    What is the type of glue you used for the foam

      @RooNelo  4 года назад

      I used Krazy glue, but any fast drying super glue will work fine.

    What are you using to twist the wire?

    • @RooNelo
      @RooNelo  2 года назад +1

      It’s an engineering tool my dad had laying around. The name slips my mind at the moment. But you can also tape the ends of wire together and put them into any power drill for the same result. Just hold the opposite end with some pliers.

      @@RooNelo Thank you! If you remember the tool, let us know!

      I was able to find the tool. It’s from equipment called a laboratory stirrer. What I used is just stripped down to the motor and a keyless chuck. Hope this helps!

    I tried needle felting too but it takes a loooot of time and I keep poking myself with the needles. 😄 Yours turned out lovely!

    I was thinking this but never tried so building body in foam can cut a day in half of felting and save my fiber
    Noice

      Yea, although if you want to have a firm foundation, I wouldn’t use foam. I believe some use poly fiber fill as a core to save on wool. I haven’t tried it myself though.

    Great tutorial! I do stop motion animation with clay, and I’ve been considering experimenting with felt armatures. What do you use for the felt/fleece, whichever it’s called (I am not very familiar with needle felt armatures). Thanks :)

      DhillyDally Films Thanks! The type of material you want is wool. The 2 types I use are roving wool and batting wool. I buy from here: greyfoxfelting.com/
      There are also plenty of wool sellers on sites like Etsy. You'll also want to get special needles made for needle felting. As well as a foam mat (I use upholstery foam, it's the light green rectangle in the vid).
      If you want to do a simpler method, I've also seen puppets made with sheets of felt. They make patterns and sew them up as clothing to put over the armature.
      Hope this helps.

    • @RooNelo

      potajoe It’s high density upholstery foam. You can find it at craft stores such as Hobby Lobby or Joann Fabrics.
