- New: W4 Baitcaster reels, designed & developed in Denmark!
The new W4 Baitcasters are available in sizes 50, 100, 200 & 300, in left- and right-handed models as well as SSG (SlowSpeed), MSG (MediumSpeed) and HSG (HighSpeed) versions from Jan. 1st 2024.
Tried and tested by Team Westin anglers Luc Coppens, Dietmar Isaiasch, Daniel Nilsson, Jörgen Larsson, Toon van Ham, Thom Hunt andy many more!

Ive bought this reel yesterday and when i put 2 brakes on its seems to get very stiff when reeling is this normal . Any help would be appreciated
Hi.. No, that´s not normal. Please check if you have tightened the small tension knob too much. And see if it still happens when you activate 3 or 4 pins of the centrifugal break. If yes, please take this topic to your dealer.
How about reel parts availability for your products?

If only you colaborated with Shimano/ Daiwa I would be interested and would consider spending 300€ on it, this way I just see it as abother sub par doyo reel.

Another OEM DOYO reel….
We designed and developed both W4 and W6 baitcasting reel ranges in Denmark, with our in-house product developers and tested the reels together with guys like Daniel Nilsson, Luc Coppens, Toon van Ham, Dietmar Isaiasch, Thom Hunt, and many, many more! It´s no OEM reel, we are Westin and in-house product development is one of the most important cornerstones of our brand. We suggest you take a look at the reels at your local tackle store before you judge too quickly 😉
@@westinfishing first of all….you seem a bit offended. I think we should have a more honest understanding concerning the term development. If you want to get a feeling, what development means, take a look at your neighbor Sweden. There is a small company called SVIVLO entering the market with 2 new baitcaster ( Genesis and Draken). Both of them outfitted with a completely new brake technology (cast guard). This is what I would call development. As far as I was able to look at your reel, there is not even one feature which doesn’t already exist on the market. Neither the brake system,nor the frame or sideplate material and so on. In my understanding, it is no development choosing from a box of options provided by a manufacturer to assemble a somewhat individual reel. This is just design. In addition, I wouldn‘t be surprised, if your reel is made in Korea which I unfortunately wasn‘t able to proof as information is quite sparse currently. I apologize if I offended you but I still would hold on to my primary statement.

@@jonasmostrom9636 yes, I realized it as well meanwhile and I absolutely agree with your conclusion. In addition….the pricing of these reels is embarrassing!
