I can’t believe I just saw a concert on tiny desk even more powerful than Erykah singing Green Eyes. Unbelievable. Glad she gave Erykah the shoutout, and that bag lady riff was just perfect. Talent recognizing talent. It’s so refreshing to see serious artistry in new music, and it’s so sad that that’s even been a problem these days. Witnessing a generational talent develop is so special. We’re all so lucky to be in that position. Alright, now I’m gonna go watch green eyes again. Peace to everybody
I have had this performance on repeat since i first heard it. Shes phenomenal so new and FRESH. Loved your review btw but you need to sort out the quality of the music somehow at the minute it sounds like its coming from a hallway. Your vocals are nice and clear though.

She was inspired by Kendrick as she mentioned in an interview, he infused a lot of jazz with rap in his earlier albums.
@ Kendrick isn’t the only rapper and artist to use jazz. She’s paying homage to older jazz influences .
