It's not communism at all. What these creatures have achieved is far more efficient, and they do it all without currency, central government, or anything we humans have to come up with to keep ourselves in check. If such creatures were endowed with the intelligence of a human but with the mindset of a superorganism, human society would be nothing more than a hopeless wreck compared to their superior efficiency. We have a lot to learn from them, and communism is not part of that cirriculum.
I agree, and there is something to dig (or i should say to dive !) here. In my opinion, that's why all "more evolved" life's forms have a better looking (also from our artistic p.o.v. of course). In a way, complexification of life beings, lead to better intellectual capacities and a lot of other types of adaptation. In the "visible" world, it may also lead to better "beauty" shapes, because of the competition for reproduction and survival ( like some flower or some bird feather, or some behavior for example, and some human body in our case ), but these adaptation could only appear in "good and easy" conditions ( for example near or at the surface, with a lot of oxygene and mineral ressources and light..). I may be wrong, but i think the sinisophores don't care about their look, or are fashionistas ! (But of course they are very efficient in their own deep unlighted & highpressurized "World" ) I mean that "out of space" real aliens could be very much beautiful than any tiger, dolphin, peacock, butterfly, rose or "you name it"(or any human, in case you're proud of your shape). All of this to say, that it's a shame that WE let billions of years of evolution, and "beauty improvement" diseappear, conscienly (and worst, much by our fault), because astéroïdes or volcanos do not think, or are even found of art ! However, i think that deep seas creatures are a beautiful form of life !

Nothing in the ocean will ever beat that one bizarre one with all the different "stuff" hanging off it. In the first one it is clear what does what, front moves it and the last sting and the middle digestive and reproduction. I've also wondered how strong those long ones were. Being so long, if they were strong enough, they could quite possibly entangle some fairly large creatures and slowly digest them.
