I ran across your video this morning. Ironically, I had just posted a yt short about my interactions with the baby goats when I was there a year ago. Fortunately, none tried to bite me - they just liked to lick. You captured the essence of this beautuful ranch very well. I too loved staying in one of those great tents. The quiet sunrise was soooo tranquil. Adventure ON!
What a wonderful vlog Laura! What a place,Soo peaceful, and the sunset and the sunrise.Delicious food.A perfect retreat.I want to wish you a merry, merry Christmas Laura. Thanks for all the amazing vlogs you share with us!
Laura this is a fabulous video. I really want to go to Loreto. I can fly there from Tucson by way of Phoenix via American Airlines/American Eagle. thank you so much for this video
It's owned by Christy Walton, so yes. I'll be honest, that did make me worry, but honestly, the work that is being done here is incredible and from the research I've done, the staff are being paid above and beyond what could be imagined for ranchers in Baja. The conservation efforts are immense and her love for Baja is clear in the work that's being done here.
It is indeed $400 per person, making it ideal for a solo gal who wants some peace! 😂 The price includes everything while you're there - three meals plus snacks all from the ranch and cooked to perfection, it also includes one activity per day plus additional free activities that are offered around the ranch. You can also come to ranch and just participate in some activities without staying overnight - a lot of the mountain biking and hiking day tours include lunch at the ranch.
Laura if you have time .is it safe to use the tiny public intercity buses? Can you keep 1 bag with you. I felt the posh ones were so expensive plus we still had a bad incident! I m astjmatic so find always get ripped off. .....
The colectivo vans you mean? I have taken them in many parts of Mexico and have never had a problem. You probably don't want to get on there with a large suitcase, but a backpack or small carryon bag should fit ok by your feet.
For two people it's definitely steep, but as a solo trip I actually think you get a lot of bang for your buck. I’ve paid over $200 a night to stay in a midrange hotel in the US and breakfast isn’t even included. I think $400 for 3 exquisite farm to table meals plus an activity per day with a knowledgeable guide is not terrible when compared to that. Never mind all the intangibles of being disconnected, a peaceful nights sleep, stargazing, smores by the fires, and interesting conversations with people who really care about what they’re doing. It’s certainly not somewhere I would splurge an entire week on, but I think as part of a longer Baja adventure it’s incredibly worthwhile.
What an incredible place! I had not heard of it before. Very special indeed

Looks Amazon Laura. Great view over the bay, all the way to Punta Arenas lighthouse! Is that the ranch owned by the Walmart family?

Hola Laura! Tu español suena perfecto. Eres hablante nativa de español?
Gracias! No soy nativa, pero he estudiado muchisimo!!
so when are you going back and anymore thoughts as to moving back to Baja Sur? You are made for Baja, just saying
How much does it cost to stay there?
Looks like a great place, but holy moly, it's very expensive. You forget to mention that?
