Macy's dad is the one who knows Thorne the least, but the dad seems to be the only one (apart from the 3 conspirators (Stephanie can't know, Macy can't know)) who reads Thorne correctly.
Thorne speaking about Macy like about some pawn... *You can't expect me to marry HER*. Like she's some insignificant object in his life he can move away, so he can be with a woman dreaming about his brother. Waiting for the scene where it collapses and Thorne learns she stills have feelings for Ridge, oh, it was so nice to see him devastated.😂 You reap what you sow.
*Season 8 and Season 13: Brooke and Amber* As we're watching Season 8 alongside Season 13, it's hard not to see comparisons and notice certain parallels. For instance, the way Amber is putting on a show of a happy family, knowing that Kimberly is watching and having the two families as spectators too. This is very much like what we're currently seeing in Season 8, where Brooke was putting on a show of her happy family with Ridge and the kids for Taylor's benefit and once again the Forresters and the Spectras were also in attendance. Indeed in both cases, it's all happening at the site of Thorne and Macy's wedding! (only in Season 8 they actually get happily married) And in both cases, the facade doesn't last. Brooke's family portrait is torn asunder later that very evening when Rick and CJ get into a fight and all the skeletons of Eric Jr's paternity are exposed. And soon Amber's family portrait will be ruined as well, once again in a storyline involving Rick and CJ (and Kimberly and Becky) where the skeletons of Little Eric's paternity (and maternity!) are also exposed. This parallel makes Amber seem like the new Brooke, which is the obvious comparison but there are important differences. As I wrote in episode 3192, Amber’s relationship with Tawny is a mirror of Taylor’s relationship with Stephanie and indeed Amber is also supported by Stephanie. That prevents Amber from fully becoming the new Brooke and thus prevents Brooke from becoming the new Stephanie but nevertheless, Amber remains a Bad Girl who’s not a Villain which is very much the space Brooke has always occupied.
Great observation! It's really interesting to me how much value is actually _added_ by watching these two seasons at once, because so much that happens in Season 13 is based on plot points that were already in play in Season 8 - Brooke's relationships with Ridge and Eric and the tension that leads to between Brooke's "first and second choices", Thorne and Macy's history, the way Rick is affected by his complicated childhood, the Brooke/Amber parallels, the Spectra/Forrester dynamic, and so on. It's clear that Season 13 has a very strong foundation in the show's history.
@@annieo6527 Yes exactly! The show definitely has a set of formulas it recycles and the trick is whether they make them feel fresh and how good the story structure and archetypes are. Season 13 _benefits_ from comparisons to Season 8.
@@NewYorkNick0607 yes, and I think part of that is in the "double narrative" quality - because Season 13 is _in itself_ ambiguous in its "reality", watching it with the show's history (Season 8) as a point of reference actually _creates an interpretation_ of the narrative in Season 13.
Biggest differences: Ridge wants to be with Brooke. Eric. Jr. doesn't really like Amber. Also Amber knows that child isn't hers or Rick's. Brooke thinks Bridget is Ridge's child and both of the kids are Brooke's.
Thorne's expression is like "How DARE you try to make me accept a proposal from a woman who has loved me all of her life, when I want to be with the woman who has slept with my brother and father! The arrogance!"
Kids often might get a Christmas present they _have not asked for_ _do not really want_ but still will smile and play with that present a bit. But yes, this is going to be a *_Christmas present_* that Thorne does not want to open or keep.
Everything Eric is saying to Thorne, about how he has been exactly where Thorne is now, is _absolutely true._ Eric is connecting the current storyline, with its unreliable narrative, to the show's _actual_ history for all of us to see.
This is exactly it. Everyone is so caught up in Stephanie's feelings and Stephanie's health and how she can't have any stress, that they are completely forgetting that Macy also has feelings, and _also_ has a health issue which makes her sensitive to stress.
@@-Lily7415 I believe that deep down Thorne actually does love Macy, though. He was very eager to marry her just a few months ago (at which point he had been pursuing her for years). Then Brooke happened and somehow he completely lost himself in her. Thorne is deeply infatuated with Brooke and confuses this new excitement with love. But Macy does deserve better than the man Thorne is right now.
@@annieo6527but I can't see what Brooke deserves. Each time she is "in love" is for a man who has strings, or commitment or he is mourning some wife, or she marries men she doesn't love. Watching the show again it really seems that she has the difficult role of the intruder and of course only a man in her heart but Ridge can't really love her till the second Taylor's dea th.
When these people aren't uncannily reading each other's minds ("I can tell something's bothering you..") they are utterly oblivious even when the person has a look of cartoon horror on their face 😂 So stupid
Having macy leave the show not long after this was such a bad idea. Of course, Brooke was involved in yet another relationship to nowhere, and ruined a man's life-not to mention Macys.
The thumbnail has Thorne looking like he’s turning into a werewolf.
He was so hot back in the day.
He makes some funny faces, its why I clicked on the picture lol.
He also gets a southern accent when he gets mad.
Thorne: “You don’t know how it is with Brooke!”
Eric: “Yes, I do! I’ve been there!”
me, snickering like a teenage boy: “Yeah, literally.”
Macy's dad is the one who knows Thorne the least, but the dad seems to be the only one (apart from the 3 conspirators (Stephanie can't know, Macy can't know)) who reads Thorne correctly.
Yes! Adam has Thorne's number. The way he is monitoring him throughout the scene.
He should have stayed and stand up to Brooke and Thorne.

Yes. And up until only a few months ago he _did_ want to marry her, after pining for her for years all through her marriage to Grant.
I do not understand how anyone would want Brook when they could have Macy
Your so right about that
One of the best episodes was him getting his karma
@@songriver1232 And Brooke crying her eyes out in the rain

Yeah. One woman risked her life for him - twice, the other woman married his family members - twice. It's such a difficult choice isn't it?🙄

Surprise weddings are NEVER a good idea.
Who tries to guilt someone into a surprise wedding?
At least Eric admits that Brooke using them wasn’t intentional.” she doesn’t even know she’s doing it”
She knows
Ridge Eric I lost count how many times they get together and throne.
Thorne is so handsome 😍
He’s 🔥🔥🔥! Ridge who??
Ridge to the rescue - but too late. Eric, Taylor and Ridge have spent too much time away from the rest. The "fun" has already started.

Brooke always desperate and delusional
