@Rj3k244 That happened to me once but it wasn't a theater kid!!! (maybe former theater kid) I was Ariel in our High School show of The Little Mermaid and this grown ass woman sang so loud over me on the quiet part. I felt like my chance was over. But, then I got to witness security dragging her out so that was funny lol!

Once In middle school one of our dances was supposedly going to be there same night at opening night for our show, while we were talking about in a class how it was causing conflict a girl said we were over reacting , but really? We worked so hard for this production and there was so many things about it, even though it is a middle school play I remember someone stated that they want the experience because the Drama Club is different in middle school than high school and it's true. I know that girl didn't know how much theater works but I felt kind of shocked that she said that, she plays sports so imagine if a big game happened the same night of a dance? I bet she wouldn't like to think she was over reacting

In high school, they forced us to push our shows out because the football team won more than was originally expected by the coaches and the directors. And at one point we had to do a Friday night live show on a Thursday so they wouldn't coincide. To say the least, no one showed up because of the change in dates.

I did a musical and the feedback from most of my family was similar to this. A friend of mine and one of my cousins were the only ones who really understood because they both were doing musicals as well

*not me or any of my friends are anywhere near theatre kids or fans but we went to go see Six together in like a Friday night and it was like the best experience I had with them. We went to dinner and sung along to the soundtrack on the way home.*
