@HayesMobileAutoRepair good evening sir, i just replaced the fuel pump on my expedition 2003 eddibauer 5.4. after 10 minutes driving it shut off, no check engine light or codes, i checked the voltage on the connectors also on the green wire that goes to the fuel pump there's 12v,,, the fuel pump is priming intermittently two or 3 times when you turn on the key and then 2 or tr3 times don't do nothing and fuel pressure keeps on zero due to the lack of priming,, do you think the new pump is not good and i should replace it again or you think the fuel box is the problem and is losing voltage. ? how did you got fix this expedition because mine is doing the same thing ,, thank you so much, ans excuse mi english im doing mi best.
I spent a few days last week taking apart my fuse panel to access the motherboard. I ordered a new fuse online and then took it a place in town that works on motherboards. They soldered on the new rely fuse. I replaced all my other other fuses and my Expedition only ran for a day. Now it's not starting at all. It cranks over but won't start. Any advice is much appreciated.
there are lot of ways and places were it is possible to disable a vehicle.. what do you want to disable, fuel or spark. then get wiring schematic and put a switch in.. idk. that a difficult question to answer via text. :)

Joyce Elam Wow, first of all you need to get your battery charged up and checked.. The next thing you would need to do is check for fuel getting to your motor and check for spark at the spark plugs... once you do that you will have a direction.. The Ford expedition you can check fuel pressure underneath the hood on the fuel rail with the key in the on position it’s should squirt out fuelBut it’s best to use a fuel pressure gauge and you can rent those at the part store
Try the fuse link or the alternator. I had those same problems with my 04 Eddie Bauer. Sometimes it could be a fuse. Just in case you’re still having problems.
@Joyce Elam: I know this is 2 years old, but I would really like to know what it took to fix your car. I think you got a good answer at the time about the battery, being not charged. NO, NO, NO, you can see fuel pump relay, between other relays, it is a middle one, and yes, you can solder new relay in, cost you only $8-12 from ebay !!! Ford uses cheap Chinese relays, and one you will buy, make sure , it is made in Korea!!! Nothing else is wrong with that fuse box, DON'T BUY A NEW ONE= $400-500!!!! Just take it out, open it, desolder bad relay and put better one in , you are done !!! Done that, works great !!!!NO programming needed !
if only people had more than one vehicle to wait days for a relay to come in the mail.. in my opinion its much cheaper to go to a salvage yard and buy one for 75 bucks or buy a new one somewhere...and install it in less than 30 mins. you not going to find a lot of people that are going to take the time to disassemble the fuse box, then do soldering.. lol its just not cost effective or logical when you have to get it running today... but yes, that is another way
OK, thanks for your replay, happy you actually agree with me!! People should not be afraid of solder, or they could ask some of their friend to do it!!! Cheap way, only $12.00=) That junk yard piece will be bad next 2 weeks;o) So, just order new relay, Made in Korea!!!, and you'll be fine !!!
