    Hi there buddy, thanks for the video! So I am returning one that I bought from Walmart, I cannot for the life of me get labels to print the right size!!! I was doing it the same way you did in the video. I am going to buy the same one that you have in this video. My question is, after setting up all of your presets and settings, do you have to save and edit every label or can you just purchase label and hit print using the label printer and not have to mess with adjusting/editing the label to fit on the 4x6 label? I hope this makes sense!! I sell a ton on eBay and I am sick of cutting labels out of paper and using a bunch of clear tape to put them on my packages!! I hope you can help guide me!!!! Thanks again for your videos!!

    I’m having a problem with size direct from eBay from AirPrint. It keeps printing like it’s on a a4 paper so when it prints a 4x6. The label is so small

    • @TheChaChingKing
      @TheChaChingKing  26 дней назад

      I don't use Apple, but see if this works. If you want to print a 4x6 size label, in the print dialogue, please be sure to select your "Paper Size" appropriately (for example 4 x 6).
      In the presets settings, you can permanently save the settings for this printing to avoid repeated settings. I'm pretty sure you have to set it up in your presets and then make sure you scroll down when you're buying the label and select 4X6 label. If you buy the label first and then try to change it to a 4X6, mayhem ensues.

    Not cheaper.
    A monotone laser printer with separate drum and toner delivers the lowest cost.
    That label printer only prints labels on only thermal paper.
    My laser printer can print labels, documents, envelopes and many other items. I can print on a wide variety of media. Most of the media I print on is actually free as its left over from various lots of auction items I purchased for resale. I also have a backlog of many cases of Staples paper I purchased for $4.99 or less a case on rebate (thats 5,000 sheets per case).
    A single high capacity toner cartridge is rated at 12,000 pages with 5% coverage, but two labels per page take up less than 5% coverage so it prints more than 12,000 labels. I am still using the same laser printer from 2001 and have only replaced the drum once.

    • @TheChaChingKing
      @TheChaChingKing  2 месяца назад +1

      I believe that it is much cheaper. Laser printer shipping labels are more expensive than the thermal labels. Like you, I also have a laser printer and love it. But I wouldn't ever use it to print my shipping labels. Less convenient and more expensive. I LOVE my laser printer. I replaced an ink jet which, I'm sure we can both agree, are REALLY expensive to operate. But I don't use it for labels.
      That said, if someone already has a laser printer and is comfortable using the half sheet peel and stick labels, there's no need to buy a different printer.

    I recently bought another brand of label printer, but this seems to work the same. I learned the hard way that the Bluetooth feature doesn’t seem to be as much of a time saver as I had hoped. I have to save the label to a file through the eBay app, then open the printer app, find that file saved on my phone, resize and rotate the label, print the label, then go back to the file on my phone, delete the file, then delete the label from the app. I was hoping that I could print it straight from my eBay app like I could my with my ink printer, but it looks like a WiFi printer is needed for that, and the are pricy.

    • @TheChaChingKing
      @TheChaChingKing  2 месяца назад +1

      You are correct on every level. For me, the biggest advantage of having BT is that the printer is still available if something is happening with my computer. If you're like me, when I need to print a label, I NEED TO PRINT A LABEL. lol So, having another way t get the label printed without any downtime is reason enough. The reason I got my first BT printer was for something like this. I had a regular wired printer. After a Windows update, it caused my particular chipset in the computer we built to no longer work. Like...ever. I got around it with a BT one. I eventually built a new computer because editing videos pushed me to need to.

    Hi TheCHK, after about a 25 year break from ebay, I am once again (in my retirement) beginning to source items and sell them on ebay. Somehow, I made a mistake on the weight of an item that I shipped and ebay adjusted the shipping charge and charged me an additional $1.26. I had actually made 2 labels for the same item; one was for the correct 12 oz and another was for only 1 oz. I am guessing 'obviously' that I picked the incorrect label to print and ship. My question is, does ebay automatically 'fix' my mistake by charging me the difference? I am absolutely okay with that but am wondering if I will receive a strike for my mistake? And yeah, I need to pay closer attention in the future.

    • @TheChaChingKing
      @TheChaChingKing  Месяц назад

      No strikes for the mistakes. We've all made them. But not only will they charge you if you underpay, they will also refund you if you overpay. Seriously. Since I always round up the weight, I get far more refunds than I do charge.

      Wondows typically requires you to set the printer in 2 different places to 4X6. Set the printer to 4X6 on Windows in Devices & Printers. Then, you will probably have to do it before your print you label in eBay, too. It's not an eBay thing, it's a Windows thing.

    • @TheChaChingKing
      @TheChaChingKing  2 месяца назад +3

      I think it's a Windows thing more than it's a printer thing. Windows requires you to set your preferences in two places. You have to do it in the Devices & Printers on the computer. You also have to set it in the printer. If I remember correctly, The College Picker had a video about it. I think this is it. ruclips.net/video/KMJXozAAE0M/видео.htmlsi=6_J6RB2vRUkfJYLu

    • @TheChaChingKing
      @TheChaChingKing  Месяц назад +1

      The cost of the labels vary a lot. If the two items could be combined into one package, you could ship them together. But you do have to buy a shipping label anytime to ship something. You only have to pay once. If you buy your label through eBay, you don't have to pay again at the post office.

      Depending on the printer, you may need to plug it in initially to set it up. But, this one has an app, so that wouldn't be necessary. You could operate it solely on BT.

    Hi Scott, just sold an item that was originally 125.00. Buyer made me offer for $50. After some negotiations, buyer is taking it for 85.00 plus shipping. His texts through eBay were a bit strange and he spelled a lot of words wrong. I looked him up and it showed he’s a seller with 22 sales and 1,109 in feedback??? The feedbacks are duplicated a lot? What would you do? He paid already. Should I be worried?? What should I do I have to mail it by tomorrow, Thank You, Robin

      If he's already paid, you need to follow through with the sale. Ebay would ding you if you didn't.
