I haven't laughed this much at a RUclips video in a while oml this is amazing!! I'm glad now that I've only watched the 2006 and 2011 versions...but maybe watching this could actually be unintentionally hilarious hahaha
Oh my gosh the proposal kiss interspliced with Andy=MY EXACT REACTION EVERY TIME I'VE BEEN UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO ENDURE THIS FILM! This is the perfect review. 3rd time watching, and it's still just as spectacular. Thank you, Miss Obscure Little Bird!
@@ObscureLittleBird it's always the bad versions that have Rochester singing though (this one and the George Scott one are the only 2 I've seen that do it :/ also yeah. Hinds sings. He was in the POTO movie)
@@tiffanystewart9265 I agree. I just get the vibe that they don't like him so they tried to make St. John look better by comparison. The ending makes me laugh to be honest. You don't feel happy for them. You feel deeply concerned for her. She doesn't even act like she loves him. She just looks grossed out most of the time.
That's very rude to call everything else crap when even in newer versions, there are many faults. 2011 is very dark, gloomy and dreary and those unnecessary flashbacks in 2006 version irritated me. All versions have their strong points and weak points. They all bring their own interpretation of the novel. However the only version in my opinion which respects the novel is 1983. I know 1973 is even more faithful version but I don't like Sorcha Cusack's Jane Eyre at all, and they took all the lines as it is from the novel, which make the conversations between Jane and Rochester very boring to watch.
You missed Dame Wisdom and and Wit (Maggie Smith) saying "Bc I want the pleasure of saying I told you so" and "Must have said it wrong" as Violet Crawley
holy crap "What else do you have to bring to the table? Your charming personality?"

The Sheldon bit killed me😂

Omg I needed someone to rip this version up thank you!
I cannot warm up to this Rochester. I do not find him appealing. He’s shouts and rants. I liked the actor in Persuasion but not in Jane Eyre.
Finally. Someone else who gets that this Rochester is abusive.
The way he pulled her down those stairs.. 😂😂
All Rochester’s are abusive
Not as abusive as this one...
Yeah…creepy!
@@issyjones882 no I have seen all the versions of Jane Eyre and other Rochesters were not this much abusive.
I really thought I was the only person who watched all the "Jane Eyre" productions. Thanks for this. I'm not so lonely now.
Oh, it's a goal of mine to see them all. Even ones as terrible as 1997

I was always under the impression that the William Hurt version was the worst, but after this video...I'm not so sure...
this Rochester is such a creep xDDD
Their acting, especially this Rochester, makes me uncomfortable.
This is the best commentary. Ever.
This version was just awful. Great actors with an awful script and direction. In this version I would tell her to marry St. John.
I always find something funny about all Jane Eyre's movies, and this video represents those all😂thank you very much
My theory for this film is that they wanted to show that Mr. Rochester actually is a creep. It's the only explanation.
But he’s not supposed to be

@@tiffanystewart9265 I'm not really blaming Hind. I've seen him in Persuasion and he was excellent! I blame the director.

P.S. Gotta love "its the same friggin horses that brought her to Thornfield!"
I haven't seen this particular version of Jane Eyre, but after watching your video and LMAO I may just have to.
I think we need this also for the Jane Eyre 1996 version.
And I quite like both Morton and Hines, but... EFR is written so OTT, and Gateshead, and that weird, awful, open-mouthed kiss... brrr!
Honestly I liked this version but your video was hilarious 😂 (yes I read the book)
I love your reviews. And I love your reactions. 🤣 They make me laugh so hard.
Mary didn't exist in the 90's
2006 jane eyer= best version ever
2011 jane eyer= very good version
Everything else= crap
Who agrees?
The best is 1983 with Timothy Dalton and Zelah!
@@rul4522 With you there 100%!
The Zeffirelli version (1996) is good as well! 😉

The ONLY line that he delivered in this movie that I liked was him telling Blanche that the game was over, and he had been outmaneuvered.
I never did like this version of Jane Eyre.
S H E L D O N. LMAO
By the way, Ciaran Hinds (Mr. Rochester), DOES actually sing!
Omg, this is the best cringe-binge I've ever watched :D
