It must be a huge downer when you work so hard all week and even way before that to get the car ready for the first big race of the season and you get taken out before you even get to turn the wheel. Now I know why people in F1 and all other race series get so frustrated when things don't go right in a race, takes alot of work. Congrats on the 1000k tho 👍
In decision modeling the correct decision does not always have positive outcomes. For the purposes of growth and moving forward, it does not particularly matter whos fault a given outcome is, if you would not have made any different decisions based on your field of inputs, and there were no other inputs you could have accessed to make a different decision, then there is nothing to learned -- you made the correct decisions and simply had bad luck. It happens. There is a particularly smart and well spoken woman by the name of Annie Duke (Ph.D. Psychologist and very successful former professional poker player) that has written quite a bit about this. I think you might find her methods useful for accessing these types of situations. Anyway, hope to see you on the podium in the next one.
I feel like you're getting the female treatment in racing where the guys race you like assholes, because "a girl doesn't belong in top level motorsports...." It's bullshit. Deegan is getting the same shit in Nascar trucks currently, Danica got it in Indy car, and all of Nascar series. As a father of 4 girls who all like watching motorsports. Prove them wrong. "Keep pushing" is real. For all the little girls out there that want to be in motorsports. Keep fighting the good fight.
