Thanks for shearing the sheep on that stand,, I did think it would be good for hobby sheep holders so they could shear themselves and I’d say easy on the back ❤ Thanks again for showing it
You made it look not so hard , love your table . I am sorry wool is not a great commodity .it should be so much you can do with it . Nice job . Thankyou for showing us . You clip of one of your attempts ,. priceless .funny cute.
You have a really nice invention. As anyone who gets older knows, stooping down gets harder and harder. Have you thought of putting some big diameter wheels on making it easier to move around?
Thank you 👍. I assumed most of the work would be around shed or yard so I put smaller diameter wheels to make it a little more compact. Maybe something I could fit if somebody asks...👌
Very good job, David. Just one tip: If you have the sheep's head fully extended (raise the headlock just a little in her case), it will help stretch out the skin and reduce the opportunity for nicks on the neck and chest. But you did great!
@@sheepschool365 It can be even more challenging with a ewe that drying up. But she was in really good condition. It's difficult to ALWAYS keep the skin as tight as it needs to be--even with a ewe in good condition.
Wonderful video. Super shearing job. I just thought about shearing standing up, and wow in 5mins I found you. I'm in Australia which makes things tough. How much to ship a sheep headstock to Leongatha, Australia, please? Any chance you could just ship the headstock only (I could find a square section etc here). Douglas ps My Irish ancestors (not related/ married to each other) arrived in Sydney in 1830 (gggm MaryAnn Maguire from Dublin & gggrandfather John Lawrence Quinn from Dundalk).
Exactly why I decided to make them 👌 An older neighbour with a bad back really struggles to do anything with his sheep especially prolapse problems so I made one for him..

I think hobby sheep holders have a problem getting shearers to call for small numbers ..
@@sheepschool365 my local has 40 ewes and it cost him €120 to shear
I told him about your stand
He thinks it’s a good idea
Great bit of kit
Impressive equipment, enjoy the break. Looking forward to a long video next week 👍
Thanks! Will do!

I think this is a great idea. Backs get so much work in traditional sheering.
I know it's all about technique but the work shearers do is unbelievable...
Oh poop only a 7 minute video this week!! 😭😭😭😭 i Hope next weeks video is longer!!Thank you for sharing! 😊
You don’t mind a whinge do you
Sorry it was short.. next weeks will definitely be longer 👌
Well made dressing stand , and you made a good job of the clipping , once you get the weight of the wool over her back you were flying. Great stuff.
Thanks Emmett. 2nd side definitely easier...👍
Looks much easier on the back!👍
Definitely easier for an inexperienced shearer. One sheep and my back is usually in bits.

Great idea. Well executed!
Thank you 👍
Nice bit of kit
Thanks 👍
Great video David it’s a great sheep stand 👌
Thank you Gary 👌
Morning david. You did well to get the fleece off in the full. Starting at the neck is probably a good idea. Well made bit of kit
Easiest bit of shearing I've ever done!
Ha. I use a headlock to do my rams following one kicking 3 of my lower teeth out! @sheepschool365

Thank you Craig, I did find the crinkles on the neck a bit more challenging...

Cracking video as always
Glad you enjoyed it
