Well, I don’t know much about moving vents. By not having a back panel to the cabinet, there is still some air flow from the vent. Thanks for watching!
I had thought about this when planning the build (chain or wooden stop or even gas struts) but never landed on a solution. The basket fit tight into the space and I didn't want it to catch on anything when being taken out or put back in. Luckily, we haven't had it fall to the floor ever. The angle to open it and throw something in isn't enough to pull it the floor. There seems to be enough weight at the bottom, that it will pull itself closed if you completely let go of it (which we don't really do). Thanks for the comment/question!
I used 3/4” plywood for the cabinet box, 1x4 select pine and 1/4” plywood for the doors, and a repurposed red oak stair tread for the top. Thanks for watching!
I'm a teeny tiny bit jealous. Okay, really, really jealous!
Why cover heat vent up instead of first moving it

Legit! So professional!
Thanks! Do you need any custom furniture? 😄
so you have to hold on to the laundry door or it falls to the floor while putting in clothes? Why wasn't a stop installed? Just curious

Great craftsmanship! This reminds me of those slim line cabinets from ikea. Can't wait to see what you build next 😀
Thank you! 😊
What kind of hinges did you used for the hamper cabinet
I used regular cabinet door hinges. 3/4” overlay. Mounted them like a normal cabinet door, just on the bottom of the face frame.
What material did you use?

Thanks Dan! Hope you're doing well!
