks so much for the support and feedback! I will for sure do more like this and make sure to comment any specific ideas/videos you would like to see in the future!

These cars are notorious for the CSC
Dark Seraph not many. Just keep checking how it feels before it’s too late. I would get the automatic if it was double clutch. The way it is now is just too slow for me.
Dark Seraph 🤮
15.9? That’s literally worse than a new Scat Pack or Shelby Gt500
I love so much , ❤️❤️

+Eddy love you too bro z fam all the way
