They say that her element might change since it would be too early for another ice dps agent to come out. Powercreep is real, but it's way too early, so an ekement change would probably be the best option unless her kit offers something that doesn't easily powercreep ellen
A bunch of upcoming element/character type combinations for the rest of the year leaked, and ice attack is still on it. I'd say the leak is reliable since it came out before confirmation about the 1.1 characters, and it has all of their archetypes on there.

Looking at this now we the amount of really greeat looking animations we've got from newer charas not introduced during beta I lowkey hope they changed her kit a bit if only to match the newer characters when it comes to animation
I'm pretty sure they introduced the most badass character in the whole game and then decided to holdoff on putting her in a banner to make us go crazy on trying to get her when she does come out. Meanwhile we get all these other losers popping up every time and I just get to sit 'n spin while I wait for the only character I wanted since the beginning.

Limited 5* stars are actually easy to get, even for f2p there should be enough free primogems for at least 2 limited characters. The problem is if she is a standard 5* like Keqing, there's no guarantee you will get her. Someone spent $2000 to get Keqing back then because it's all based on luck when it comes to the standard banner.
Because they weren’t playing the character optimally. If you read the description of her basic attack, you don’t get ice damage until the 4th hit of her attack string. They were interrupting the combo by dashing needlessly all the time. They also didn’t use her sub attack that uses the 3 stacks under the health bar once in the entire video lol

the trailer made her look way more badass. her sword is not even glowing much or long on the field just for a split second in the ult animation. That's a bummer. She is this typical small, cute samurai, lots of the same ole slashing animation you've already seen in 10 other games before. Her gameplay really does look a bit underwhelming. I'd rather pick zhu over her.

For now just progress on to the story then at some point you will automatically get 8 characters including her.
