@@Roland85 if someone has misunderstood something, then how would they know not to comment until after their misunderstanding has been pointed out to them?
The Magna Carta, signed in 1215 by King John of England, is a famous historical document that established the principle that everyone, including the king, was subject to the law. However, it did not state that "all men are created equal." This phrase is famously associated with the United States Declaration of Independence, written in 1776.
@@fuzail760And in the Hebrew scriptures, as far back as the 6th century B.C. Heck, Pope Gregory the Great wrote Moralia in Job no later than 595 AD, and says it. The equality of man existed long before the Magna Carta.

Severus was born in Africa but he built the wall as a Roma emperor centuries before carta magna. The urge to insert race into everything is unreal. And he wasn’t even black btw. He was mixed race
Severus wasn't an African he was a Roman, born in Africa, to Roman parents, he never considered himself to be anything other that Roman, and his contemporaries also knew him as a Roman, he became Roman Emperor, and was only able to do so because he was a Roman Patrician, of the senatorial class.

He’s just invented most of what he says here: The principle of "innocent until proven guilty" has deep historical roots, but its codification into law occurred over time through various legal traditions and documents. ### **Ancient and Medieval Origins:** - **Roman Law:** The principle can be traced back to Roman law, particularly in the works of the jurist Julius Paulus Prudentissimus (c. 3rd century AD). He wrote that "proof lies on him who asserts, not on him who denies," which reflects an early form of this concept. - **Medieval European Law:** The principle was further developed in medieval Europe, particularly within the canon law of the Catholic Church. The presumption of innocence was emphasized in various legal traditions, including the English common law. ### **Modern Codification:** - **English Common Law:** In English common law, the presumption of innocence became a fundamental principle, especially with the development of trial by jury. It was not explicitly codified but was a well-established part of the legal tradition by the 17th and 18th centuries. - **France (Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, 1789):** One of the earliest formal codifications of this principle was in France, during the French Revolution. Article 9 of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen states that "Every man being presumed innocent until he has been declared guilty." - **United States (Constitution and Bill of Rights):** While the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights do not explicitly state "innocent until proven guilty," the principle is implied through the Fifth, Sixth, and Fourteenth Amendments. The Supreme Court of the United States later affirmed the presumption of innocence as a fundamental right, most notably in the 1895 case *Coffin v. United States*. ### **International Codification:** - **Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948):** Article 11 of the UDHR, adopted by the United Nations, states that "Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial..." In summary, the idea of being "innocent until proven guilty" has roots in ancient legal traditions but was formally codified in modern law starting with the French Revolution and has since become a cornerstone of legal systems worldwide, particularly in democratic societies.

The armies of Islam quickly and easily conquered the Arabian peninsula before moving on to take the homelands of their various neighbours. In just 70 years they had subdued the whole of North Africa, instituting a new order.

A Golden Age was taking place in the Middle East and other parts of the world were far more advanced. Severus was of pure Italian descent..he was of noble Roman birth merely born in the Roaman North African province..He was extremely ruthless and harsh and could never be judged as a moral or good man by modern morality..His son Caracalla murdered his brother and mother after Severus death in York and then had all his father's advisers and loyal staff beheaded..their remains were found quite recently with their heads cut off One of Severus most loyal servants and the tutor of Severus 2 sons was a black African..he was beheaded just like the others in York and his remains were identified by archaeologists

Severus is a Roman born in what is now Libya. His mother was Fulvia Pia, a woman of Roman descent belonging to the gens Fulvia, an Italian patrician family that originated in Tusculum. Septimius Severus was not the person who founded or built the original walls that protected the city of London (Londinium). The London Wall was originally constructed during the late 2nd century, around AD 190, before Severus became emperor. It was likely commissioned by earlier Roman authorities as part of the fortification of Londinium, which was an important city in Roman Britain. there is a historical association between Severus and the London Wall because some parts of the wall were likely repaired or enhanced during his reign (193-211 AD), hence the occasional reference to him in connection with the wall. The wall was built primarily to defend the city from external threats, and Severus, during his reign, was involved in various military campaigns to secure Roman control in Britain and elsewhere in the empire. In short, Severus did not found or build the London Wall, but he may have been involved in its reinforcement or maintenance. The wall itself was a product of Roman urban planning to protect one of their key cities in Britain.
Septimius Severus was born in Libya, but that doesn't make him anymore black than a black man born in Sweden, white. Elon Musk was born in South Africa... he's white.

Sometime between 190 and 225, the Romans built the London Wall, a defensive ragstone wall around the landward side of the city. The London Wall was one of the largest construction projects carried out in Roman Britain, requiring somewhere in the region of 85,000 tons of Kentish ragstone to complete.

The principle of equality before the law has its origins in the principle of isonomy defined by Cleisthenes in the 6th century BC, which forms one of the foundations of Athenian democracy.
Gonna say our history before 250 BC isn't very accurate. Apparently Cleisthenes of Athens was written by 'Pythagorean brotherhood'. There is no direct written record or text from Pythagoras himself explicitly laying out the principle of isonomy or "equality before the law." Writings of his later followers and members of the Pythagorean brotherhood, none of which were written by Pythagoras himself. Accounts about Pythagoras from ancient historians and philosophers like Porphyry, Iamblichus, Diogenes Laertius and others who lived centuries after Pythagoras. - These secondary sources suggest that among the doctrines supported by Pythagoras - However, the exact phrase "isonomy" and its modern formulation as a legal/political theory did not originate from any text written by Pythagoras himself. Later writers inferred and extrapolated this principle from the general philosophical positions and teachings attributed to Pythagoras and his followers. So in summary, while Pythagoras may have espoused beliefs in line with isonomy, we do not have any of his own writings explicitly defining or detailing this specific concept. It was reconstructed from second-hand accounts written long after his death.
The first time there was a written statement about men being equal was in the Cyrus Cylinder inscription around 2600 years ago. It's held in the british Museum and has inspired the UN charter of human rights.

In 1215, the ruler of England was King John, who was deeply unpopular. He was involved in the murder of his nephew, he fell out with the church AND he lost territory he inherited, through military defeats. I was a security guard at the British Library. They had the Magna Carter on display and a whole exhibition about it. Wondering around the exhibition and listening to information about the Magna Carta stuck with me. It was transferred to the British Library by someone casually carrying it in a backpack on the London underground train. The Magna Carter was lost for a long time until someone found it in a tailor shop as spare sheep skin. The tailor was going to cut it down to size and use it as a shirt collar.

Although Septimus Severus was African & born in Africa(Carthage) which had been a Roman Province since the end of the Punic Wars for about 300 years before Septimus Severus was born , Carthage was founded by a group of peoples who traveled by sea ( Phoenicians) also how Rome was founded around 800 bc by the remnants of the Trojans after the famous Trojan War where Achilles fame comes from, Septimus Severus parents were also from this province they had Carthaginian ancestry and they identified with this culture over the native Numidian culture that had already been there before the Phoenicians and have lasted there far longer.
The Phoenicians were a Semitic people. The Greeks (who called themselves Hellenics) wrote about the Phoenicians distinctly. They were the ancestors of the Lebanese and Palestinian people.

Nationalise resources and give Indigenous peoples the right of Sovereignty over them as Guardians.
This can be achieved through a General Strike or Velvet Revolution, much like the Occupy movement, peacefully occupying State Buildings until a People's Mandate can be implemented.
With the appropriate checks and balances, you could have a national digital forum where qualified professionals can debate the issues in a public setting without all the disinformation and bad faith antics, hatespeech etc.
Any vote would need to pass the 70% threshold, with a veto or _rewrite_ vote needing 30%.
The issues would be debated, the public educated, and then a vote taken. Votes that fail will have to wait a year before trying again. Any new proposal (Citizen Initiated Referendum) would have to reach a threshold of support before it made it onto the register.
This would be subject to a Social Contract (New Constitution) that forbids human rights abuses and discrimination.
That can be written in the same manner based on the core principles we all share. Councils and Boards could operate in the same fashion at Scale.
It works in a way that obligates people to better educate themselves ( that is to use logic and evidence in their reasoning ) for a better understanding of the issues, and then take collective responsibility for the outcomes. He’s just invented most of what he says here:
The principle of "innocent until proven guilty" has deep historical roots, but its codification into law occurred over time through various legal traditions and documents.
### **Ancient and Medieval Origins:**
- **Roman Law:** The principle can be traced back to Roman law, particularly in the works of the jurist Julius Paulus Prudentissimus (c.
### **Modern Codification:**
- **English Common Law:** In English common law, the presumption of innocence became a fundamental principle, especially with the development of trial by jury. It was not explicitly codified but was a well-established part of the legal tradition by the 17th and 18th centuries.
- **France (Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, 1789):** One of the earliest formal codifications of this principle was in France, during the French Revolution. Article 9 of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen states that "Every man being presumed innocent until he has been declared guilty."
- **United States (Constitution and Bill of Rights):** While the U.S.
### **International Codification:**
- **Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948):** Article 11 of the UDHR, adopted by the United Nations, states that "Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial..."
In summary, the idea of being "innocent until proven guilty" has roots in ancient legal traditions but was formally codified in modern law starting with the French Revolution and has since become a cornerstone of legal systems worldwide, particularly in democratic societies.

In just 70 years they had subdued the whole of North Africa, instituting a new order.
He quotes England in 1200. Back then England was a literal dump with mostly peasants working for nobility. A Golden Age was taking place in the Middle East and other parts of the world were far more advanced.

Sometime between 190 and 225, the Romans built the London Wall, a defensive ragstone wall around the landward side of the city. The London Wall was one of the largest construction projects carried out in Roman Britain, requiring somewhere in the region of 85,000 tons of Kentish ragstone to complete.
Wrong. Many Roman cities in Britain built such walls, London was no different. Greater constructions included many forts & fortresses all over the country.

The principle of equality before the law has its origins in the principle of isonomy defined by Cleisthenes in the 6th century BC, which forms one of the foundations of Athenian democracy.
The Hebrew Bible.
- These secondary sources suggest that among the doctrines supported by Pythagoras -
However, the exact phrase "isonomy" and its modern formulation as a legal/political theory did not originate from any text written by Pythagoras himself.
