Very slick ! Obviously made of metal. Great for vacation homes and wildfire protection. Nothing can stop everything, but this can help slowdown burglars and help with wildfires. It would have been nice to see what it looks like from the outside.
I feel there has to be a physical lock of some sort which could not be hacked electronically, as in these times where keyless-entry cars are being stolen.
There's a keyed look at the bottom once they lock out electronically, but I feel you, there should be a manual override shutter opener/closer, and a manual lock for extreme safety
Very popular in the Caribbean, myself being a fabricator. They can be manually operated or motorized. Motorized ones can be operated via a switch or remote control.
Wont do you any good if the house is one of those cardboard, stick built houses. In Florida, the newer houses are built like a fortress. concrete from all sides sometimes even layered with brick veneer. If the owner has a lot of money, they would install impact windows then have these kinds of roller blinds outside for even more protection. But its not thieves or intruders they are worried about but devastating hurricanes. Now those are the SHTF houses.
You seriously need to learn how to hold the camera. Got headache just watching this. Thanks for sharing though - I got here right after watching Season 1 of The Purge. Daimn

First of all they are probably made out of plastic because most of these are. There are wooden models too. Only really expensive ones are mads of aluminium. Up until now, I believe america wasn't a violent place such as germany, so there's not much to brag about german houses. Plus americans usually are more about the security alarms, aka noise makers, or using self protection devices such as fire arms versus barricading themselves inside. I guess it's the feeling of claustrophobia plagues them something fierce.

I love that haha it's not mine just some rich person's I worked on but good point... If it was 1/8" though it may be, 1/4" would be .50 proof and think if they thought about that the owner would think about fire too maybe?

Plot twist: he's a burglar who broke past the security and he's in there playing with the shutters.
What happens if there is a power outage ? Likely to happen.
Link it up to a generator or some back up system he needs to watch new Rambo for some ideas
Generator
There’s got to be an override because that’s obviously a safety issue, fire for one.
Solar power panel on the roof
Manual switch over.
In europe my whole village got these, they're just blinds
Who installed it / how much?
No idea who, and my guess is a couple thousand, maybe $3000-$3500 range
Are you in Arizona near Usery Mountain?

Wow! I love these security shutters!
Could you share the manufacturer of these shutters?
Umm how do you get out if there's a fire and the power is out? Or do you just intend to stay in there and burn?

In europe, this is not a security shutter but just shutters to add to replace curtains.
I don’t understand how that would work in a power outage or if somebody tried to hack this. There is nothing like a manual shutter.
What if the power is turned off?
Is the entire outside fire-proof?
I guess then they wouldn't go up or down, and almost no building is enitrely fireproof
There's manual switch over.
Do you have the blickdomi system to control the blind with the smartphone?
we have those here in Argentina, every house has it, just not electric, we use a belt, we call them Persiana
If i have this is would use it every night
What brand is this?!
Are they on the outside or the inside of the windows? Also where can I get these exact one's?
I believe the outside, and you can call window companies in your area haha, they should have them or know exactly where that's close to you
they are outside attache to the windows
That is so cool
Who intaled, and we're are you,it's free cuote and measure and how much thank you Anna

Thanks haha I'm getting better about that as time goes by, I'm still considered a beginner cameraman haha;)
Roller shutters?
Hahaha its so funny to watch an American reacting to to most usual thing in Europe 😂
Here in America home invasions end in the intruder being shot. I looked at these for storms but not for attackers.

What about the windows up by the ceiling? Can a person fit through those?
Jesus, I'm getting physically ill from your camera skills, Hold the damn thing steady.
So sorry for that. I've been getting better with that lately.. Thanks for watching!
What
Name brand of shutters?
Cool but u have 2 have them up all the time, dont have time after your door gets kicked in. Bars, dogs and loaded guns more practical.
Going by your own video, you seem easily impressed by window roller shutters that DON'T close or seal properly.
Impressed or exhilarated right? Haha weird I do this for a living and would be super impressed by minimal grade shutters anyways ;)

Go search them

I’d just burn down the house from the outside
