- We're heading up a mountain trail in extremely cold weather with Teddy from @UnwindingRoads . Most of the trail is cover in a sheet of ice, making traction for the Jeeps extremely difficult. Add to that, there's some great rock crawling on this trail. Is my 426 Hemi Jeep Gladiator on 40s unstoppable? Lets find out.

Great content guys just a quick one I’m in the hunt for a Jeep Gladiator North what kind of conversion have you had to yours? Love it
Just glad you spelled my name right haha. No one can spell Mariolo correct or say it really lol.
@@Exploringthewildlands I had to double check to make sure I got it 👍🏻
Glad to be part of the team 🙂
👍🏻🇨🇦🦌hi i'm your winner do you have a telegram channel i wanted to verify that it's not fake ?
I love your show . Iam 80 years young. I had jeeps over the years. My friends and I would take in the things you guys do , only in Wv and va. We have hundreds of miles on the Hatfield trail system. Wv welcomes all.
Both Gladiators Look Awesome and Did Fabulous with the Bad Trail Conditions
I have a jeep.. but just realized.. having a jeep without a winch is like having a can of tuna fish without a can opener.. 😂
Best channel on RUclips!! Personally, I hope you hit over 1M subscribers so you can’t afford to stop making videos. The rig is sweet, the scenery amazing and I can’t even imagine the work that goes into your filming! You need to keep it up so every day Joe’s like me can keep living vicariously through your adventures!!
Thanks! I appreciate it.
another awesome adventure up Eagle Mountain.. Thanks Shaun & Teddy
I was once a logger in central Oregon and I logged all year long, I never bought “snow tires” or studed tires but what I did was had my highway tires siped , I never here people talk about doing this but I believe it was the best snow and ice traction.
The Gladiator really does look Unstoppable! What a beast! Looks and sounds great! Great adventure.... All you & Teddy needed with that soup was sum Bacon 🥓
Another great run. The view of the snow caps from the top was amazing and your comment about the mindless minions down below was spot on. So many people live so close to natural beauty, yet would rather live their lives in the rat race.
Small thing I noticed…filming in the darker areas with rock lights on works great. Who would have thunk it 👍👍👍
15:21 Given the homeless and drug problems Vancouver is experiencing, them being "oblivious" to the fun you're having is soooo right! It's really sad though just the sheer contrast between what you are experiencing and what is going on in a city that's visible from such a tough off road trail as this!
I'm loving watching your adventures. I dream of doing trips like this soon.
Dude i love your buddy’s jeep that thing had mean looking rear end 😂😂😂
Lol thank you. It's getting there!
Awesome video ,definitely pays up having the proper equipment, great handling ,the view from the top just gorgeous and Teddy's dog just perfect
Scout says thank you 😂
Sweet climb! Thanks for sharing. I have to say the music in the background is always on point. With the views from the drone, 👌. Thanks for making it an experience.
Glad you enjoyed it
I would love to be able to find some of these trails and then the people to join of course 😆
Awesome views, and loved the music changeup as well!
I am so amazed at where you go with your Jeep. Retiring in about two
I years and can’t wait to explore Canada. Greetings from Florida.
Thanks for watching!
Great video! Looks like you guys had fun 👍👍
Awesome video. The scenery is Awesome , thank you.
Great video capture. The quality of the cinematography is outstanding as always!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You now have this killer, unstoppable rig.
Thanks for the video, I enjoy everyone of them.
Glad to hear it!
The amount of power your truck now has is unreal🤙🏽🤙🏽
Awesome video… love your drone footage! 🔥
Awesome trail run !
You guys are crazy, I love it! Keep up the awesomeness!! 🎉 🎊
Thank you! Will do!
Love it,it was pretty cool, Dear Shaun.
hate missing the live feed but always enjoy the content..
Thank you Shaun for another great video 👍
No problem 👍
Great video! 👍🏻
LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!!!
Yeah trying that log is how things get broke. I would have winched from the beginning, holy cow. Glad everything worked out though.
Nicely filmed video of great trip! Both rigs were awesome, I could not decide which sound I liked more - diesel or Hemi 😄
Glad you enjoyed!
Man that was some great! Content guys loved it .. y’all Rigs look amazing
Did you send me give away? As me being a winner?
I got scammed by your page
Chain's are no good.
You should've brought a Slinky!
Such a wonderful toy!
Great video as always 👊
Awesome thanks
Your amazing trip I really like it I like off roading but I also like your music in the offroading time in video...
@numenechinwe2608 sorry I don't have telegram
From 1 of your less than 100K's . Always watching it get better....
A Sean looking forward to the video East Coast cabin here can't wait to see some more snow carving we're about to get a huge snowstorm here 30 cm dumping in like a lamb out like a lion is what they say...
Really enjoy your adventures and your commentary along the way. Plus the awesome scenery which is the icing on the cake. 👍🏽😎
Awesome, thank you!
BC is insane. I’m just East a bit, North Idaho.
I have a set of fibreglass waffle board bridging ladders for the stream crossing situations you were in. I’ve used to bridge for an H1 Hummer, so would be good for your ‘little’ Jeeps! Lol!
fun run, and yeah the ice can be scarey on trails that get tight, and have obstacles on either side.. recovery gear to get yourself out of a pinch is a must out in the middle of nowhere with little to no help available.. try not to power yourself out.. rather try once or twice.. then pull cable/rope.. and when winching.. you can do a steady 10-20second pull with the winch.... tapping and getting little burst of tension on the lines causes more harm than good. can cause premature wear and tear on your winch controller & the relays/solenoids... slap teddy for me for blipping his winch on the creek crossing....
That's the remote. Apparently there's a recall for it. I haven't seen it yet.
Cool adventure!
Good old Eagle Ridge, used to wheel there in the 80's and 90's
It’s a Whoopie Sling, hammock campers have been using those adjustable ropes for a long time
Awesome epik video 🤘🤘👍
Awesome video! glad I was able to make the premier!
Thanks for coming
beautiful adventure congratulation
Всегда отличные видео, спасибо 🤝👍👍👍
Love both the rigs !!
Hope you can run Pritchett canyon in moab this spring.
That rig is ready !!
Will be doing it 👍🏻
@@TheStoryTillNow Awesome !!
Awesome rig Teddy!
Thank you!
I'm wondering why the hole was not filled before the second rig tried to go through with smaller tires, makes sense that if the rig with bigger tires did not make it one would make the call to fill the hole for the next rig with smaller tires.
Great video, great views. Say, what exact pressure do you have in tires on the trail? Tnx
👋💯👍ALWAYS BE PREPARED, HANDY DANDY WINCH , EXTENSION & COOL STEPS ADDED👏👏🤗 EPIC ADVENTURE INDEED, AS ALWAYS‼️
Awesome!
That gladiator is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes, and sounds mean!
Is eagle mountain for more experienced people such as yourself? Another awesome video so close to 200k, been around since 60k. Your videos, Casey’s and Unwinding roads, etc (way to many good overloading BC RUclipsrs to name are really opening up how beautiful BC is to people. About to purchase a 2004 jeep liberty on 31’s and a 2.5in lift this summer is gonna be amazing.
Eagle has two routes, one that’s easier and one with some obstacles.
Hi TSTN, just a heads up someone is trying to impersonate you. They were sounding pretty legitimate about a give away. I just wanted to make you aware, cannot message you on Instagram as you don’t accept messages.
*I hope you stay on the Mainland* no trails big enough for the Destroyer over here on the Island *haha*
Your truck is nothing short of impressive on those rocks!
Engine sounds good
As a gladiator owner myself. Curious about the maintenance and upkeep of an engine swapped Gladdy. Costs, time, difficulty etc. Since you can't just pop into a shop somewhere.
Thanks for the Ride ! ❤
Thanks for riding along 👊🏻
❤
Are those Mickey Mouse Gucci sneakers in the opening when you show the steps? Lol
Yes 😅
Haha. You like to drag your ass like me!!!! Another great video. The ice adds a new challenge….. woohoo freedom recovery gear. Love mine…
You don't need chains if you got a winch and experience.
a rear differential and lockers help too 🤣🖕🤣
@@KrazyMitchAdventures well ya, I'll have both of those in the next 5 hours.
@@OverlandingOverLand I have a Subaru
Because everyone knows that ice isn't slick in the least......
@@wilburpost7977 Chains offroad, is the dumbest thing you can ever do.. The problem with chains, is they dig,. Chains are great for blacktop, and should never be used off road: I've only been wheeling since the early 1970s
You guys should do a budget build
Long time subscriber. Love your adventures. I think the jeep is sounding obnoxious. I don't get the hot roding while overlanding out in the peaceful wild 🙉🤷🤦♂️
Hey shaun you got a nice rig out there but im pretty sure that if you change you tires it’ll become even more unstoppable
What makes you say that? These tires have been excellent. What do you recommend?
Yay !!
I miss the content with your Bro, Braun... and his
yota.
How satisfying can it be when you build a rig that takes any skill out of it.
It’s called having the money to do whatever you want to!!
You’d need a built up rig like that to conquer that mountain in those conditions. You jelly?
You still have to be able to drive. Just ramming stuff isn't wheeling.
Cool video, as always! Could you try the new Ford Ranger Raptor? I know it's more of a "speed in off road" type of vehicle, with the baja mode and everything, but it looks cool and would be interesting to see how it does in these type of situations, rock crawling, mudding, the type of off road that you do!
have a good week!
The answer is less good and easily broken.
You can put Shaun in a 2001 beige Corolla and he would somehow get it to the top of Mount Eagle.
Curious to know gas mileage / fuel tank range. I have a Tacoma and have often contemplated a longer range fuel tank, but that v8 of yours has to guzzle fuel...
Hello bro. Tell me which camera do you shoot all this beauty with?
Do you guy’s ever use tire chains in different situations
-649°c is only like 28° in real temps.
SoupEr Nice view! :-)
the first scene literally showed its stoppable
I'm surprised you didn't try your MaxTrax to get up the log instead of going straight for the winch. Showing off the adjustable extension?
I thought about that after and regretting not thinking of it at the time.
I wouldn't ever call a jeep unstoppable because eventually it's gonna break down
👍
Hey Shaun did you change your gearing when you put 40 zone or did you just leave it be?
Maybe nobody else misses it..
40s just look so right on a Gladiator. Wondering if the bigger diffs are more noticeable on the rocks and obstacles even with the 40s?
I haven’t really noticed them.
😊
😂😂😂😂😂😂-840C😂😂😂😂good video! Thanks😊
Glad you enjoyed it
I think this trip would have been much easier if we hauled 800lbs of chains to the trail, aired up, spent 20 minutes putting them on for each icy section and then air down to keep going. Rookies.
800lbs lol 60X4 lbs..good video I'd put chains on for the whole trip but I'm still stock suspension & tires.
@@jasonh4167 chains for bigger tires get heavy quick. 800lbs was an exaggerated joke lol realistically they probably weigh about 40 lbs each. X8....
Seriously? Why remove them? Eighteen wheelers run on pavement from time to time. Specious argument.
@@wilburpost7977 I was making a joke. Aired down tires on snow keeps you on top of it instead of sinking in from the chains. The chains are great for ice, not bottomless snow. Same idea with skinny tires. That's why them snow wheelers have massive wide big tires, aired down. Not skinny tires with chains.
@@wilburpost7977 the key there is PAVEMENT: Chains are not designed to be used in dirt, when your tires start to spin, with chains on, you will dig, and dig, and once you are through the ice and snow, they will dig holes in the earth below. You can't Air-Down and use chains at the same time, chains defeat the purpose.. its just easier not to use chains at all.
10:05 unstoppable
why did you take the Rubicon decal off? stealth mode?
Green and red was a bit too Christmas for me
Chains....?
What model Is the gladiator lights? Thank you
KC Hilites
Are those steps aluminum?? I had steps on my rubicon and they rusted out in less then a year...
@TheStoryTilllNow what's this now?
Awesome . What's Teddy's dog's name ?
Scout! :)
Was that the eco diesel?
Yes, the silver gladiator is my tuned ecodiesel
What kind of gears do you have for the trail destroyer? With 40’s and a V8 I’m guessing somewhere between 4:88’s and 5:37’s. Taller? Shorter? Always thought I’d be happy with 35’s, now I’m second guessing
4:88
@@TheStoryTillNow cool then I don’t have to regear when I go bigger
@@Aimstraight762 engine power plays a factor here too.
Much better with the temperature translation for us Dumb Americans. -649 is like what, 50 Fahrenheit? 😊
cant wait to see
As soon as you bought this truck, your answer to everything became a foot full of throttle. That's going to bite you in the ass of you keep it up. You need to know when to use that power and when finesse is the way to go.
East Coast Kevin lol...
