Samuel Wakefield yeah I'm right there with you, I also always do repairs for free cause I want people to be happy. Blows my mind that actual shops do shit like this.
First thing you do is ask for them to show you current work, completed work. If you like what you see, but still are not comfortable, ask to set up a time for you to come in and see a job in progress. IF the shop refuses to do that, then they have something to hide, just say thank you and walk out, they would ruin your car anyway. This goes for wrapping, painting, or repairs... if a shop says you can not "see" work in progress... something is shady. I use to love showing customers what I did when I was working at Lexus of Tampa... I always did/do what is right by the customer... Which is part of the reason I maintained 100% CSI for the two years I worked there, and never get complaints from my current position.

If a client wants to be sure they choose right shop, asking the shop to see completed work or see work in progress at the shop isn't the best idea. i think a big part of why wraps cost so much is you are paying someone to care about your car. It just takes diligent, continuous effort which requires some kind of motivation, whether it's caring enough because you're the one driving it or because you take pride in your work and/or because you're getting paid enough. Looks like whoever wrapped this was missing all of the above

I guess some of us care about our rides and definitely care about someone else’s ride and what they think of the quality. I would definitely take this back to the shop and get your money back, make sure they tear that crap off cause they maybe liable for a new paint job. I would also use this video as a guide to others on the quality of their skills with there shop name/number/address plastered everywhere.

the wrap costs as much as her car 😂😂😂😂😂
no wrap costs that much lol
Seth N. Yup. She had a 3to4k car
She should get paid to have her car wrapped
This video was straight to the point 10/10
It depends on how much she spent $1000 will get you that vs $3000-$5000 that takes the car apart to wrap everthing and seal
Gent Xhani she spent $3000
Gent Xhani spent 2,400 on a 2014 raptor wrap and that included disassembly and professional installers.
for $3000 surely you can get the car painted
No shit for that price compared to paint the paint is the superior option. Just paint it if you're going to spend 3 to 5k. The paint job would probably come out cheaper even for this car and it won't peel or tear.
In UK to wrap a saloon car its around £1100 and that premium wrap with a well known car wrapper, that is $1500ish.. how in america does it cost $3000-$5000 to wrap a car???
I feel so bad for her, it seems like this is the kind of market we have to work in now.... which is sad. I work on tractors for a living, if i do a half ass job, i'm out of a job. It's unreal there are people who would do work like that and admit their profession openly. I wish her the best of luck.
I cant be the first to say this but...
Vanilla Ice went from singing rap to wrapping cars?
You don’t sing rap you just rap 🤷🏾♀️ here’s what you should’ve said
*Vanilla Ice went from Rapping songs to wrapping cars? *
That’s why I’m afraid of trying to wrap my car myself
I’m currently wrapping my Ls430 the only hard thing about it is disassembling the headlights bumpers door handles trims ect after that just go slow learn from every panel pretty fun
money back? i wouldnt have paid in the first place.
Jiggz Romey she probably was to excited to look at the details. Probably looked good at a glance until she started to really inspect it and realized oh shit.
And they probably hemmed and hawed until sunset THEN let her come get it.
I wrapped my son's Miata then a buddies truck (thanks to your vids) and they came out 1000X better than that.
Never build a legacy that you will be ashamed of....What a piss poor job!
CK to the rescue!
Wow.... even my first wrap wasntbthat bad lol... daaaam... cant believe these guys have a shop
Mustafa Mahmoud lol i know right 😂
Exactly... I drove my first wrapped car to work today, and it still looks good for my first time lol
sure as hell looks better knowing someone got robbed for $3500 for that
My first wrap was almost flawless and it’s been several months now and no fingering or defects. I watched a lot of CK videos and other channels. Check out my vids to see me wrap my Porsche.
2QUICK I just don’t get how someone with a shop would let that leave their shop in that condition. It’s the worst I’ve seen.
My first wrap was ten times worse than this lol. I put a 12" clear strip across my hood. Didn't even bend or morph it, just flatly applied! I got a piece of dust making a bubble on one side, and the knife cuts are horse shit. I don't know how to cut the excess off and make it curl under and stick. It just flaps flaccidly.
The company should be brought to court and stop the business completely forever
You sure she didnt do it by herself...?
+Shifty she didn't, have a screenshot of the shop who did it advertising it as their wrap
Thats insane. The employees must be 90% blind or something
Empire wraps did this lol
Stormtrooper 2323 no. Toronto wraptors did it. Staz or some shit is the guys name idk some tool
I knew this was Ontario cuz of the building behind you, your voice and the license plate reassured my thought. I'm also from Ontario.
There would be no shrinking if it would of been installed correctly.
The company that installed this shit should of never let it out of the shop.
Bad install end of.
Bad bad bad
I am gonna wrap my car first time ever in my life within a few days and I am ok to this result. this car doesnt look bad from a distance :) If I can at least wrap my car like this, I will be glad.
A short amount of digging shows that it was most likely from "Wraptors Toronto"
Beags how did you did that out ?
The Owner's wife was getting super defensive in the comments, when I posted that comment, So all I had to do was facebook search, showed her car vinyl wrapped by that shop, and then found out her husband owned it.
Beags thanks for the help bro
I can confirm it was Toronto Wraptors
ruclips.net/video/le3WxUcYyFw/видео.html
I just started wrapping my car a couple weeks ago and I thought I was doing bad with a couple wrinkles in the hood but I feel a lot better after seeing this 😂
I know that shop. It’s called FARAGENIC FILMS. There cars only look good from a far.
GRANNY SHIFTIN AP1 no it was done by Wraptors Toronto
one of the reason why I never let anyone touch/do my car. except CK wraps!
The car is garbage anyway
I wrapped my A pillars on my truck with some 3m vinyl from eBay and it looked perfect for a good while, then it shrank back as much as in the video and looks just as bad. So i do believe it can shrink back that much and didn't look that bad at first. I'd still want my money back or to have it redone.
Bro I’m a beginner and I would be satisfied if I wrapped my car like this. I’d rather spend my weekend and end up with this than paying 2-3 grand at a wrap shop!
Glad to know it’s the full video and not half of it
I just wrapped my first car and it looks similar to that 😂
Lol mines to I don’t care though my car still cute 😂
I’m a higher intermediate level wrapper still learning and practicing, this makes me feel much better about my work, luckily none of the work I do gets back to the client, because my mentor makes sure that the work is done up to industry standards and better. The people who did this wrap needs to go back to working at McDonald’s or do better
I'd be pissed off if that was my ride! Maybe they were going for dark blue accents everywhere with an industrial razor knife cut look😅😂 hopefully the guy who did this work got canned and sent back to wrap school
Hey at least the wrap school is right down the street
Shocking work. Great video
They thought they could get away with the shit job because she’s a chick. Thought she wouldn’t notice, wouldn’t care, or wouldn’t know any better.
Most definitely
Or not everything on earth is sexist and they're just shit at wrapping.
The Original EB no, I’ve seen men have really bad wraps too, keep your feminism to yourself
Or possibly they just suck at wrapping
And obviously she didn't know any better if she paid for this
I feel 178% better about my first wrap job.
you get what you pay for mate. installer myself i charge well take my time no complaints.. when people say " oh but i can get so and so to wrap my car for 600€" i say go ahead mate i can barely buy materials for that, its a real shame because when we try put out good prices like im sure you do aswell they see this and completelly gives wraps a bad name, you have came a long way in your channel man and sincerely enjoy your videos and yes learnt a good couple of tips of you, just be carefoul slagging people off yes id love to name and shame too but rather let people use them and let their work tell the difference. good video tho its to show exactly this is what you get when you dont do research. she made the right choice choosing you your work is top notch 👍 -
Jason
You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.
@Jason Taylor No man that is the same excuse the men in blue use to hide corrupt cops, screw that. They need to own it, and fix it, and fire the jerk who did that.
Jason Taylor is currently unemployed. Gee, I wonder why. 😄
Looks like my first time wrapping on my door 2017 sti.. but at least it got better as i went and learned from mistakes. Even I know at least if im at fault id correct it and own up to it.
Good thing it wasn’t a real evo
i think a big part of why wraps cost so much is you are paying someone to care about your car. It just takes diligent, continuous effort which requires some kind of motivation, whether it's caring enough because you're the one driving it or because you take pride in your work and/or because you're getting paid enough. Looks like whoever wrapped this was missing all of the above
Lol wraptors cutting into the paint again not the first time we heard about this company cutting and doing shitty wrap
The original blue paint is so beautiful already.
Lol Nice job covering that license plate😂 i could see the last 5 digits clearly ZY 066 from Ontario
Stram Kusse feel cool?
Wow! That is ATROCIOUS!! She should definitely get her money back! That is unacceptable!
How could it be so shitty to carry out the wrapper?!?! I'm just shocked by what I saw, I never thought it was possible! Even not professional who wraps the first time in his life will do better.
Even I would have done this job better with CLOSED eyes! )))))
The problem is definitely not in the film, it clearly shows that this is not the memory of the film.
And I would have dared to assume that they cut the film with a KITCHENDUTY knife :)) Otherwise, I just can not explain how it was possible to do so CURVE cuts))
Man, help this girl, make her a quality wrapper.
And you must tell everyone who did this bad job.
I consider myself a beginner car wrap enthusiast and I would be totally embarrassed to let anybody see this. I would of ripped this up on the very first panel and give up on wrapping cars.
It does look bad but I mean it is a lancer... the wrap Is bad too
Italo Romero 😂
She wont tell you???.try asking her again, she is standing right behind you....😁😁😁😁
The wrap is almost as bad as her car😂😂
Yeah and the next guy to come along could probably pick your work apart also.......
get a real paint job
Act like people never fuck up paint too
Thanks for showing an example - however you don't need to throw them under the bus. You don't need to blow out someone's candle to make yours brighter. I'm sure there was a point in your career where something wasn't perfect.
I completely disagree with that logic. But word of mouth will probably hurt their business in the first place. You do not send someone's vehicle out in that kind of condition expecting to get paid for it. If you ask for money, then you are asking for a review
@@Francisco-Danconia that's between the customer and the previous company.
It's unprofessional to bash another business. But if that's how he wants to be, I would never speak ill of another business, that says more about my character than their work.
It's fine to point out these flaws but there's a professional and unprofessional to way to do so.
@@kittybexson7170 do you feel Google reviews, yelp and such are unethical?
Give her that money back, whoever did the job. That's how Shops try to do us Ladies out here. Must we bring our boyfriend's or shotguns every time we want to do straight business?
Dang! I feel for her...coz I have a Lowrider Minitruck and, I'd be on The News getting handcuffed if I didn't have people Praying for me to "Be angry but sin not"!
#Justice
Lmao
Your intelligence is showing.
Damn cant believe you roasted her boyfriends work like that with him being present. I mean "notable shops" work :) lol
This seems like advertisement for your shop..
Lmao your blur was as worse as the people that wrapped this car🤣
32K-086 IS THE PLATE (ONTARIO)
Peter Thompson like why dude
LOL
Good job you can read
Uh oh, looks like someone's jealous.
Yeah.. That's exactly what happened. #autismawareness
Agreed 100% they jacked that up
Looks perfect.
Better than my wrap skills but i had crappy vinyl😭😭 some ebay matte nardo grey its sooo thick
If wrap my car like this ,, everyone got to start somewhere!!
I am just learning how to do this now I am gonna have nightmares that he is gonna show up in my driveway and grade my wrap. I am under enough stress already
hey CK, what does it mean you mention fingering on the door handles? what exactly did the previous installers do? And what should they have done instead?
I was just wondering if you could explain to me how the marks were caused at 03.15 ?? '. Ive just had my car wrapped in avery dennison roaring thunder in gloss and on one part of the door i can see loads of those channel things! How is that inflicted?? Thanks
For a beginner is it easier to just remove the panels then?
I wrapped my own car and had some of these issues. The fingering around edges, funky corners, and some irregular cuts. It wasn't nearly this bad, though. I think some of those things just come with the learning curve, but you don't just cover them up. You have to take the piece off and redo it.
3yrs Late to comment on this I know exactly why they did a "shitty" wrap job...As you mentioned that place does Lambos etc....They probably wanted to do the Mitsu Lancer fast and get it out so they could consetrate on their High Money clients...I know this cause there a dude that caters to wrapping only Exotics and High End cars...and this guy in my Car Group asked him to wrap his Hyundai Sonata and got a very poorly job on it and the guy wouldn't fix the wrap either...Pretty lame situation!...
goes good with the Flaw Stars sticker lol
