  • Shotguns are very versatile. With the proper training and ammo these tools can be very devastating. Here are a few simple drills you can work on at the range or at home using snap caps.

This was selling for under $400.00, decided to buy it since it was a folding stock. It’s made in Turkey by Stoeger. Since the company is owned by Benelli it should be a decent shotgun. The one thing people will notice is it lacks a nice durable matte finish and uses plastic sights. I purchased a Benelli Supernova Tactical after. For the extra $100.00 the Benelli is a much better option than the Stoeger 3000 Freedom.
You get what you paid for.

Hey brother, thanks for the video. I have only seen one other video for this version of the shotgun on the tube (and it wasn't even close to being as informative). I appreciate your taking the time to do it. Even the so-called, online reviews, don't give anything more than the basic characteristics as listed by Stoeger. I liked how you showed the sights and demonstrated your shooting techniques. The one thing I wish you would have demonstrated was how the stock adjusts in the six different ways. I think most people understand how the cheek rest works and the folding of the stock, but I know that I wasn't aware of how the stock itself adjusted until I got mine. There just isn't anything out there that shows its versatility and I find that to be a pretty cool feature. Maybe sometime you can do a follow-up video and show how that works. Just a thought. Anyway, good job, keep up the good work.

    • @dabhaskie2243

The folding stock on the Freedom P3000 gets in the way of putting the side saddle on the other side. If you do put it opposite of the ejection port, with Velcro, you can still fold the stock, but only if you don't have a shell card attached, so at that point it is pretty much a useless gesture unless you always keep the stock locked in the shoulder firing position with a card attached. I've been looking to figure a good way to attach a side saddle to this shotgun, and having it on the ejection port side just may be the way to go. Thanks, Primetime, for the idea!

I'm interested in specifics about the shotgun. Where it's made, how many of the parts/pieces are plastic, any problems/issues with the gun?

    • @primetimetacticaltraining
      @primetimetacticaltraining  3 года назад +3

The P3000 Freedom Series Supreme is American made and has a pistol grip, along with a six-position telescoping rear stock that has an adjustable cheek rest. The stock also folds for compact storage and has an extended capacity, seven-round tube-fed magazine, plus one in the chamber. The shotgun has a cross-bolt safety, and the sights are ghost-ring style. I haven’t had any issues with it as of yet, but I’ve only put about 200 shells through it. Before I purchased the shotgun I was looking for a Remington 870, but they were hard to find. I later on found out that the company Remington went bankrupt and that was the reason why. I purchased the shotgun for around $460. Stoeger P3000 Freedom Series Supreme Features:
Gauge: 12
Action: Pump
Chambering: 2 3/4 and 3-inch shells
Capacity: 7 rounds
Barrel Length: 18 1/2 inches
Overall Length: 40.50 inches
Weight: 7.3 pounds
Stock: Six-position, telescoping (3 3/4 inch adjustment)
Barrel Finish: Blued
Chokes: Fixed cylinder
Sights: Ghost-ring rear, blade front
Length-of-Pull: 14 1/8 inches
Drop at Heel: 2 1/2 inches
Drop at Comb: 1 1/2 inches

I copied this from a description of this shotgun on a vendors page. "Combined the solid operating system of the P3000 and paired it with select US manufactured components to extend capacity of P3000 shotgun which is 922R compliant." I'm pretty sure it's made in Turkey. Still would like to know how many parts are plastic besides the stocks.
